So, here's what I think about your thoughts. I'm sorry, but I think that you've just been unlucky so far, you haven't sincerely fallen in love with anyone yet, and no one has sincerely fallen in love with you either, because love for your money cannot be considered love for you. But trust me, someday it will definitely happen and it will completely change your life. I think you will definitely perceive LP's songs differently. I must warn you, true love is not always reciprocated, but even when it is not reciprocated, it completely changes you and your life for the better.
I am 27, and in my life sincerely and truly I have only been in love twice (once with a guy, another time with a girl) and, ironically, both times are not mutual. And despite the fact that both times my feeling was not mutual, I was able to understand three things:
the first - that same extraordinary love, described in books, films and songs, all the same exists. OMG, Who would have thought! Lol))
second, love is the only cure for human selfishness. I am by nature a very selfish and self-centered person, and only when I am in love, I put the interests of this person above my own and, oddly enough, enjoy it. Only when I am in love, it becomes more pleasant for me to give than to take. And this is probably the most striking and amazing thing about love.
and third, it is true that when you truly love a person, you will let him/her go because the happiness of this person becomes much more important for you than your own.
And of course, true love has nothing to do with lust, or playing for power and finding out who is more important than anyone, which of us is dominant, as well as using another person as a means to amuse one's own vanity or replenish one's bank account.
And I am 100% sure that someday you will experience for someone the very true love that books and songs are dedicated to, and you will understand everything yourself.
And my advice to you is not to start a relationship if you are not head over heels in love. In my opinion, one-time sex without commitment or old good masturbation is much better than a relationship without love. In any case, such relationships do not lead to anything good and do not bring anything but unnecessary pain to all participants in such relationships.
So good luck dude, and I sincerely wish you someday experience that same true love, like in books and films. And I really hope that it will be mutual, long and happy for you.

I felt in my soul only endless emptiness and coldness, I was sure that, in principle, I was no longer able to love anyone and anything, I was sure that I would never again be able to experience this feeling. But everything changed when I started listening to LP's songs, they revived this already extinct feeling in my soul and gave me hope. And I realized that true love never dies, it continues to live in your memories and in addition to this, it completely changes you as a person, therefore it completely changes your entire subsequent life, so yes, love lives forever despite the fact that the relationship ended a long time ago, and oddly enouth even despite the difficult breakup that love still continues to warm my soul. I was able to understand all this only thanks to LP's songs, they were for me something like a course of psychotherapy, so I will always be grateful to her for that.
