Very well spoken sir. Thank you for this video. For a guy who has been taught history based on agenda and to promote a wrong narrative, this types of videos provide some solace.
Inclusiveness. We need it. As a person from Jharkhand, I can say that. Even if Jharkhand geographically is inside the mainland Bharat, we never see Jharkhand in popular culture. For bollywood, looks like we don't even exist. Only one film "Chak De India" had a reference of this State and that too again in a caricaturish way where the girl from Jharkhand says only "ho". Come on ppl. Jharkhand has given you MSD.

Ashoka Embracing buddhism 4 years ago Kalinga War & Buddhism falling cause of Islamic Conquest - Kind of opened my eyes and makes me question the Propoganda of Our Education system
I am worried that my child is now getting into education stage and will grow up with the same fabricated history that we studied. This is until he grows up to know the truth! How our education system lies stagnant from past 3 generations.
You don't need a historian for that answer because it's a political issue. You know why it's not changed since the Congress days from this video and previous videos. The issue with the current leadership not changing is the image issue leading to pressure from the outside world. For example the BJP government wanted to introduce the CAA.. there was a massive push from mainly the west and liberals. Leading laws not implementing. So if they go ahead and change unilaterally this will result with BJP losing power in some states. Stagnation.
@@nealrutgerskid but I thought a powerful country is one who has the power of taking its decisions unilaterally for and by the acceptance of its people . The diplomats shouldn't have a say in our internal issues . Right ?
@@smashedit4517 you have to think more globally in this globalized world. So say India unilaterally pushed ahead with the CAA. The first impact with Indian liberals will revolt in the face of this by protests, news articles in foreign media and other sources to cast a bad lime light on this law. This will have a cascading effect of OIC countries taking actions like sanctions of not buying Indian products seen in Nupur's case or worse violence towards indians. The wests actions will impact India by their sanctions to the effect that the economy will be lowered and bad optics for Indian global standing. For example if businesses are impacted do you think Indians will vote BJP when their pockets are affected? for example people losing jobs and unemployment rising. Lastly all these polls and standing like the press freedom, religious freedom standing done by European and American think-tanks have effect on global India economic standing like in world economic forum.. you are going to have issues such as credit and global growth projections leading low foreign direct investments needed to expand the economy. So the only way to do this is by increments and political and economic shrewdness. Outright actions will lead to the aforementioned actions by the world.

Emperor (Lord Siva) or King (Chandra Vansh and Surya Vansh) or Bhramagyana Rushi (Teacher/s of Vedantha Gyana starting from Omkara Para Brahama) are the divine concepts that were manifested from Sanathana Dharma. Even if you ignore the above-said concepts and just focus on the teaching by the teacher it was Lord Shiva as Dhakshinamurthy Avathar (first teacher) GOD has given lessons on every subject (GOD knowledge) to BrahamaRushi's, please refer to Vedantha or Upanishads to understand how Sanathana Sampradayam (method of teachings and method of understanding) was followed till today. Please approach any guru from Arsha Vidya teaching Advitha Sidantha for full details and understanding. Good discussion Ranveer, thanks.
I think History for the Little Student should be Made in Storical Form. Students Grasp Stories Preety Faster, so even if u want to feed them Philosophy it must be feed in their way.
There is no solid proof that Ashok was a staunch follower of either Hinduism or Buddhism before the Kalinga war. He patronized all including Ajiviks and Jains as was the norm during Chandragupta Maurya and Bindusara's rule. He did become a staunch follower of Buddhism after the war which is clear. Just because you have heard of only 3 hindu kings doesn't mean that there may not be others. Bhakti movement in south was heavily driven by the conviction to weed out Buddhist and Jain influence in Southern kingdoms. The problem of biased recording of history is not something exclusive to India. Every country or kingdom glorifies the protagonists of its struggle in order to maintain its legitimacy. Regional selectivism is also something very common. Taking the example of Ahoms. Why would a person sitting in Rajasthan bother about Ahoms and similarly why would a person sitting in Assam bother about Maharana Pratap. What they all can be bothered about though is the Mughals. What they did right what they did wrong. People like you often argue about the wrongs of Mughals being veiled but do you really think that there is any hindu kid today who doesn't hate Aurangzeb? Is there any kid who doesn't get angered thinking of Nalanda library having been burnt? Subaltern history is too complex and sometimes controversial of a topic to be taught to kids. Some of the good things like Bhakti movement are taught but if you start teaching about the caste system or the feudalish arrangement of administration to kids it becomes problematic. Delhi and Mumbai are at focus because they are capitals. If you shift the capital to Nagpur or Ayodhya then they will be at focus. We cannot have a geographic uniformity in importance of places in a country as large as India. That is the reason why we have states for better administration. Even in those states the focus is at state capitals. Bollywood is North centric because its languages are of north. That is the point of having regional cinema which we also have. Why should I as a hindi speaker give preference to watching dubbed Tamil films unless they have something extra to appeal to me? And of course there are many such south Indian films. And such films are not being made only now. They have been there for decades. It is just that they couldn't reach the non-native speaking audience due to tech limitations. Sikhs are shown in caricature form because there was a rising feeling of hatred against them during the whole Indira Gandhi fiasco. And this dumbing down was initiated partially by them and partially by the Punjabi hindus who dominate the film industry even today. Marathis are shown to be doing blue-collar jobs in Bollywood because that is the reality of Mumbai. If you go to any region which has had an influx of skilled immigrants who take up the white collar jobs you will see a similar picture. Have you ever seen a north eastern guy driving an auto in Bengaluru? Similarly there is also the phenomenon of unskilled immigrants taking blue collar jobs in places where there is emigration of the rich. eg- Biharis going to Punjab or Mumbai for blue collar work but nobody has a problem in its depiction.

I completely resonate with Ranvir when he said 9th -10th history taught to us was boring and singular and prior to that it was far more interesting. Actually that freedom movement which was taught made me loose interest in history. It was much later in life with the advent of other sources, that I started taking an interest in Indian History particularly.
The mindset of Nehru & the leftists set the tone for the subject of our modern history. Nehru was quite OK with the glorification of the Mughals. The original history & cultural heritage was not something Nehru was interested in. He was an uncrowned hier to the Britishers.
The position of Buddhism in 12th century of indian subcontinent ie. at the time of Muslim rule starts: "From Al-Beruni's India, a book of surpassing interest, we learn a great deal about the Hindu society as it then was. The Hindu mind still retained its virility and vigour and its mastery over the rugged realms of philosophy, so much so, indeed, that the Arabian savant was astonished at the profound culture and learning of the Hindus. The India of Al-Beruni was Brahmanical not Buddhistic. Bud- dhism had well nigh disappeared from the country, and that. is probably the reason why the Arab scholar never found a Buddhist book and never came across a Buddhist monk from whom he might have learned the theories of his faith." The worship of Vişnu was prominent, and Śiva had receded into the background. Book: History of Medieval India. By- Eswari Prasad P- xvii.
Is he a historian himself or just pushing somebody's agenda. Instead of bleming others, he should show that he is not biased There are hundreds of certified historian, and not just Congress, Nehru, Gandhi or so called leftist.

Oh hello! Everyone above the Vindhyas is also "Dilli" or "Punjabi"!!! Ask those who went to work in Bangalore, post software boom. My own niece spoke back to a local in Kannada (which she smartly picked up within months of moving there for study and later work) and said "everyone who looks a certain way (and I am being politically correct here) is from Dilli". The point I am trying to make is everyone has stereotypes. What I must concede is that a section of North Indians are just too brazen about such matters.
Didi you don't need to be so pressed about these things. I completely agree with most of your points, but I would never have the time to post them where they're not gonna be seen at all. I mostly just ignore ranvwer's content now cos he's obviously pandering to certain sections of society, one at a time.
very truly said.. though somehow Goa is always forgotten...its also a South Indian state :D but I agree abt that generalization... all South Indians are not Madrasi, and don't speak with that one accent... A tamil accent is very different from a Malayali accent as a Kannada accent is different from a Telugu accent..
WoW! This guest was savage 😮! I mean, he is right. If we don't write a proper narrative now, then how we expect others in the future to know about them.
You mentioned the stereotype names like “Madrasi” etc for the South and Sikhs and Marathis being portrayed in a certain way. Well Hindi cinema is not a benchmark for anything other than entertainment. How do you now explain the stereotype for “Biharis” and “Bhaiyyas of UP”?

9:10 to 13:10 - Excellent Sir! This humility was the essence of Gandhi - the essence of the true Hindu - We are not weak because we are taking multiple perspectives into consideration and acknowledging that we can only approximate the truth - as opposed to the 'arrogance' of those who take a rigid stance and impose their truth as the 'only truth'

No, it wasn't that people were afraid of this so-called "writ of the ruler". Nehru was apprehensive that if so much of complexity and, in some cases, negativity enters the minds of the youth of the day, nation building would suffer. He did want identity politics to take centre-stage. You can see the difference between India and Pakistan and learn the difference. Ranveer, if you have the guts, call Pakistani political analyst and now a historian, Dr Ishtiaq Ahmad to come and talk about the freedom movement.
How is telling you the truth that you were victim and British and Mughals were looters and you have given a great fight ultimately and your civilization has stood tall even after all the attacks of Mughals and all the politics of West , create unrest? Infact it would have helped in getting away with colonial rules then and there itself . We all have to understand one thing that British and western countries rules and way of working is not conducive to other regions other geographies and other ethnicities. That is what happened in Afganistan. We have many examples where this has failed , see our education system , not at all work oriented. Our agricultural system were the best , the permaculture which world talks about now , we were doing it pre colonial era .British officers were sent to teach our farmers the agricultural practice and there are records that Officers said farmers need no teachings , infact we have learnt from them. We had decentralized water systems , but British imposed there kind of system on us and now the experts are presenting ppts on decentralization of water systems . Altering facts is wrong and it did no good to us . We are civilized nation Because that is in our roots and blood .
@@asawari520 you make excellent points here. Owning the whole of your story as a survivor is the way forward. I would like to add Ashoka became a Buddhist 2 years before the Kalinga War, and not 4 years, I personally have read the inscriptions and according to his inscriptions he truly embraced Buddhism after the Kalinga War. And I don't criticize the books I was taught through, but I do criticize the way the Freedom Struggle was represented in them, The Chapter 2 in class 10, Nationalism in India presents Gandhi, Congress, Ambedkar, Bhagat singh and the feminists only, even swaraj party has been mentioned for god's sake, they should have at least given people like Subhash Chandra Bose and AHF a mention, I don't believe in the rightist ideology of SCB was better than Gandhi neither am I against Gandhi or Congress, if anything I lean towards the whiter Gray view but I wanted to know more about others as well 😊😊😊
Ancient times structures were not holy artefacts. Just like any oftice building today. If not fitted for purpose or changes owners, they can break it. Buddhists were all Hindus, often mocked contemporary brahmins, villified Draupadi, broke monk rules in sanghas. Corruption had set in hence had to be destroyed as every skiver, lazy person was joining them. Originally Buddha was Hindu, did Hindu rites rituals, yagyas, was known as arkabandhu wore usnisa. Were opposed only as they spoke inforrect Sanskrit. Purity of language is important. Esp when doing mantras, hence vedic scholars objected.

PS: MUST WATCH VIDEO IN YOUR FREE TIME.
For bollywood only Punjab and maharashtra exist 😂
Pretty good content - thanks and God bless you TRS!
We need more such true historians like Dr Vikram sampath.very well said sir .Good job ranveer , u are getting the right people for your podcast .loved this episode
This is how History should be perceived, history has always got tinges of mystery which can never be truly quantified!! Really enjoyed every bit of this conversation. Felt like being in our hostel rooms where we used to have debates fondly termed as midnight bach**i . Allahabadi's always rocks, Great initiative Ramveer 💪
History should be the fact of what had happened before. I am your fan Vikramji
Ranveer i would really like to ask them why don't a new history textbook be written by modern historians !?
Really be grateful to a answer !
@@smashedit4517 Modi work for muslims ... Because he knows hindus are gonna vote for him no matter what ...
India had been ruled by abusers in its history. To hide that Court historians tried to bend narratives.
All were told Ashoka was great because he left Hinduism and converted after Kalinga war.
But he had inserted Buddhism even before.
It is visibly evident how islam could gain ground by destruction of Buddhism. See taxilla , kandahar, kushan remnants etc.
I think most of the topics and the reality of Bharat and Hinduism you can have from Vedas and Upanishads. This is what I think🙏
I am from the icse board,i must say we have a history in which most of the things were covered in a good way it was kaafi interesting.Thankyou ICSE
Be Proud to be a hindu, your ancestors fought for it
I am so glad Ranveer that through your show and others like you we are getting the truth out about our history.
Shoutout to my fellow filipinos in India love you!
Even Indian freedom struggle was distorted by the Left-Liberal historian .
History is a truth of analysis. 🏏
Very well summed up
History is a fabricated document of past ..
I think History for the Little Student should be Made in Storical Form. Students Grasp Stories Preety Faster, so even if u want to feed them Philosophy it must be feed in their way.
I need to know correct history and where do we get books...
Similarly there is also the phenomenon of unskilled immigrants taking blue collar jobs in places where there is emigration of the rich. eg- Biharis going to Punjab or Mumbai for blue collar work but nobody has a problem in its depiction.
superb content trs..being teacher i would comment , 'to study history, we cant keep a bias' once again thank you so much... vikram you dont just have good knowledge, u have a sense of expressing history
Even today.. in Bangalore anyone who doesn’t speak in Hindi is debated that how come you are Indian and don’t know Hindi
Superb content . The myth about Ashoka is shocking .Hatts of to you Vikram Sampath . Your research and work and efforts are commendable.
Churchil said " why didn't Gandhi die yet". This alone shows the Importance of Gandhi in the Eyes Britishers.
It would be nice to have a session on the education system prevalent in India at various times in history. In particular, it will provide contrast to the current education system that seems to evoke a lot of frustration :)

@Mr : Al -Qurani ( High class Muhammadian ) ehh, you're not that great, you know. People have already "invented" solar meditation. Better luck next lifetime, dude!

The position of Buddhism in 12th century of indian subcontinent ie. at the time of Muslim rule starts:
"From Al-Beruni's India, a book of surpassing interest, we learn a great deal about the Hindu society as it then was.

3:21 DAMNN!! I absolutely never knew Ashoka was a Buddhist four years prior to the Kalinga War
Is he a historian himself or just pushing somebody's agenda. Instead of bleming others, he should show that he is not biased There are hundreds of certified historian, and not just Congress, Nehru, Gandhi or so called leftist.
When I studied, I felt it was more of study about the government and political informations like principles rules etc etc than history...
10:19 no Romila Thapar was hurt. 😂

Pushyamitra Sunga also patronized Buddhism; Mihirakula was a hun.

You simply described the principle core Abrahamic ideology at the end 😂😂

Denying painful situations occured may have been a Nehruvian tactic that accidentally got reflected in the educational system. That would be a charitable explanation for the distortion of history.

Why is the Present Govt not bringing the Indian official history so that it will become part of education
In all probability Aryans from outside invasion or no invasion. How ever the theory of reverse migration is sheer nonsence
Infact, including all things of indian heritage of the past would allow people of various faith or belief system to assimilate with each other as they can connect and celebrate it. Rather than glorifying islamic invader who committed genocides and desiccated Indian Temples.

Recent history books in schools from class 6-10 th are much worse. Anybody who has seen them, can affirm
