I love his attitude. “A turkey is a turkey” absolutely awesome
I kinda agree but I think instilling kids to only kill mature birds is better than settling for a Jake.
I love how involved warb gets the kids in the outdoors and lets them make a choice on their own!! Keep it up I wasn’t lucky enough to have a role model like that in my life but I will say they will never forget that moment!!
WAY TO GO MILES!!! This made me SOOOOO happy!!!
I felt the same way. Go Miles!
Me too. Made me look forward to seeing my young'ns get their first
Awesome! It made me smile big. Last year was my son’s first turkey, and it put me right back in that place. Also, it’s funny how our “guy” voices get higher in pitch the more excited we are for our little ones!
@@brutalnature5481😂😂😂. Like our dog voices but for kids!
How goes the smoke pole ol boy ?
Killed my Missouri bird today. 23lbs, 10 inch beard, and 1-1/8” spurs. On my family’s land, to boot. My first turkey in 8 years and first ever solo turkey! Still have another tag left!
Gotteem, ole son
Congratulations buddy
Good deal🦃🎯
Congratulations, we have another week before season opener in Canada. Hearing about everyone getting birds has got me wanting to roadtrip...
Heck of a bird
1. The reason I enjoy Ted’s hunts is his excitement. He was so excited to hear a gobble. 2. Warb leaving it up to miles whether he wants to shoot a Jake or not is so cool. So much attention is put on getting a tom or a big buck but when it comes to kids, especially on their first bird, anything is a trophy.
The three note yelp is really how a lot of hens talk after all of their initial early morning calling after fly down. Listening to live hens is about the best calling lessons you can get.
I love young hunters, a turkeys a turkey, love that way of thinking, when we get older we almost forget to have fun, way to go Miles
The hen that came into Greg and Nick sounded just like an old box call! So cool.
UA-cam needs a hearts button! Love this one! Brought back great memories of my son's first turkey(s). A turkey is a turkey! ❤
Miles, you absolutely SMOKED that bird! Congrats on the first of many more birds to come!
Miles!! What an awesome addition to THP. His enthusiasm is so genuine and contagious, thanks Warb for being such a great step-dad. What a way to set the tone for the day. Got something to talk about at school. Love the Home hunt every year in Missouri.
This is the best video I've watched so far. When Warb said "a turkey is a turkey and he was all for it" was awesome to hear. That boy was just excited with a Jake as he would have been with a longbeard. Great job!
It’s because of your videos that I got into turkey hunting and bow deer hunting three years ago. Today, I harvested my first ever turkey and did it on public land in Wisconsin. Called in a fired up gobbler to twenty yards.
Thanks for the great videos and inspiration!
Congrats man!!
Congrats Miles on a great bird. That's what I call a Weber bird! Fits on a Weber grill perfectly and taste delicious. Hopefully that excitement never leaves you.
CONGRATULATIONS Myles!!
Watching your kid and you get that 1st bird brought such a huge smile to my face. This right here is what it is all about! Great work and great memories!
My grandson got his first turkey opening day in Missouri. He's ten and used his 410 with tungsten shot at fifteen yards. 24.6 lbs ten inch beard and inch spurs. Grandpa is proud!
This is what its all about. Great job Warb. Miles is definitely hooked. His answer "A turkeys a turkey" was the best line i think I've ever heard. Congrats! Congratulations Congratulations
Best line of 2024, "Hey, a turkey is a turkey."
Nice job with the boy’s first turkey. Lifelong memory there.
Typical tough hunting for the other boys. Early season before greenup is my toughest time. They stop and scan sooo much the setup has to be perfect
Awesome job 👍 young man that's how you get it done 🦃 your dad is a great dad 👍
I just got my son his first bird Sunday after 4 years of trying I was so pumped!! Awesome for that young man
Hell yeah buddy. A turkey is a turkey, be grateful for what you can get and enjoy the meat!
Talking with that hen was easily worth getting up in the morning
Never ever had to roost a bird in my life 🤣
Opening morning here in Kentucky. I was DONE
Right as the sun was coming up
He flew directly into my Jake and hen decoy setup
25 lbs 1 3/4 spurs. Two Double Beards 11 inches long !!!!
He’s went directly to the taxidermy shop
Taxidermist said it would be hard to beat my bird … He was visibly shook when he seen him in the back of the truck 😅
Good to see Miles get it done now he don’t have to play hooky from school this week. Good to see everyone had action opening day just a little too warm the first few days but this weekend we may need long johns 👍✌🏻🇺🇸
Damn, I can’t believe we’re already on the 23rd episode for this year. Time is flying man it needs to slow down. Good luck to everyone this year.
You can slowdown but time speeds up
Another future hunter he's hooked for life you are a great mentor asum let's goooooo🦃🦃🇱🇷🇱🇷
THP Team- I love the youth content. This had me cheering louder than touchdowns during the Super Bowl when Miles got that bird. What a trophy, Little Man!! How long before we see regular youth hunts on the Deer Tour???
I tagged out at 7:45 am this morning on a nice Tom in Minnesota on opener sat in rain and had three Tom’s in my decoy setup within 15 minutes the thing I have learned from thp over the last few years scout scout scout i literally spent the last two weeks on these birds roosting them keeping them in the area with the stray hen calls and I literally got to hunt for about 10 minutes made my decision very easy this year I will be trying a Wisconsin season too also this is my third year tagging out in a row never tough by anyone but myself and UA-cam videos and just being out there with the real birds !!!!!!!
SO pumped for Miles!!! this made me smile from ear to ear!
The first 15 min of this video is why UA-cam needs a love button and a like button. So fun to watch!
My son is 10, and in his second year hunting public land in our state... South Carolina. We have had some tough hunts, and he was a little discouraged. We've been on some birds lately, and he is charged back up. I hate you weren't successful, but it helps to show the young ones that even professionals have a run of bad luck. Thanks for showing the whole story. PS. Birds in our state on game lands have doctorate degrees... they've seen it all.
Warb you are the heart and soul of THP!! You are a great teacher for that young man. Reminds me of my dad taking me for the first time in Eastern KY 31 years ago. Killed my first longbeard that day......31 years and 71 longboards later i get to pass it down to the next generation like you are doing with Mr.Myles! Congratulations young man! Keep knocking them down!!
teach em how to be safe ........ ; )
Congratulations Miles! I love the excitement. Makes me wanna go back and watch my kid's first turkey too.
Greg is always carrying a massive amount of gear.
I remember all of my 3 so s birds. Great to see warb help him on his first bird. Congrats. Cansee every turkey like yesterday. Even though it's been 35 yrs.
Great episode!! Loved hearing the hen talk on there. Great shot Miles!!
This video and the one where he killed the buck last year are the BEST!!!!!!!
"Down he goes"! great shot Miles! Congrats!
I’m glad the kid was excited and successful. I hope warb instilled in him it’s only mature birds from here on out. A turkey is not just a turkey. Everyone gets the Jake pass for their first bird but after that it’s only mature birds
Way to go miles!!!!! That's what it's all about he smoked that dude. He will never forget that
Awesome job Miles 🦃❤️. I called in my 6 year old grandson his first 🦃 this year and it was a Jake. Made my season especially since I got him the 410 he shot him with
Congratulations Myles !!! That was awesome
You the man Miles ! Good times in the woods guys. Always remember a turkey is a turkey! Have fun and don't stress the small stuff.
Man I almost cried the way he got so happy for his boy that was awesome!!!!!!!
Nick, re your comment at camp about having to "go" at night. I used to piss a stream a cat could climb, and now I barely get an ounce out 10 times a day!! But I'm still turkey and deer hunting at nearly 80 and don't plan to slow down anytime soon. In fact, this past Monday I called up a flock before sunrise and killed an old boss 20 pounder that was bringing up the rear. Y"all are good hunters. Good luck and keep the videos coming. We love to watch them. West TN
Good job Miles!!! Congratulations.
Congratulations Myles!! Great shot and awesome attitude. THP - as always, super videos and content.
That was the best saying when miles said “a turkeys a turkey” 😂👍👍
Congratulations miles!!! Great first turkey! Great shot !
Love your channel! Opening day in Missouri my grandson Jacob got his first turkey with his 410 with tungsten shot..15 yards. 24.6 lbs,10 inch beard, inch spurs. He's 10 years old.
That was great footage of the shot by Myles. Congratulations!!
Man I love that little man got one. I'm over here feeling the pride for yall. This will be my daughters first year turkey hunting and I'm hoping she gets her first one. Way to go guys and congratulations.
I have to give it to him. Congrats. And welcome. A turkey is a turkey.
Awesome job Myles!! Great shot and great hunt!
Brings tears to my eye! Good job little buddy!
Awesome job miles!! I’m hoping to get my son out this week for his first Turkey! He’s 7 years old! Shooting a 410. What an exciting hunt for you and dad!
The videos with kids enjoying the outdoors are the best.
Congratulations Miles!! What a awesome morning!!

Ted I love the yota! Your still my favorite public hunter with Zack in 3rd and 2nd is held by the tree (three) amigos. You're holding down first place with the most entertaining, educational, insightful of the group
Some great hen talking content in this one to learn from
Turkeys a Turkey is exactly right Myles! Glad that you understood the importance of the victory Warb! A Happy hunter is what is important. Awesome job!🦃🇺🇸🙏
Great shooting Myles! And it goes to show you, history repeats itself 😉 Warbs said yeah dad killed his first turkey right off that same tree, jake just like yours. Trust your instincts boys, the spirit will lead you every time.

Warb, you might not be the father, but you are definitely a hunting dad. Great mentor. He took of like a shot. Almost beat the bird shot😜. What a memory on video.
