There's a super consistant way to never miss the Lynel's face with an arrow. It doesn't work on spear lynels and you have to land the first shot legitimately, but after you mount the lynel and jump off, if you keep holding the button to lock-on while walking straight backwards and drawing your bow, for some reason the lynel will charge towards you once without attacking, everytime. Use this window to aim the easiest shot in your life. Rinse and repeat.
You'll never use durability on your weapons, but the lower damage the weapon, the more arrows you'll need. I killed the lynel on the plateau using a soldier's bow and a spiked moblin club in a few worry-free minutes using this strat. Just remember: Never let go of the lock-on button.
(This is the result of 3 hours of research and dying to the lynel on the plateau.)

Alternatively, Stasis+ is great for avoiding detection in the first place. Just time stop the Blademasters, and run right past, or Sneakstrike immediately once Stasis runs out.

20:58 reminds me of doing the middle trials and having to land 30+ successful parries in row with a badly damaged shield. And then finding out there's two more scouts on the same floor.

It's been a while since I played the trials, but in master mode I'm pretty sure the weapons you have at that point literally don't have enough hit points to kill three scouts without breaking.
@@jacobg5122 its far easier than trying to parry all of them to death, plus you have way more than enough weapons. the beginning trials are the only ones where you have a weapon shortage. or did you not get the secret chest by using magnesis on the wall in one of the floors? that might change your opinion
Master trials kicked my ass HARD and I never even got around to doing them on Master Mode rip

Hey Ant, love your speedruns! I kind of have an interesting idea for a run. Complete the Great Plateau as you would normally. As soon as you get the para-glider, set a timer. Maybe an hour or so? That is your time to prepare. You can use that hour to get whatever you want to fight Ganon. After that time you must immediately head to Ganon, without picking up anymore items and fight him with what you collected. I'm curious what you would prioritize getting and how you would handle it.

I started a "nuzlocke" of my own 2 days ago but with a few different rules.
1. Permadeath. Falling in lava and drowning also count as permadeath. Since those things would be a guaranteed death irl.
2. No bombs in the overworld since bomb camping makes the game way easier and weapon hoarding way too easy.
3. No food since its OP. I can only heal from completing shrines, and by resting at an inn. No fairies either.
4. No champion powers.

Fun fact, lava is actually so dense that you can just walk on it. It even takes a few seconds for your shoes to catch fire. There's vids on UA-cam check it out
This is the kind of challenge I want to see. Rules like "can only use a weapon once" don't make any sense at all. Yours kind of makes it more realistic.
The pole at 12:20 can be climbed with 1 stamina wheel. You have to jump at the pole then link will do a extra wall jump and grab for free. If you then climb till you have a sliver of stamina left and jump he will make it to the top. I was bored last night literally spent 20min practicing it... lol

Just a heads up for mounting Lynels: You can easily headshot them every time you land a parry. Much easier than trying to hit them while moving.

You could also mount them everytime the lynel does the charging attack, albeit you have a very small window to do it, but at the very least you won't have to use arrows.
I think he knows, it’s just risky as fuck when you’re on permadeath. we might see him do it more now that he’s got mipha’s grace to fall back on.
Also after mounting them, when they shrug you off, you can bullet time and get a bunch of headshots in the back of their head. Super helpful technique that I never see people use.
I usually headshot them when they use the fire ball attack

i feel the no repeat weapons rule would end this challenge really quickly.
It depends on how you interpret the "No repeat weapons" rule. If you mean you aren't allowed to use a specific weapon type spawned from a specific location again, then it would be fairly easy. On the other hand, if you interpret it to mean you are not allowed to use any of that weapon type again, this run, it would make every weapon you pick up precious (as losing it could cost you the run).

You can sneak strike enemies without the stealth armor, you just have to creep very slowly up to them. Hold the stick just barely forwards until Link moves slowly.
You can also paraglider behind them, but you can't let go. You have to glide all the way to the ground and let him land gently.
Should do a Master cycle% you could call it vroom% or emersion breaking% also a video showcasing other cool ways to abuse wrong teleport

I actually took some of your rules to make my own version. I don't think it's harder but I very much enjoy the challenge.
I did this challenge on my own recently, and I found that when you get off the plateau, go to the valuable Talus in the lake near the ruins! I got a diamond and sapphires, along with other valuable minerals. I sold them all and got 2000 rupees!
The only weapon it cost me was the Sledgehammer from the Stasis shrine and some axe durability.
Finally! Something where my 15 minute master mode Plateau Silver Lynel speedrun comes in handy! Granted there's more fighting, but a 108 Crusher would do you a lot of good. Hell, even a 70 Crusher is still good. I really should brush up on that I guess. It's been a while.

I have a challenge! It’s not nearly as masochistic as this... it’s more focused on exploration rather than combat, no towers, (except plateau) no teleporting, no map, no talking to impa or upgrading runes (you could do this *until* all 4 Devine beasts) no master sword until all Devine beasts. You can make it harder if you want, but this challenge is mostly focused on noticing the world around you- looking for landmarks and letting yourself get lost. It’s surprisingly fun, and makes me pay more attention to the world around me. (And along the way enjoy some of botw fine environmental storytelling) ;) good luck!
idea for a new pokemon challenge: Side By Sde: the way it works is you basically take two corresponding pokemon games (Fire red leaf green, diamond pearl, etc) and play both of them at the same time. any input you do in one game must be inputted at the same time in the other
rules:
the teams cannot share any pokemon
you cant input commands during things like battle effects where inputs dont do anything
in order to win, both games must enter the elite four at the same time and both win in the same try. i.e if you lose to lance in leaf green but beat him in fire red you have to restart the elite four in both games
Another challenge you could do:
The Assassin Challenge
You're only allowed to use Swordlike weapons (daggers,greatswords etc) and bows, but you can use as many as you want. No Shields (except for shieldsurfing). You MUST use the shiekah armor. You MUST play on Master Mode. No Combat Bombs.
You can use your rules too, like permadeath and such.
I did this challenge and it was pretty fun especially the atmosphere that comes with playing as a assassin shiekah!

Huh I feel like at 25:17, it would have been better for Ant to shield parry the lynel, because that would stun him for enough time for Ant to launch an arrow into its face and then mount it.

Korok Leafs are actually really OP. One of my most used weapons lol, it's fun to blow enemies away, down a steep hill, or off a cliff! They all end up in the same corner to collect loot too.

I'd create my own Nuzlocke Challenge around this format.
- Master Mode Only
- 3 Hearts Only
- Allowed 3 of same weapons at any given time in your inventory, but are all single-use.
- No Master Sword
- Perma Death
- Allowed to skip fighting some enemies.
- No DLC Items that give boosted stats like Attack, Defence, Swim, Climb, or Guardian Resistence or Motorcycle.
- Horse is Perma Death if killed.
This is an awesome idea, so much so it inspired me to start my own run but I changed/added some rules
Main Rules:
1. Death = Restart
2. Must be done in Master Mode
3. No Master Sword
4. Must do all 4 divine beasts
5. No save scumming to fix mistakes
6. Horses must be nicknamed and if they die you can’t revive them.
Added rules/challenges
1. No Food/tonics in combat (its a nuzlocke so its basically the ‘no items in battle’ rule). Maybe this should be a main rule?
2. No inventory upgrades allowed (or limit the amount of upgrades allowed)
3. No DLC equipment/items allowed
4. Only 1 fairy allowed in inventory at any time
5. No Monster Masks
6. Only 60 (maybe 40 or even less then that) Shrines maximum can be unlocked to add more resource manage for your heart containers and stamina bar
