Isn't this is an impossibly great song? It's got 4 riffs that just don't belong in rock, played so tight, with so much space, with no sludge. The most elegant hard music IMHO. Does anybody try to cover these songs?
Fuck they where a great band. So much better than the puss we are served up today. The only thing that matters is that they existed and we were lucky to witness this period of music.
@fairlane9 Yeah, it's funny how much the Jesus Lizard and just about everybody from the 90s borrowed from the Birthday Party. Nick Cave, by the way loved the Stooges... Jesus Lizard was fucking great, but fans should listen to "Hamlet" by the Birthday Party, and hear the blueprint for "Then Comes Dudley."
Fantastic! And to think that Nirvana, bloody Nirvana, shared an E.P. with this unbelievable band. Comparing The Lizard with Nirvana is like comparing sugar with shit!
So, people are calling Yow a poser because he took his shirt off and acted crazy... because Pop did it before? Hmm. I think anyone who plays guitar is a poser because Freddy Fender played guitar a long time ago.

I can honestly say he has spit on me. It was intoxicating. Literally. I was instantly smashed.
David Yow is the best frontman I've ever seen
