Love your videos, they are well done and I really appreciate how you explain the steps really well. You don’t talk to fast which is also nice because I don’t have to keep rewinding like I do with other tutorials. Can you please make a tutorial for a quillow, I really want to make one, thanks!
Thank you! Very easy to follow and understand. Looking for gifts for xmas that won't break the bank. 😊 I look forward to more mug rug ideas...maybe something to carry these items when traveling or matching book cover as you set the relaxing mood. 🤔 Peace ❤
Thank you so much for posting videos I watch you everyday! I have made many things with you guiding me. If you haven’t already could you post a video on how to make a ironing board cover? I have watched others but they are hard to follow.
Thanks Sherill for your lovely videos these two projects are just what i need to make for some christmas presents hope fully i get to make them in time.
Great gift ideas. The only idea I would share, is to wait to trim the backing on the mug rug until quilting is finished. That way if there is any wobbling, you would have a nice edge to bring around.
Hi Sherrill I've been watching your videos and have learned a lot. I do have a question about the backing material , in the video Fall and Christmas mug rugs the backing was cut to a specific size and not trimmed, but you trimmed it in this one. I am going to do some coasters and you show specific measurements for those. What is the difference? Thanks for all of your great videos.
Hi Lorrie. In both of the mug rug tutorials I use a different method to finish off the edges. The method used in mug rug cozy is the easiest. Hope this helps😀 Thanks for watching💗 and happy sewing😍
When you added the quilting did you start and end on the top of the batting/top or at the edge of the backing? It looks like you started and ended on the edge of the backing.
Hi Sharon. I prefer starting on the raw edge of the fabric for the back. You will not have any thread ends showing. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
I made a table runner and once turned right side out I always stitch along the piece in the middle on both edges to prevent shifting. I use cotton fabric but by the time I reach the opposite end the fabric looks “buckled”. I end up with a “tuck” at each end instead of an even ending. Is it something I’m doing wrong or is one of the pieces stretching. Other thing I wonder is if my tension is too tight. Any suggestions?
Hi Kathy. Here is a link to one of my table runner tutorials: ua-cam.com/video/mTxA51sXXiM/v-deo.html Go to 09:00 and watch is from that point. I demonstrate how I finish it off. Hope this helps. ua-cam.com/video/mTxA51sXXiM/v-deo.html
Hi Sharon. The mug rug is 6.5" x 10". The finished size of the mug cozy depends on the size of your mug. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍
