So sad, he was mugged in 2018 and almost killed. They broke his jaw and kicked his head in. Deal did not go through, Peter Jones pulled out, but he opened a BBQ restaurant in London. It is still open and has gotten great reviews. Happy to see Joe make it!
That’s wild, glad he’s doing ok
Did he get assaulted in LONDON???
@Wish you was hear why you asking?
@@tattoodrdoke why are you asking?
@Sam why are you asking, why I am asking?
damn he was awesome
Is this the first person in the den to say I have a letter of intent and actually has a letter of intent?
I like the slower editing in these older episodes. It shows the intensity and weight of the decisions that are being made
I felt the same but then realized they can decide to pull out after filming so it's not that intense haha
@@stefan98TH It was expected though that either of the side can pull out. There's still a lot of due diligence you need to do that you can't do in an hour of pitch. Go through their books, check their actual numbers, meet the other major shareholders if any, the structure of the company etc.
Finally a pitch I’ve never seen
I love everything about this guy and how casual he is. Bringing that letter of intent out of his pocket, folded into 4 pieces was epic - and also shows the state he's in. You can have confidence in the sincerity of this guy, one of the best characters I've seen in the den.
Absolutely agree he nearly got killed in 2018 he was assaulted another commentor said..
@@ORDEROFTHEKNIGHTSTEMPLAR13 oh wow, hope he got the best out of the worst situation
He did a great job representing Texas
I thought he was drunk.
@@ORDEROFTHEKNIGHTSTEMPLAR13 loose lips sink ships. You've just found that out and already spreading it, yet no confirmation if its true.
Why the need for gossip and rumours? Spreading other people's business
5 dragons who could not even smile or applaud the performance that equals pretentious snobs - no surprise here
Kelly Hoopen making an offer? Can't believe this!
Maybe because it was for only 37k
@@Asif-kh-n9r yeah and she still would've had to dip into her overdraft
Was the best offer too, not sure why no one mentioned that.
His wee giggle is the cutest 😂
Reminded me of the guy from boardwalk empire
Peter’s deal was worse. “Tex” originally asked for the equivalent of 2,343.75 per 1%, But Peter’s offer was only worth 2,083.33 per 1% of equity. Peter actually undercut Kelly by 12%.
If his deal was worse that would be the opposite of undercutting, instead making a worse offer. Although it's true, Peter offered only 33% more cash and took 50% more equity, which also means Brewdog take a large share, but who in the right mind would choose to work with Kelly over Peter?
No applause after the song. Come on now.👏🏼👏🏼
So, Peter offers him an amazing deal, but then pulls out after the cameras stop rolling. Shame.
Do we know why?
@@Vix2066 I just looked into it and there wasn't a given reason why the deal fell through, only that the deal was cancelled 3 days before it was to be finalized. Peter wasn't even in the conference call and it was his assistants that broke the news
@@SlamdalfTheGrey i read the same..peter never contacted him after filming..i like peter jones on this show but its poor form to cut him off like that
@@MrTibbs12 agreed 100%!
This happens all the time with the deals. It’s usually the dragons lawyers who deal with everything behind the scenes. Been watching this show for 14 years and hardly any of the deals close.
How rude, they clap at the utter most bollox usually, well actually always and yet something quite catchy and cool like this, nothing.
not a single clap 😅😅😅🤣🤣 all that effort eh
respect joe, a cool calm cowboy, genuine and upfront, a rarity, i wish him all the best
Courteous
I’m from Texas and I adore his Nudie suit and gambler style Stetson. Any Texan who makes jerky, has my vote ❤
1:18 spiritless dragons. That little harmony was worth a slight applause at least.
Theyre british, not human
@@music2872 Oi, I'm British and human. The "Dragon's Den" people are just moody
Especially Deborah. She’s only interested when she’s the centre of attention.
I agree. But then, that's the very definition of the British "stiff upper lip". Still, to me, better than the juvenile rowdiness of Shark Tank US IMHO
that was brutal how none of the dragons clapped when they finished the song!!!
Been hoping to see this one uploaded for a long time - such a memorable pitch. I had the opportunity to try some of his product a few years ago, very nice indeed.
The guy is hilarious 😃
Apparently Peter just ghosted him after the show and he never heard from him again
The deal didn’t go through with Peter jones after all . Last minute decision off air apparently
What a great character and a great deal too !!
Never went through Peter pulled out..
The dragons typically talk up themselves, their value AND the level of work required to grow the company. History is littered with rejected deals that went on to make huge money without their help
The publicity surelr helps?
What's with those random smiles?
Why not get a prepaid order for 13% discount? It sounds like he's offered a large order not an investment?
Bro dressed like a batman villain
This guy was in "the greasy strangler", a really messed up but fun comedy, I knew I had seen him somewhere.
Oink oink.
Had this guy pitched in the US shark tank, they would have partied with him right away. Not sure why Brit Sharks are dealing like assassinators who are approached by Clients.
They're DRAGONS not sharks get your facts straight bozo
😂That intro tho... I blame Mr Levi Roots😂
Joe's nervous smiling is so endearing...
No applause for the band???
The few pitches where singing is done right and ain’t cringe. What a legend.
In hindsight wish he selected anyone other than Peter.
Seemed an alright choice at the time… but in the long run no Dragon was the best Dragon
Awesome dude. Looks like he's doing too much Quality Control at Brewdog though
I met Texas Joe Walters before and he is a really nice guy. It was at one of his restaurants.
That was a great one. How can you not love a character like that man.
Im the first comment but still looking for comments on how the business has done since the show 🤣
Seems things didn't go to plan. What a shame.😒
@Michael Terrell 👀
Went well. Still going!
@@TXJoes Great to hear my friend! All the best going forward
The “yee haw” at the end was priceless. Love it.
I'm reminded of George Melly??? Anyone?
I'd rather not tbh... But yes.
What a nice guy man
Great tactics by Peter Jones, he was always going to make an offer but he pretended to think about it and his comment about needing to go talk to the wall makes the cowboy want him more 👏🏻
... and then he pulled out...
"Put that jerky in your mouth" 🤣🤣
13:46 It's not the best offer he's got. Kelly's is better.
Oh I like this guy. That's how you deliver a pitch
Shame Peter pulled out of the deal after the show, the guy still made a deal with Sainsbury's though and had a lot of other ideas. One of Peters Aides informed Joe the deal was off the table 3 days before finalisation.
Dang. Bit rough
Sounds like pizza jones isnt a nice person
Who is Peters Aides?
I know it's probably a great product, but I am BEGGING people to stop doing cringe performances before a pitch!
Wow, ice cool during the negotiation.
Kelly Hoppin was born in South Africa? Wow... You go fellow Saffa girl!
Blanca kaffa
What a likable and down-to-earth guy! Also impressed that he knows our South African biltong.
It was in her price range.
"Put a jerky in your mouth?!" 😳 I'm sure I clicked on the Dragons' Den channel 😜
🤣🤣🤣
What a cool bloke! I hope he does well.
Man's got the joker laugh
When you watch and listen to Peter, you’ll learn quickly how to deal. He always starts high and then works down, so he’s always closest to his druthers. It’s the art of the deal. Always brilliant. Dragons Den IS Peter Jones.
There was once a dragon named Jenny who never invested a penny
She never spent nowt
Was always out
And now she's no longer about
Nothing comes near South African Biltong
That's because nobody wants to come near South Africa. Have you noticed that most of the successful people from there have left? Lmao
@@ImARealHumanPerson LMFAO How true!!
I got put off it by watching two fellas in London ripping it apart with their teeth and sharing it out! Bit primitive for me. 😂
Authentic Texan
I like jerky pork Eastern Europe tradition,my family make smoked meat.
My grandparents also did .
Refreshing to see a letter of intent actually being a letter of intent lol
What a lovely guy! Shame Peter pulled out after the show!
Hahaha, what a great entry, that was excellent. Nice guy sure hope he made it
He didn't.
@@ohishehHe did, just not with Peter.
I thought Kelly gave him the best offer, just saying.
dude is chilled
This is the best request and offer I have seen in any den program aired, shame about the outcome in both instances, I e. his mugging and Peter pulling out of the deal.
Don’t worry I ended up alright.
They were really impressed with the cringy song.
Thats how you do a deal in style
Wow- Kelly was nice!!! And made a offer!!
The only challenge Peter couldn't handle lol
The dragons are bare greedy
This man is an absolute CHAD!!
Please release some old episodes with Duncan and Richard, they were the best.
Richard Farley was too much of a pretty boy....didn't invest much. He had no real personality ...;-/
@@JazzyMarineVet Totally disagree, He invested a'lot, saw potential in plenty of businesses the other dragons didn't, he got a good amount of profit from his investments on dragons den, also he was a good laugh and a great vibe.
@@JazzyMarineVet Richard was polite(that might be what you’re getting at) but he didn’t mind speaking up & could hold his own. A genuine guy with lustrous hair
Hello from the seychelles
Peter shook his hand… but never saw him again. His team of minions cancelled the deal on Joe over a conference call three days before it was to be finalised.
Joe opened a restaurant in London and is still making his jerky.
Looks like Peter was being a jerk-y.
This is a very professional pitch, good on him.
Who is out?
What a g
That guy will forever have a friend in me.
Well Howdy friend!
Musical intros are so cringy
every time he says someone will show their hand I think of them displaying their hands
Is that Jonny 3 hats ?
Am I the only annoyed with the camera people constantly zooming on Deborah and her hands/fingers/nails
⭐🌟 Suggestion for the producers of this show, can you do follow up videos on how things are going 3, 6, or 12 months after the deal was done? 🌟 ⭐
Loved this whole video. 💯
Stop showing Debra's fingers itz very annoying and she's very annoying 😅😅
excelent pitch one of the best i've ever seen in dragons' den
Nothing beats biltong!!!
2:25 Wants to show England proper authentic jerky, signs up with a Scottish brewery, welcome to the United Kingsom of England!!
Yeah, a lot of Americans use United Kingdom, Britain and England interchangeably.
Just can’t beat the originality of Levi Roots’ entrance to the Den. “Reggae Reggae saaaas”
Let's not forget Brewdog didn't hold the credibility it does today. Clearly a great entrepreneur could see the same vision in another.
Kitty Daisy and Lewis are fantastic. Check them out on here.
Great guy! :)
Just strolling in with Kitty, Daisy, and Lewis is so epic!! I'm stunned no one made a bigger deal of it honestly. Could you imagine if any other entrepeneur tried such a thing? "Hi I'm here to pitch this new shower head, by the way here's Weezer"
They were very kind to assist.. they are family.
@@TXJoes That's so cool bro, what a perfect assist. I always loved their sound and you sounded great on top of it.
No deal in the end, peter jones changed his mind after.
Larry from 3 Stooges Great Grandson!
Who's being unusually quiet today? Me.
Lovely ending 🤙🎶✨️
Jimmy pop CKY
Didn't Brew Dog try in the Den?
Is this the one where Evan says something really obvious?
What a great guy! :D
Joe is pretty chill, too chill. Whatever he is having I will too !! Sharing is caring.
