You skipped removing the brake caliber, rotor, brake caliper bracket along with removing the hub bearings with can be very difficult because of rust and corrosion. You need to update your video to include these steps
I enjoyed watching that clevis blot positively jump out of the hole like it was eager to make a break for it. Most people end up spending an hour cutting and hacking at them to get them out.
Replaced CV axles in a 2005 jeep grand Cherokee AWD 5.7l still have this clicking popping sound when accelerating. We purchased bushings to put in front end because the bushings are wore out. Do you know how to replace those? The clicking and popping has turned to a never ending click click click or a random pop.
Is it a bad thing if my stub shaft didn't come out when i took the CV axle out? I have the 5.7 limited with electronic lockers and quadra drive 2 system and wasn't sure if that factored into it
Great video, but it's so strange that you skipped the brake section. What makes it so much more crazy is you didn't just start and end the video with the brakes already removed, but you start with removing the wheel, then completely skip over the brake section as if it didn't exist. Then, when reassembling, you get to the point where everything is together, and the next step is reinstalling the brakes, and then you cut to reinstalling the wheel. Lol, at that point, just cut out the section where you remove and reinstall the wheel. It just seems so ridiculous to include that portion if you're skipping the next step, which is not a simple step and is actually quite complicated. In addition, you clearly did the brake portion, so why not include it in the video!?!?!?!?? My brain hurts thinking about these decisions.
Awesome video. No nonsense or useless content. This was clear, easy to understand and to the point. Very effective tutorial, so much so that I've decided to change the axel myself instead of paying mechanic. Thanks for the educating video.

Nice video but not sure why you skipped the brakes and rotor.

Can u guys say the size of sockets we need? That would really help.
The big hub nut is 36mm, the clevis bolt is 21mm head, 24mm nut. The others should all be in a standard socket set, 21mm is the largest.

wheel bearing? Ever change the fluid in your front differential?
Can you just disconnect the lower ball joint bolt and get the same result?

Can that spindle nut be re- used?
Do you know if the 2007 grand cherokee laredo 3.7l calls for anti slip or anti lock kind of cv axle do you know?
you ever figure this one out. Most videos are the 4 by 4s
You're talking about the differential type, has nothing to do with an axle.
You’re supposed to torque suspension while tires are on the ground. I no longer trust any process you talk about. Lol.
Love how he skips over brake caliper and rotor
Was this a limited or non slip diff?
Unless a car says specifically that it has a locking front diff, like a G-Wagen, 4x4 front diffs are open diffs.

What size is axle nut?

Why does your Music have to be so loud....scared nearly the life out of me? Yet I love your videos, very informative and easy to follow.

Should replace the oil seal in the diff while you are in there .
Pretty useless to upload a "how to video" and skip several critical moments..
Sure left out alot of steps should redo video
Skipped getting the strut off
They didn’t because you don’t need to but they did take out the Clevis bolt.
