He explained very clearly why he was investing and yes, he doesnt think itle be because of this product, he invested purely in the guy and what that guy will bring in the future because he believes he will become very successful, just not with this product, but he invested in the guy for a shot at this but more so for the future and other products

The reason his business failed was his price was too low. No way would I ever buy beans at less than £5 a tin.

£3.95? Ouch! I'm not sure the chilled route is correct for this product, it needs to be ambient, in a tin, with a very long best before date, and MUCH cheaper.

I don't often get it right but I remember seeing this pitch and not understanding why dragons were intrigued by it. It seemed like a very premium and niche product; I don't know how it could have been anything else.
Must have been some really good beans.
When peter shows interest first, most others do. After seeing every single episode thus far - this is the pattern. The richest man says its good first? they all follow.

No Dragon picked up on the limited shelf-life of the product....
£3.95 a tin of beans 50p no way would I spend nearly £4.00 for a small tub of beans.
This is what I don't get or maybe it's my mentality. I'm not going to spend £3.50 on beans for dinner when I get to add on other items. I could go to McDonald's to be more fulfilled than spending money on this.

Beans come in a tin, they are cheap, have an amazing shelf life, taste great and are very nutritious. This product is none of those things. Very strange that the dragons were so interested!

Sometimes things do not need to change and are fine just the way they have been since the war.
Some brands are fine but Heinz is not one of them.

This is an older DD. I don't know how old, but I can't see spending 4 quid on a bowl of beans even today.

How? How did they determine he is good? The only evidence is his sales which are abysmal. They have chewed up other candidates in the past for such projections but this guy seems to have put a spell on them, especially Debbie.
We only see 10 minutes out of an hour long pitch.

If they haven’t changed since the war it’s cos they’re amazing. Having said that I would definitely have wanted to try them! Seems a really nice guy hope he found his niche.
Apparently it went bust in 2017.
No idea why they all was so excited for that deal. Was just beans and they was all desperate they even was dropping half initial offers. This guy smitten them all because anyone else offering the same wouldn’t of got that response. And proof is in the pudding and never seen this product ever

Standard beans are never going to TOUCH the store brands, not today. One of the reasons is it's just labeling and not a different product. You have no chance of getting a flavored bean on the shelves. You can't touch Bush's or Glory in the US.

I make my own flavoured beans. I used tinned, and then add whatever I want. Chilli, fresh garlic, Worcester sauce. It works great and doesn’t cost 3 quid. More like 50p
I think his USP is that it doesn't cost you the time and effort.

Its funny when the dragons lose, they say "its over a tiny" 5% or dont lose it just for a tiney weeney 5%. However When somebody asks for 5% more its massive to them, they have even stated in other episodes that they have had blazing business arguments over 1% in deals.
