A lot of smartasses think they know the shit when in reality they don't. Tiesto doesn't have his ghost producers do all the work. His ghosts refuse to take credit for what they did for him. Furthermore, Tjis has done sick works without his ghosts before 1997.
Jefferson Huang Nowadays, all his tracks are ghost produced. Yes, he did produce his own tracks back in 1997 when tracks were basically just a kick drum and a lead, but he didn’t manage to keep up with the times. Also, his ghost producers don’t “refuse” to take credit for the tracks. They’re paid and sign a contract to not take any credit. Furthermore, Tiesto is and always be a legend. But the hard truth is that he isn’t a producer. He’s a DJ.
Tijs Verwest (Tiesto) started as a DJ with vinyl records. Made some albums from these mixes. Not long after that, Tiesto produced the majority of his album In My Memory. This was around 2001. He got more famous and was the first Trance DJ who performed for a 25.000 men crowd in the Netherlands. His popularity rises more and more and therefore wasn’t able to produce all of his tracks anymore. Tiesto is a brand. He is an icon which I’ve got great respect for. So yes, there are ghostproducers involved but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing imo. Best, Emiel. And hi from the Netherlands.
He started as a gabber dj under the alias Da Joker for Forbidden Paradise. As the sound for Forbidden Paradise changed Joker became Tiesto and started producing trance. Now...he mostly produces forgotten bangers.
Yeah, and people working under minimum wage also lack time to pursue a hobby, but they generally try anyway. What a poor cop-out! Also forget about the emotional attachment/connection an artist provides through their craft. I always ask folks what 'brand' they prefer when talking about listening to music.
i think tiesto as this point is just a brand that benefits many parties. If youre a younger producer and you have a great track idea and your not as well known. You can probably send it to tiesto and call it a "collab" if he obviously loves the idea. It works out for him cuz its another track out with his name on it...but it works out for a lesser known guy cuz hell no longer be a "lesser known guy". I mean, notice how almost all his tracks lately are just collaberations. it makes sense and is actually a pretty smart idea
I’m a big fan of Tiesto since 2003 , i’m what is called the hardcore and old fan and i would definitely say Tiesto depends on a lot of producers through his journey to create his music but of course he has his touch and the unique style but ONLY IN TRANCE music and some Techno remixes. One of his ghost producers is Geert huinink , there’s also more of dutch ghost producers for him. Even Ferry Corsten helped him with creating some Tracks. Anyone who likes Tiesto for his tracks only have no clue about why Tiesto is a legend , Tiesto main success key is that he knows how to Dj he reads the crowd pretty damn good.
Since his early years of producing there are still great songs under his name and aliases. No Matter the style of his sound, Tijs still has kept that magic.
Tiësto, if you read me, I want to say you 2 things: - Your music has been inspired me. - Your track «Split (only U)» with The Chainsmockers is amazing!
Ayla, Adagio For Strings, Beautiful Things....a few songs that he presented to me. I didn't know of these songs and I probably would have never listened to them if it weren't for him. Dj's are legends and don't you forget that. The emotion they bring on the stage is what they are known for. Not the music, not the mixing, not all these other things. But the emotion, the feeling they bring behind every set. He is one of the greatest
Tijs is oldschool , he is almost 50 , so dont be suprised that he is a real DJ , and just after that a producer (and nowdays a businessman too. with some exaggeration, he is behind almost everything and everyone in the EDM world). and he is a fuckin legend (in dance music maybe the most influetioal name who ever lived ) and you have to admit that as a dj he was really a pioneer when he was younger. so honestly he can just go up to the stage naked if he wants, and press a play button while shittin' on the crowds face in the first row and people will still love and respect him. thats how big he is . He is like a fuckin' Jordan , Brady, Schumacher, Tyson, Federer etcetc. for the dance music world.
@@brianrhie7443 I would call it future bass. I know it's often called melodic dubstep but I'd say melodic dubstep is more Virtual Riot and Panda Eyes type stuff.
@@brianrhie7443 sure but their tracks have more future bass elements than melodic dubstep. I don't care what they call it, I'm still going to call it future bass.
I think he writes his own melodies, arrange the sounds and track. Its not that difficult. Then the rest of the tedious part is taken over by music engineers. Saves time and nerves! And he can concentrate on more important stuff.
i wonder you are considering about masking when you layer 4track of bass... can i know about your opinion..? Thanks for good vidio n music..! i subed!!
It was always Dennis Wakkop ,BT who used to produce for Tiesto's trance productions...Even in group like Goureylla and kamaya painters...he was just DJing not producing...ferry said it in an interview himself that in his project Goureylla he was the producer and Tiesto was the frontman as a DJ
Dennis Waakop told in one interview that he produced the tracks for Tiesto but Tijs was in touch with evevery track and menaged him how the track he wont to sounds like. But wee all know that Tiesto is great DJ and the most of his femous is from his live sets and compilation.
I mean when it comes to collabs, you have to remember that it's just not the sounds you hear, it's also the melodies and chords. And song structure of course.
Whoever wrote that quora thing, not doubting that avicii is much more of a musician but he had so many other people (including engineers) on a lot of his projects too...
*Tiësto wants to know your location*
How to Tiesto:
1. Have your Manager email your ghost producer
2. Done
Or:
1. Have someone else produce a track
2. Call it a collab
No. He does kinda sit and make sure it goes the way he needs to. He is a dj first not a producer.
A lot of smartasses think they know the shit when in reality they don't.
Tiesto doesn't have his ghost producers do all the work. His ghosts refuse to take credit for what they did for him.
Furthermore, Tjis has done sick works without his ghosts before 1997.
Lit Bro John Christian made this one
Additional option
1. Go to your friends studio while hes producing a track
2. Order pizza and pay for it
3. *"collab"*

i liked 2000-2010 tiesto more. but he still makes cool music
The best Tijs. Like a brand or wheatever you want to call him, even his body language at stage in those years was better than now.
Tiësto, if you read me, I want to say you 2 things:

- Your track «Split (only U)» with The Chainsmockers is amazing!
The Wendigowak That’s because it already was amazing when Ashanti did it

Have Memphy ghost produce for you 😁!

Idk but for me, it sounds more like old Nicky Romero style track. Good job btw✌🏾
Hey memory what was that effect you used for the pre drop when the audio tremolos out perfectly? I’ve always wondered
I took out all the reverb, and also make sure you don't have any long release on your synths :)
Memphy thank you! Now I just gotta try to find the plugins. And I meant “Memphy” not “Memory” lol
Panda eye's would be interesting 🤔
Is it with fl studio 12 or 20 ??
