      Now that I'm not new, I do 2 carts and just move them around in a small square area in the middle of the store, leaving them where they are out of the way and then hoof it by foot to grab what I want, it's way faster than pushing two cards and now with COVID, many of my stores have 1-way aisles making it even harder. And to save steps I always get whatever I can, regardless if for A or B, so I don't have to retrace.

      Use a market write A/B/C on items, you can use the baskets inside the store to place each order in differant baskets, or use the reusable tote bags. I would never double shop, that would take so much time running around the store twice.
      The only issue I have ever run into is with the baggers at the store putting the wrong items with the wrong orders after you have seperated them. Then If you have them marked top left or right of each item when you get back to the car set 1 order in front seat, 1 in backseat and 1 in the trunk.

      I a bout had a public meltdown as well!!! LOL. I was too new, 3 orders, and then I couldn't find things and had to learn how to can't find this scan this instead, and then message 3 people at once...not going to tell you how long it took but I think the 3rd order was delivered a full hour later than originally estimated...bad, so bad. I went home, and my brain was done.

    label your insulated bags A, B & C so you know which items are for which customer. Use the different parts of the cart for different customers or place the items on the side of the cart the insulated bag is on. Also, at checkout, I always use paper so i can label the bags A, B or C. I have plastic Sterilite bins in my car that i also have labeled A, B & C. Yes! Organization is the key! Also, Great point about checking the addresses. It happened to me just yesterday that i drove 8 miles away from the store for customer A, but customer B was (you guessed it) 8 miles back toward the store. I really wish IC could determine the closest to furthest addresses in their app.

      I do the same with labeling A & B. I also bring post it notes to label for the larger items that go on the bottom of the cart. I have a large cold/hot bag that has a bottom in it and I will use that as a divider for A & B. I always have a sharper marker with me too.

    I had ordered from Sam's Wholesale Club which is 4 miles in a straight line from me, the shoppers GPS took her 8 miles the other way before I chatted with her that she was going the wrong way, does the shopper get paid for 12 miles mileage? A 8 mile bonus on pay for the GPS wrong directions? This happened two times to me already.

    • @DylanOwens1
      @DylanOwens1  4 роки тому

      Joey Barrelwilde no they don’t get paid extra for the miles... which sucks because I have been in the same situation as that shopper it’s very frustrating.

    On a 2 batch order, is the bar code the same for both A & B orders? I mistakenly got 2 items in A's that B requested. Saw that even though it was on A's receipt, since I scanned for B, A was not charged for it.

    • @DylanOwens1

    I’ve been doing instacart for a little bit but just switched over to doing the full-service soon, does it tell you the address of the customer before you accept the batch? Or how far you’ll have to drive before you accept the batch? Thanks!!

    • @DylanOwens1

      Kaylee M it will show you the address after you accept but you can see total miles from store to drop off before you accept

    • @DylanOwens1
      @DylanOwens1  4 роки тому

      Liz Leamon well when you look at the batch screen it will say “1 full service order” or “2 full service orders” or “3 full service orders” “ or delivery only” and that’s how you get them

    The App lets the customer know where you are, and your ETA, for instance I very DUMBly took a 3 person order on my first day, and was quite late, and the lady on order C kept messaging me that the ETA delivery time kept changing because I was slow, it was also peak time at the grocery store in the evening, and traffic was bad, all around a BAD decision to take 3 orders, but I did find the app lets them know your ETA, so messaging them is redundant.

    • @DylanOwens1
      @DylanOwens1  4 роки тому

      darylsig36 yeah big mistake on the 3 orders lol yeah it may be redundant but I like adding a personal touch to it helps with customer relation with you

    How do you decide to drop off A and B in your order, your time... if you are required to take pictures of the delivery through the app 70 percent of the time. Seriously!?!

    • @ItsRilez
      @ItsRilez 3 роки тому

      I go in order. Don’t need any bad ratings or issues. DoorDash I might change the order of the drop off but it allows you to switch. Plus some people pay for priority to have it done by a certain time
