same, roughly around 2012. I remember sitting at home one night with wicked games on loop from his youtube page in awe at what I was hearing. Back then it was just the black and white blurred photo of him in some tunnel and you had to guess if that was actually him

This was the first song I’ve heard from The Weeknd… and from that point, he’s been one of my favourites

I really hope Jon sees this. There’s a song from Abel I found that I don’t think you’ve heard. It’s called down low, not on streaming platforms though. It’s a cover of an R Kelly song but it’s incredible. Never heard the RKelly version but with Abels version I have no need.
Ramin Djawadi using this song in ‘Westworld’ Season 3 was fucking perfect. that whole scene was amazing

i like that this reaction video is from a year ago. My first time hearing this was 2012, I was 13 so i was way too young too fully grasp the full context. But it did leave me emotional from the first listen. XOTWOD

Show me a better voice on this planet right now I’ve just started to listen to Abel in the last two years and I was 53 recovering from major surgery I found him through a clip on tiktok from killing eve it was save ur tears and that was it I had to know who this talent was and since then I went back way back to trilogy oh my god!! and then saw him live in dublin last summer I’m obsessed even more now he’s is in a league of him own in my opinion he’s my therapist my escape ❤

One of the best songs of all time in my opinion. At least the best of the songs that I enjoy/ that matches my taste. Absolutely flawless, the headspace that this song, and house of balloons as a whole puts you in is mental and as xxxtentation says, has also gotten me through a lot. Especially echoes of silence for me, is my favourite of the trilogy mixtapes. But wicked games, and the knowing for me being highlights of house of balloons.
I got to speak to illangelo and he said that he wanted to make some of the best music of the 2010s and i think it’s fair to say he nailed that
