  • Vegan Mozzarella Cheese using Agar-Agar Powder | Soy, Nut & Gluten-Free
    As some of you have requested a cheese recipe using agar-agar powder instead of kappa carrageenan, here's our basic plant-based, soy, nut & gluten-free mozzarella cheese recipe. This is sliceable, meltable & grateable. Hope you like it! 🙂
    Ingredients:
    85 g | 1 cup cauliflower, cut into medium florets
    32 g | ¼ cup tapioca starch
    60 ml | ¼ cup water
    14 g | 2 Tbsp nutritional yeast flakes, or to taste
    15 ml 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice, or to taste
    30 g | 2 Tbsp neutral-tasting oil (canola or grapeseed)
    1½ tsp kosher salt, or to taste
    ½ tsp garlic powder, or to taste
    1-2 tsp brine pickled olives (optional)
    Agar-agar mixture:
    240 g | 1 cup water
    25 g | 3 Tbsp agar-agar powder

    I love these soy & nut-free cheese recipes! I don't have a problem with soy, just nuts & dairy. There are so many cheeses I would like to try, but so many vegan recipes are heavy on nuts. I hope you guys experiment with other cheese types/flavors as well.
    Also, I know someone with a soy AND nut allergy, on top of a dairy allergy. I'd love for them to be able to try different homemade cheeses that they otherwise wouldn't be able to eat either.

    So have made two of your sausage recipes (Amazing!) and the two cheeses from the video before.
    I only liked the cheddar one. The morzarella one has a strange taste to me, is it becuase of the kappa carrageenan?
    I will try this Variation soon, so I can see for myself!
    But I really like your recipes!! So easy to make!
