I'm literally confused on how hated this shrine is. I saw a lot of unpleasant reactions on this shrine from both comments and videos, then when I did it my own, 90% of the time I was savescumming to modify the Iron Sledgehammer for the Stone Taluses' exterminator. And for the optional challenge for the giant ancient core, It didn't even take me more than 5 tries using the same sledgehammer.
@@buffmon1038 How I feel about certain shrines in totk. Go through, beat it on the second try. Go on the internet EVERYONE is complaining about how obscenely difficult the shrine is (it's the rail shrine)
Clearly, Link really just doesn't like getting his hands wet.
Only with Zelda it's an exception
But he's okay with fondling balls for hours
@@shatterednova_ I swear zelda's ruining him
This comment and all it’s replies are cursed.

"You think you're smarter than all 4000 people in Chat?"
I mean, technically there IS a smartest person in chat at any given time, always
You mentioned view count, TIME OUT
True, but the odds that it’s any given person are extremely low.
Also the second and third smartest all count to the collective intelligence of chat so even the smartest person in chat will usually not be smarter than all 4000 people in chat.
Anyone could come up with the solution to a problem. That doesn't make them "smart" or anyone else "dumb." There's no real single definition of "smart" that applies to this situation at all, so I'd say "being smarter than anyone else in chat" is a completely meaningless concept.
@@Nat_the_Chicken I think the opposite is true. Smart is way too loosely defined to be used in a general statement.
It is only in this context that smart has a very clear meaning.
I'd even go as far as to say that restricting it to a specific situation like "problem solving" is the only place where the use of smart as a comparator has any meaning at all.
This is just semantics anyway.
One of the best-edited videos on the channel, great to rewatch
Rest In Peace:
Here lies SmallAnt, defeated by his own bomb arrow while trying to transport a ball across the water
Worst one is the ones where they make you rotate the switch to move balls through a maze. Frustrating
Turn it over. No more maze. It’s actually stupid easy.
@@Sauce_Doc Theres another where you have to move three balls simultaneously within a maze its deffo the worst one, I know which one you're meaning though!
@@Sauce_Doc it's not stupid easy when you can't see the damn screen
@@Iristallite take the controllers off the switch lol
@@Batterylicker they could be using a Lite
I don't think I'll ever get sick of watching Ant do shrines in unintended ways
6:40 love this edit
solid 9 minutes of theory craft condensed into 10 seconds
Devolopers - Its like your playing golf you gotta make it in the hole
Smolant - Im about to cryonis this mans whole career
I hated this shrine with all myself, and after a tedious amount of tries I've managed to complete the way they intended to do it, omg it's a totally new form of masochism
"The best solution to the problem is usually the easiest one."

For me it was the stupid tilting puzzle ugh that one actually angered me
I just flipped it over
For me it was the fire mission. I didnt understand at first but eventually got it.
Same that one sucked sooooo bad
i unintentionally moved my switch for a second and somehow launched the ball, i felt so bad for completing the shrine unfairly.
I played Botw on PC, the tilt controls are fucking impossible. It took me about half an hour to beat a shrine that was supposed to be easy.
After all of the trial and error at this shrine I found that 4 hits with a large 2 handed weapon (Iron Sledgehammer) followed by a single hit from a one handed sword usually does the trick.
Ant: Uses balloons
BallBlight: _surprised pikachu face_
😐
Ball: *moves 3 feet*
Ant (at 4:10): "Ooo, That was a good one!"
I spent many hours trying to accomplish the shrine’s second part. I screamed. After these hours, I watched a tutorial with which I accomplished it.
I also fully expected a sledgehammer in that last chest. Would have been icing on the wound.
Love the dude in the chat who said “4 will work eventually”
Sometimes it does work..sometimes.
I literally had to glitch myself between the bars to get high enough to jump over the barrier. I put a octopus balloon thing on the ball and shot arrows at it to make it move out of the barrier into the water. Once I glitched myself on top of the metal bar, I used the ice thing to pick it up and throw it all the way to the whole. I had no clue you could hit the object while it was frozen to make it launch until I was almost done with the game. I thought it was just for freezing stuff lol.
Don't they literally force you to move an object with stasis in the tutorial for stasis though?
@@isaiahschmitt8680 no. I was shield jumping or using other tools to do it. My first time playing it was on PC a year or two ago
Everybody gangsta
till Smallant cheese's the Mirro Shaz Shrine
Cheese implies you make it easier than intended, and I feel like this way is about 1000000x harder lol
cheeses*
Cheeses to make it more entertaining
The shrine cheesed him
Nice pfp
This wasn’t that bad. They ones I hate are the ones that have the motion control apparatus. It’s a nightmare on a switch lite.
This is a challenge run
There's actually a pretty simple solution to those, at least, if your playing docked, just turn the whole thing upside-down.
Fluxuous he specified on lite
Aka you can’t dock or do table top
I usually had my joycons detached or my pro controller
imagine playing it on a wii u emulator with *no* motion controls. imho, the motion puzzles were the worst thing about botw. hopefully in botw 2 they arent added.
I only ever had to deal with those on a Wii U, so it wasn’t that hard. Doing the same with a Switch Lite certainly does sound like a nightmare.
if you move the ball back by a few feet from where it spawns and perform 6 hits with a 2H weapon it's almost a guaranteed goal
Before I even started the video I was thinking "This is about that fucking golf one, isn't it?".
"man wastes 30 minutes on optional virtual puzzle"
More, its permadeath
80% of this video is SmallAnt hitting his head against a brick wall
The other 20% is him failing at math
this is the most invested I've ever been in somebody completing a single shrine
Ah, the joys of watching a man visibly shatter
All I can say is oh no.
Then I saw permadeath I just said oh no but louder and more emotionally.
Remember kids, intended strats
Me: You know, we never got any more updates on the BOTW Nuzlocke on UA-cam. I wonder what happened?

Man, that bomb arrow was real life perfect comedic timing
This is an example of how dedicated he is.
He went through so much pain just for us, guys
Unnecessarily 😂🤣💀
on one hand this dude commitment is commendable and way over where i would have pushed myself, on the other hand i was let down by the octobaloon strat, once the chat clipped the "pick up" line the mutual agreement between streamer and viewer was imposing him to actually keep trying to defeat ballblight with that strat
in any case kudos, you gave me and awesome 15 minutes
I spent like 3 minutes in this shrine and just decided to leave it. i really don't have much patience for this lol
"Test of Patience" a truly fitting name
10:06 - The moment his soul cried out in agony and then was silenced.
Ant: so what did we get for all that effort?
Me: definitely a hammer
-“the pen is mightier than the sword”-
*the ball is mightier than the sword*
And thus, the mightiest weapon was devised, the ballpoint master pen.
Has he seen that part yet
*The Ball is mightier than the Iron Sledgehammer*
(long throw)
Does that mean the ball is mightier than the pen?
Oh my god I am in total agreeance with you in that this is the single worst shrine in breath of the wild. You have no idea how many broken weapons, reloaded saves, and countless hours were required for just the FIRST part. The moment I saw the bonus room I just said screw it and completed the shrine. That’s how much I hated it
"Am I willing to waste my one bomb arrow?"
"Yes"
On that day, i scream
Smallant: I’ve spent so long wrestling with this ball
Bomb arrow: I’m bout to end this mans whole career
Using a tree branch to kill jelly: Breaks
Countlessly hitting an iron ball with a hammer: Survives
0:55 that actual hurt my soul
