He doesn't mention it in the video, but the description says it is sponsored by the manufacturer of the device. So it's basically an ad.
He really should say in the video that it's sponsored. Isn't that against advertising rules?
It’s very clear in description where youd click for the link
It also has a pop up when you start the video that says "Includes Paid Promotion".
There's a saying:
"A disclaimer that can be missed is no disclaimer at all."
It was obvious.
I tried one of these xreal glasses before, but the FOV is so narrow that it actually was painful to use. You'd have to pay me to watch movies on that.
Please make it clearer at the start of videos if we are going to just see an advert.
It literally says it as a popup in the beginning.
@@andyb9664No such popup for me.
🔥🔥No verbal admission of sponsorship🔥🔥 Naughty naughty, Vinny baby😂
someone has to pay for the first call ticket 🤣
someone has to pay for the first class ticket - sorry for the typo...
@@heino169you know it’s possible to edit comments right?
Please, can you test the Apple Vision Pro and give your thoughts about the image quality?
I would love to know if the motion blur is because of high persistence on the micro oled. Or some black smear, or both due to black frame insertion. Any chance of a collaboration with you and @mrtv ?
This is sponsored ad
As much as I love Vincent and this channel, trust me, this isn't the first ad- masquerading- as review that's been on this channel.
@@rudypujenkins6890 I don’t mind ads when it’s clearly an ad. A ad review can’t be trusted
Wow really? Didn't notice this was an ad 😱 ...
Btw if you've watched Vince long enough, you should know, this dude won't promote a product, that he himself doesn't find good.
@@stevemuzak8526 and the reviewer loses credibility. I'm just thinking now how many of his reviews I might have seen till date where i didn't get to notice it was paid promotion
It's listed in the description.
Can you do a comparison of phone hdr in apps regarding brightness and tone mapping?
Hi can you do a video review of this model kuycon monitor with full alternative choice on kuycon g34w vs kuycon P40U so you know if it's worth buying their monitor
Hello, I wanted your advice, I'm looking for a 43" tv that is good for gaming and also for streaming, and I saw a Philips 43pus8808 is it good or can I find better? Budget 500-600€
Thanks in advance🙏☺️
What are your taughts on Apple Vision Pro
Vincent recent bought the 65 inch s95c but noticed I high pitched sound like mosquito sound when turnd on, have any idea what causes the issue? Has anyone have the same problem?
Since when do you do full-on Ads?? surprising you didn't mention it was a promotion from XReal in the video
The popup says it, the description says it, it is obvious after 30 secs into the video. And Vince would never promote a product that he himself doesn't think it's good.
Cool tech!
Subbed & Liked! Enjoyed the video! Good work & God bless in 2024!
Vicent Please help me! Sony a95k or s95c samsung? the price is the same plisss
Vince talk about the 3700 nit oled you saw!
I've got a pair of the Air's. It's a common sense extension of your cell phone. Plug in and depending on the distance you're standing, you've got a 120 inch screen for your content or games.
If I always use DTM, do I need to calibrate PS5 for 4000 nits or leave 1,500 nits for my PS5 ?
With dtm just recalibrate hdr how it tells u to, pretty sure
vincent and his innovation lol!!!
Bought a pair a month ago! I'm really enjoying it, watching movies on it is awesome
transparent oled are going to be wild in the AR world, no more reflected screens with mirrors.
I tried them all; the xreal are great, but since I spend 80% of my media time in glasses, and 90% of that either at home or a room elsewhere; I’m using the Goovis g3 max 1440p 65 fov instead. It’s bulkier, but also much better quality and no reflection issue (white on black background duplication)
I also ordered the Visor 4k founder edition :)
I do miss hdr/dolby vision, but the convenience and scale makes up for it.
that video thumbnail😂
"Pixel level light control allows for ...vibrant colors" 🤔Sus.
I bought a cheap OLED portable screen that, while not HDR, is quite pretty. That works well enough for me, though I see the appeal of glasses specifically on airplanes.
Which one?
@@johnsaunders6510 Brand name is INNOCN, it's 13.3". It's under $200 (right now it looks like it's $180 but I got it on sale for $150). Realistically I probably didn't need it particularly since I already have a portable monitor but for videos while I'm on my laptop it works. Definitely cheaper than the glasses Vincent is using, but still more awkward on a plane.
Advertising does not have to be marked?
otherwise you will be liable to prosecution.
That thumbnail is begging for a “Deal With It” caption
Apple Vision pro will certainly change your mind. Anything less than that is not worth it in AR/VR space. I hope you have pre ordered for a review.
Question about the Sony A95L.
I bought a 65 inch Sony A95L on Black Friday, and have mostly loved it. The only thing is the black levels look a little gray, or raised as it’s referred to as, but not as much as I was expecting. I was expecting this because of no polarizing layer, but it still has bothered me a little, so I bought a 65 inch LG G3 to compare to the Sony A95L side by side. The LG looks the same as far as black levels go, it looks a little gray, not more inky than the Sony A95L like I was expecting.
Does the Sony A95L actually have a polarizing layer unlike the Sony A95K? Or does the LG G3 not have a polarizing layer? Also, why do they not put polarizing layers in QD-OLED TVs?
Also, so far I’ve liked everything about the 65 inch Sony A95L better than the 65 inch LG G3.
The MLA tech on the G3 reduces the effectiveness of the polarizer at lowering reflected ambient light somewhat.
Conventionally, OLED has a circular polarizer on top and the bottom OLED layer is very reflective. Inbound ambient light is cut 50%, reflected (inverting the polarization handedness), and then the remaining 50% is fully cut by the same layer before it comes back out. Only the topmost glass ends up particularly reflective, which mostly affects off-axis viewing due to the Fresnel effect. However, outbound light from the OLED is also cut 50% which is a major efficiency loss. The micro lenses tweak the light angles a bit, reducing how well the polarizer works slightly, but they reduce wasted light from internal reflections and improve both brightness and viewing angles in exchange.
OD-OLED doesn't use a polarizer at all and relies on a smaller pixel aperture and the bandpass effect of the QD+scattering layer to limit reflectivity. It's reasonably good, but not as effective as circular polarization over a mirror with a lot of ambient light around. The lack of polarization filters does result in an efficiency boost, but fundamentally polarization isn't useful in QD-OLED. Quantum dots depolarize light and would make a circular polarizer function as no more than a 50% neutral density filter (aka very mild window tint), while opposed linear polarizer pairs are only useful with an LCD in between to selectively twist the polarization angle. Otherwise, they'll just block everything.
Best you'll find in OLED for deep contrast in a bright room is probably a G2, A90J, G3 83", or similar premium non-MLA model, but practically a good LCD may be a stronger choice instead. Blooming is difficult to notice when the room is bright, and since a bright room means director's intent is already out the window, there are some absolute light cannons that can raise the picture level and combat the brightest rooms easily while still looking pretty decent at night too. G3-budget LCDs are still LCDs, but formidable in their own right.
Just bought a second hand in perfect condition Lg 55E6V oled TVfor 400 euros. 4KHDR, Dolby vision and the best 3D in the world. My best buy for years !!
With transparent OLED displays becoming a thing, it's mildly ironic we're not using LCD to black out the backs. It's a cool full circle for the display tech.
Black out as in electrochromic does? Or how? Cuz one just uses simple voltage to block light while other will need a hq manufacturing. And I don't think they can be transparent
@@arnabbiswasalsodeep Uh not sure what you're talking about. I just mean that LCD can be used to black out transparent displays the same way they're used to make dark digits on a Casio wrist watch. It's just polarized light between two glass plates.
Can’t wait for you to review the Vision Pro. I have these, there great but I reckon it would be no match at all for the Vision Pro.
I was just wondering if you would be willing to do a picture settings video for the lgc3 for the best settings for ps5 xbox series x I really need your expertise good sir I feel like some of the settings for the c3 are different than they were for the c1 because certain games on my c3 don't look anywhere near as good as they did on my c1 with the same settings from your original videos
Dude flies 1st class, millionaire lifestyle 😅
So we can pitch tents in planes now.
I LOVE my pair of Air 2 pros. Truly a game changer for me for flights or train rides or anywhere I have to wait a long time
Hello, the author and understanding people, please tell me whether it is worth turning on the Dynamic Tone Mapping function on LG C3 for more correct calibration, I can not decide on this function in any way. (In HDR mode)
I guess those toilet breaks at the workplace will get longer
Just found this channel recently. Was very impressed by the thoroughness in tv reviews. Extremely disappointed to see this paid promotion masquerading as a review. Many countries have advertising disclosure guidelines that this video does not meet. I just saw another video from a year ago which was ostensibly about color accuracy, but was actually an ad for Panasonic with similarly lacking disclosure. So this behavior has been happening for at least a year.
CLEAR AND OBVIOUS DISCLOSURE, BEFORE THE AD BEGINS, IS NOT HARD. The one inserted by UA-cam does not appear on all platforms (I do not see it on my iPad) and is easy to miss. The presenter should state, clearly, out loud, at the beginning of the video, that we are watching an advertisement. This is not a “nice-to-have”, this is the law in many countries, including the UK I believe.
Do better, Vincent! You’re my new favorite channel to nerd out about displays with!
@PumatSol: Thanks for your feedback. However, as clearly stated in the UA-cam description, the "Includes Paid Promotion" message when you start playing the video refers to the sponsorship by XReal. By marking the video as "Includes Paid Promotion", and also disclosing it in the UA-cam description, we have complied with UK advertising laws.
@@hdtvtest just in the description is not enough, as the vast (VAST VAST) majority of viewers do not expand the description, and the built in UA-cam pop up does not appear in all contexts, such as many tablets and televisions. This pop up is also not a substitute for proper disclosure of what the video is actually promoting, and when in the video the promotion is occurring. Clear and obvious audio and visual indication is needed to ensure viewers are not misled. You should desire for your viewers to not be misled.
I think the many comments on this video expressing similar confusion/frustration with the poor disclosure should be an indicator that you haven’t done enough here.
For reference please research the UA-cam Oreo scandal from a few years ago to understand the poor track record UA-cam has had with advertising disclosure that has led to the current standard of “clear and obvious audio and visual indication” that is expected from reputable creators.
I want to say for the record that you haven’t done the worst job here, but there’s a nasty history here that led to a bit of an explosion and that’s why the standards are stricter than might seem necessary at first. At the end of the day it should be important to not just the viewer, but the creator and the advertiser as well that disclosure is clear and obvious. Nobody should want anyone to be misled about the nature of a promotional message.
i don't buy any "AR Glasses" without room tracking! it's only an stable experience with Lidar/3D Sensor, otherwise it doesn't stay still in one place and it's annoying.
It's for watching movies without a large screen. You don't need AR for that.
That's why XReal sell a valuable accessory alongside it in the name of "XBeam" to partner with these glasses. It adds that tracking feature you are referring to, using gyroscopes which allow 3DoF, even with an HDMI input source like a Switch and many more other features aswell. But you can also just connect the glasses to an Android phone & get an even more immersive experience ! It's truly something you should try before making any judgements
Get the Apple Vision Pro
The real selling point of these glasses is 3d movies. Oled + 3d is amazing. And now there AI based software to transform any 2d source in 3d with really good results.
Oled Tablet/PC can't do 3d, the screen will be smaller, no privacy and they are more expensive. These AR glasses are great value for money
Who needs adblock when you can click on ads yourself.
Wait a few months for the new OLED iPad?
This product is cool, prescription lenses would be a nice addition. Wearing glasses underneath is uncomfortable.
I also used OLED on a plane, I just opened up my folding phone ;)
hello... There are a gazillion oled tablets out there or laptop... This felt a bit more like an ad than your usual videos
Vincent, I'm a long-standing viewer and just wanted to comment that the fact that this video is an advertisement isn't at all clear. Come on, brother! #ad
we dont trut sponsored content
Not sure about guidelines but it'd be better if you mention this was sponsored in the video.
300$ would ne a good price. We need more cheaper AR glasses!
Do Apple Vision Pro!
Tablets have oled... especially Samsung has 12 inch oled tablets
Is this an add? It sounds like one
Or you could just bring a tablet/laptop with oled screen...?
Too small and can't control the amount of ambient light around you.
Can't watch porn without people calling you out
the glasses represents more something like 27 inches and it's more comfotable, but nothing near state of the art. okay, perhaps the Ultra in this formfactor. but it's not enough.
Maybe in 2-3 years we will get some awesome USB/Wifi semi AR Glasses.
I don't think there is an OLED tablet or even laptop which only costs 400 USD. E.g. the Galaxy Tab S9 starts at 700 USD.

Not gonna lie, it's a cool idea, but I have a feeling it will meet the same end as 3D.
Hi Mr Vincent. if you wanted to make a 10M views video, here is what you could do : since a lot and a lot and a lot of people are buying the LG 42 c2 , due to your reviews, you should do a very long long video where to go through ALL THE DIFFERENT SETTINGS of the 42c2 and explain it IN DETAIL one by one, with all that you know on the subject. Since for a lot of us, each setting is very very vague. A full explanation of each of them , once and for all would be the GO TO video when you what to change something on your C2 settings. And people would come five or ten times on this particular video whenever they wanted to change another setting. This video would set a record views on your channel. And the explanations would remain relevant for c3 and other brands since most of them use the LG panel. I know it will be long hard tiring for you , but the reward in the number of views would be at par with your efforts.. Peter, Clermont-Ferrand, France.

There's no opinions in this video. It's just reading a plain sponsor script with no contribution whatsoever from Vincent. At the very least, talk about what you liked or disliked...
true. can't remember last time I wasted time on a yt video
RIGHT! it's like wheres the in-depth look, how does the screen look, heck even the end of it just gave a generic "we plan to release in march 2024" this is the most half assed ad i've ever seen...

Some podcast viewers may be bothered that this video includes a paid endorsement but not me. I feel that Vincent will always give his best whether the product is a paid endorsement or not. I bought a pair of Vessi Stormburst shoes after Vincent mentioned on one podcast sometime ago that he walked around a trade show all day wearing them. And he said that those shoes were most comfortable shoes. I have been raving about my Vessi shoes since I bought them in Aug. 2023.
