As a new-ish producer / composer, but 40 plus years an avid listener, may I say that was one of the best sounding ‘take a vocal sample and …’ demonstrations I’ve seen. Thanks for this and your other stuff, it’s really a huge help to us amateurs!
I have used FL studio for 15 years and am an award winning composer and I have never known there was a randomize velocity nor a strum section in the piano roll lmao. Always learning!

I know this is more about producing, but any time I want to make something sound emotional without sounding cliche, I almost always hit the circle of fifths, usually arpeggiate it and just build around that. Truly just such a beautiful sound. Harmonic minor can also sound more emotional than dark if you can use it right

tbh I like the first one more than the others, but i guess it's just because the pro and expert levels sound more "generic" (to me) despite having a lot more detail, and the noob level is simple and nice. But of course, I know nothing about music really, I just listen to what I consider different in some way
you like more the noob one, cause the first one is the only one who can be considered music. others are just a showcase of a producer skills that does nt fit in the music. I also like the first one more. I guess sometimes less is more. Also a guy a long time ago said "music is the spaces netween the notes"

All seemed really good but I personally think the rythm in piano chords in the pro version clashes with that of the vocals.
I think it would sound better if the top 2 notes of the strum were either played 1 16th note earlier to further emphasize the accent of the vocal OR 1 16th note later to give the piano it's own pop, make it sort of serve as a snare and complement the vocals in that way.
During the first verse it sucked. Then, on verse 2 it made more sense thanks to the other arrangements
Beautiful! Sounds amazing! In the piano reel (where you can put out notes) you some times do a thing where you can preview the sound. Your mouse looks like a "speaker" and I guess you just click the chord. How do you do that?

Super awesome, in general I'd say, soft strings raise the emotional tension when used as a pad, but in this case, it wouldn't quite fit the genre, so well done :)

I think I'm somewhat of a level 3 producer according to your video, but imo you can go beyond that and have like 5 more extra levels of insanity but goddamn seeing how you show the noob process really takes me back to my old days, and ngl they were amazing 😍

Bro you really took us on a journey with this. At the end of the noob one I felt like there's not much more you could add, then I said the same thing after being amazed by the Pro version. But the crispness and atmospheric punch of the Expert had me floored. Excellent!!!!!

Nice video though. Didn't play but it just just played randomly while I was busy else where and enjoyed the vid it's dope. Suggestion though, you should look into utilizing the fl Playlist track mode makes things easier especially when recording or when using samples and loops. It makes the experience feel like other DAWs usually. But very nice man. Bravo 👏
