Hi Dale thanks for the video I tried adding the pause command but my wife's machine didn't see it so the way I found around it was making each run a different colour and that way the machine paused for a colour change
Hello there. I have a question for you. I removed the filling of the number 6 in ink stitch. I gave 3 millimeters as stroke. Then when you turn it into an applique, the number is divided into parts and does not give a healthy result.
@@serraninoyunevi Ok, with the six made with no fill and a 3 mil stroke, you should have duplicated it twice. bottom two are for straight stitching with stops and the top one is satin stitch. Which part is going awry?
@@LowTechLinux I did all of these. In the end I turned it into satin, the object fell apart. zigzags were not healthy. The same thing happened with the heart pattern I created. heart broke. zigzags are broken.
Thank you so much for this tutorial and for speaking in terms that I can understand. I followed your tutorial and created a simple circle border for patches. I only had one issue, my machine did not follow the stop and trim commands that i added. Instead it went straight through all three layers without stopping/trimming at all. I can still use my file and just sew a t a very slow pace and manually stop and trim but I wold love to find out the reason my machine is ignoring these commands. Can you help me?
Thank you for the kind words. What brand and model number embroidery machine do you have? One thing you could try as a work around is to change the color of each layer. That would instruct the machine to stop to allow a color change. You just hit continue on the machine when you're ready for the next sewing run. Hint: it doesn't know you didn't change colors 😁😁. Let me know if this works for you.
@@mindrhapsodyofficial Looking for bug reports on your machine to inkstitch. Please try to save and use the format .vp3. It seems to be the only one inkstitch and your machine have in common. let me know if that works for you please.
@@LowTechLinux I figured VP3 would be the best format for my machine so that’s how I saved my file. I will remake it or edit my file, in ink stitch with different colors for each layer and see if that works. Thanks for the tip. Do you know what type of stitch I would need to make free standing lace designs? I think it will require multi layered stitches in order to hold shape and not unravel once I remove it from the hoop and dissolve the water soluble, stabilizer. Also, I’ve noticed a few differences in the ink stitch I have installed on my computer and the one that is featured on the official video tutorials. For instance, I watched a tutorial that showed how to install the add ons and thread lists and according to that video, there’s an option to print off a list of thread brands and colors used in the embroidery files we create with ink stitch. My version doesn’t include the print option. I wonder if it’s a new feature and I have an outdated version or if my version is the newest and these tutorials are outdated. Or if my add ons or thread lists, didn’t load properly. I know it’s a lot of questions. I guess I need to contact ink stitch support but they seem to use words that I don’t understand.

Is there a way to do the appliqué, then do the text to make the word Home to be in the middle of the appliqué? The design would have Home Sweet above the appliqué, Home in the middle of the appliqué To Me beneath the appliqué.(If not appropriate, please delete)
That would work fine. Do all the applique work first then finish it up with the text on top. Make sure it's a satin stitch font, fill stitch might get too dense.
Thank you for the tutorial!! The only part that I am stuck on is the break apart text... When I hit break apart it fills in any circles in the text. For example the small circle in an "e" gets filled in as black. Does anybody know how to solve this???

Hello
How do I get my screen to show the paths in detail with the layers on the right like yours?
Top menu, object > objects
How do you export the file to move over to the embroidery machine?

Shouldn't it be a knock out stitch... you have s video on that.. I'm new but I've seen different videos@LowTechLinux
knock out, or knock down stitch is mostly for embroidering on very fuzzy/fluffy fabric. for example the fluffy top of christmas stocking.
