    This is my unboxing and review of the new ROVE R2-4K Pro dash camera. It can record up to 4k 30fps, 2k @ 60fps, 30fps, and 1080p @30/60fps. It has a 150 degree Wide Angle 7-glass lens, Super capacitor, built in GPS, 5G Wifi, G-Sensor, Parking Mode, Time Lapse, Voice Guidance, Smartphone App for remote viewing, downloading, and playback and a 2.4" IPS Display.
    It's a compact little camera, well-built, and very user friendly to set up and use. I was really pleased with the lens quality. The video footage comes out vivid, crisp, and at 60 fps smooth and sharp. The smartphone app is very convenient to use because it allows you to remote view the dash camera from your phone, start and stop recording, change mode to Photo or Video and playback files to be seen on your phone. You can also download them directly to your phone for easy sharing, sending, or uploading to your PC.
    If you are in the market for an easy to use dash camera that has great quality video and lots of options in the settings, try the ROVE R2-4K Pro. It is a single channel dash camera (no rear). A TV OUT jack allows you to connect it to an external display/monitor/tv if you want.
    Also here is the link to the portable battery unit I use. Although the Yeti150 is no longer sold, the Yeti 200X is the next version up and newer model. It's great for when you need portable power on the go such as camping, road trips, outdoor work, traveling, emergency, etc.

    Hello Very nice video. Question about power. it looks like you are using USB to power instead of cigarette lighter. I have a usb connector and my other dash cam always thinks it is hooked up to computer when connected to usb power instead of cig lighter power. It looks from your video when power is supplied it just starts up and starts recording. This is what I am looking for. is this the way it acts.

      Thank you for your comment! Yes, I was using an external battery and plugged the dash cam in via the 12v cigg. socket. It powers straight up like it would if in a car. If you plug it in via a USB connector, it will not power up like a car but only as a computer because USB connector cannot power it up enough to run I believe which is why it has to be 12V power. USB can only offer 5V of power. Blessings.

      what iOS are you using? It requires 15.6 or later. Also check to see if you can update the firmware.

    Everyone says, "you'll need hardware to set up parking mode recording" but never explains what hardware or where to get it?

      It's included in this camera kit/bundle. I put the links in the description where to find it. It's called a hardwiring kit to directly connect it to your car battery. Cheers!

      No, he means you can connect to your phone wirelessly via WiFi. The dash cam needs to be connected via cable for power always. @@blendzblenndz7983

    You prefer 1080 60 on a dash cam that goes up to 4k 30? You even prefer it over 2k 60? Why?

    • @breakaway2x
      @breakaway2x  25 днів тому

      It all depends on how much memory space you have. It's always better to have higher resolution and frame rate but that eats a ton of memory space which reduces the amount of video time you can capture before the card is full and is written over (loop recording). 4k 60fps would be ideal but huge files. 1080p at 60 is good enough. But there's really no problem just using 1080p 30fps too.

      right? what is the point of getting the 4K if you arent using it. use 4k and if something does happen you can press that middle button to save the current loop video.
