    25:26 for me right hand goes to V (C7) from Gmin7 and left hand goes to root and fifth of Gb7 which is tritone sub for C7. So you're playing Gb7 and C7 at the same time hence the "jazzy feel".

    • @bajtucha
      @bajtucha Рік тому

      No, I change my mind. Infact you're playing Gb7#9b13 leaving third out. Which is a great tritione sub for C7.

    You are the best funk teacher on UA-cam, and a hell of a player! Thank you for helping me so much already, even at this preliminary stage!

  • @AncientEnergyEyesOpen
    @AncientEnergyEyesOpen 2 роки тому

    This is epic. I'm at the bridge, and that left hand is so much fun. Once you get it, it locks in and I start bouncing.
    You have made me realize that I'm actually a decent piano player. Until I get to the tremolo...and my whole body tenses up and shakes left to right with my hand. 🙄
    Edit...3 weeks later and I'm at the end. My body and hands are relaxed (which only became a thing with this song) and I'm feeling like a pro. I've only had the weekends to practice this, and I'm super stoked that I finally made it to the end. You are a legend! Thank you for being my teacher, and not even knowing it.

      Hey Jonathon, I am preparing an 18 minute TED talk for next month called "Love Thy Piano - like you love yourself". I hope it's okay to use parts from this fantastic funk groove for it to finish it off - please let me know if it's not. I have added some melody and lyrics "two and three - give it all to me" and it's such a powerful finish "keep on playing - making your music dreams come true". I love it. Thank you again!

So thank you for taking that advice and adding that part. It’s a great composition to say the least. Thank you again!
