    Lyrics
    Help me
How would you gon' do love this way?
I work so hard for you everyday
While you out late night do what you do
    Chillin' with-who? -
    While I'm sitting at home
    Come on with it!
(I don't know what this world is coming to...)
I just can't rely on you
I just can't rely on you
Yeah, you got that good stuff but that don't last (no way)
So I just can't rely on you
    Oh, Lord
How am I to ever explain
How my melted heart went right down the drain?
'Cause if you don't want me
    (Release)
    Repeat
    (Believe)
    Want some
    (Want some)
    Take me
He will take me right out your way
    Come on with it!
(I don't know what this world is coming to...)
I just can't rely on you
I just can't rely on you
Yeah, you got that good stuff but that don't last (no way)
So I just can't rely on you
    Gonna go
    Really
You can say what you want
    But I'm out that door
    Can't stop me
    Oh, my man
    Oh, Lord
(I don't know what this world is coming to...)
I just can't rely on you
I just can't rely on you
Yeah, you got that good stuff but that don't last (no way)
So I just can't rely on you
Just telling it like it is
    Wait a minute
    Wait a minute
    Change your ways
    Don't I deserve it babe
    Look at here
'Cause that's why you drive me out of my mind
I just can't rely on you
I just can't rely on you
Yeah, you got that good stuff but that don't last (no way)
Ain't good enough for me, baby
    Oh, baby
    [Fading:]
I don't know what this world is coming to...

I know everyone is entitled to their opinion but I am not a punch bag. I am really proud of this music and this song and the video so if you don't like it please go quietly back to what you would rather hear as opposed to slaying me and what I have been working hard to do. When you hear the acoustic version of this, you will eat your words. Make sure you add salt!!!! YUM YUM YUM xxxx thank you to those of you who have said kind things and supported me. The album itself has something for everyone, old and new. I am bloody excited!!!!

And I've never understood those people who say: I want the old XY back. I don't like the new XY, I want the bla bla bla era back. I mean I know that you, as a musician in the corporate music industry, are a brand but most importantly you're an individual and you're entitled to do whatever you wanna do. If someone doesn't like it, they can go and make their own music and videos to satisfy themselves.

FABULOUS Paloma ... and CONGRATS! I loved it, but know exactly what you're speaking of ... which is why comments for GEISHA-MANIA! were disabled. Haters will be haters, and they're usually gutless people with zero capability of making their own dreams come true. With nothing better going on in their own lives, why not mock those that do?
I appreciate the work that goes into producing music videos -- I've been there. And while preparing to record two new upcoming singles and producing their respective videos, I can't care what anyone thinks.
As Marilyn Monroe said, "It's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring." Well, I, for one, have no intention of stopping. Best of luck, xo

Hurray! Good for you Paloma....I love that you speak your mind ;-). You work your butt off and produce some really good quirky and original songs. Your followers will follow you and the haters will go to hell (oops!) everyone Is entitled to an opinion, but I do not know why it is necessary for them to 'attack' instead of just accepting artistic differences. Focus on the positives honey. Go with your gut and if it feels right for you...keep with it. xxx much love Paula - Amazing Faith x

Dear God, there are no words in English or probably any other language to express to you, Paloma, just how much your music has helped me therapeutical throughput the last year and a half.
Your writing is just so deeply deeply human in every imaginable way, and at the same time your voice and the. Intonations and expressions of intent within them speak of an otherworldly woman that subconsciously, or maybe consciously, understands the far greater picture that we are all living in and experiencing “

Dear Ms. Faith: I see that this video was posted quite some time back, but until a short while ago I was unfamiliar with your work. And then this evening I happened to see your performance in a clip from an old episode of The Graham Norton Show and I was utterly delighted. I thought, "Who is this slip of a girl who sings with the power of an Aretha Franklin?" and that led me to learn a bit about you and then to here. I must say, your choices in material truly highlight your astounding talent, and I look forward to both catching up with your backlist as well as watching for your new releases. Best wishes, Victor H (USA)

    Non preoccuparti
Amare significa perdere e perdere e' amare
    Il tuo spazio verra' tiempito

It's quite strange to see how many people marginalize Paloma's talents as a musician due to the way she chooses to present herself as a performer. In actuality she's one of the few entertainers that can convey her avant-garde persona effectively. Her body of work consistently follows the notion that a performer conveys vulnerability through a staged fantasy to give her audience a sense of escapism from reality.
It's unfortunate that because she does not follow normative ideals of sex appeal she is considered a "creep" by some. She's absolutely breathtaking to me. A rare bird. Individuals like Paloma pose the question, "how close are we to being ourselves?"

    Can't rely on you - Paloma Faith…
What a mature artist. She can really blast out some notes, the soundtrack she made with Pharelle Williams is incredible, which also complimented her vocals well, and she's probably one of Britian's greatest singers to date. But why aren't people listening to her and her sensational vocals?

Jordan Schlansky Dude apologized shortly after for calling him out on a simple guitar riff. He didn’t even discover anything, a Twitter user told him to check it out which is the sad part.
Musicians would be better off embracing the sample process instead of whining. So many artists from the 60s-90s are relevant today because of sampling. If Alex Kapranos was smart, he would have taken this opportunity to collaborate with Pharrell and expand his audience.
Dig through some crates and you’ll see it’s an art form of its own.

Congratulations for the Italian language part, Ms. Faith! Came as a surprise for me (especially the Rs...my British partner did not get nearly as good after practicing for two years).
Needless to say, I love your voice and your music. Keep up the good work!

It doesn't sound too similar to blurred lines, but there is a percussion line that Pharrell uses in most of his songs, even going back to the Neptunes when he produced Hollaback Girl. If you listen closely you'll hear it

    • @Emjayteaparty
      @Emjayteaparty 10 років тому

yeah but i dont think of pharrell,to be honest am here for paloma faith and you can say that about a lot of music then, its used everyone gets ideas from everyone,am here for paloma not Pharrell

    • @L_I_A_M_K
      @L_I_A_M_K 10 років тому

Paloma....your voice is beautiful, your look is CLASSY, and Artistic, and your sound is AWESOME! The beauty of this world is that, no one can make you feel inferior without your consent. Don't let them take your power. Negative people just HATE to see other people SUCCEED. They enjoy being BULLIES. BOOOOOO to all the negative people and all the bullies. Stop being so jealous. Like Paloma stated, Go do something more constructive. Because with every negative comment you bullies create war, and destruction. So get a life. Because Paloma is on FIRE!
