When i was a kid playing tools of destruction, i didnt know about fabricating the ryno with the smuggler, so I kept finishing the game with all of the parts, reaching 999hp (still getting one shot in the end game) and still not knowing about the ryno. I was so dumb
I somewhat appreciate that they tried to make it a combination of the RYNO II and the Zodiac, but the first two games' RYNO definitely felt like they had the most impact every time you fired it. That said, I'm glad they went back to basics with RYNO V and VII made it all about pure missile/projectile firing madness!
It seems like everyone is kinda using it wrong. The projectiles that merge still retain their destructive power so against strong enemies is very effective to be in melee range. You can literally one shot nefarious.
@@jakeX412 He was. It was the fully upgraded version of the RY3NO, which is called the Rynociraptor. The first 4 versions of the RY3NO is pretty great actually but once it becomes the Rynociraptor, it kinda sucks because all it does is make a white flash.
RYNO 5 always my favorite. Who doesn’t love mowing down everything with massive amounts of overwhelming, overpowering firepower while listening to the 1812 overture?
The best ‘ryno’ has got to be the harbinger which upgrades into supernova. It just rains hell from above and looks so op. Not to mention how unique it looks compared to the standard high fire rate micro missiles formula from the other ryno. Also the flavour text of the harbinger is perfect, it’s basically Vox’s middle finger to the Ryno which is awesome
+HazzyDevil For sure, the Supernova is easily the most aesthetically pleasing to me. It's like a bunch of ion cannons firing simultaneously laying waste to everything in front of you. Love that weapon.
fuck yeah it is. though i did say above that, feel like the 100+ ammo rynos are a better superweapon, simply because, you're fighting armies most of the time, not 1v1. 13 shots is badass, but then you're gonna have to visit a vendor to restock. whereas the later rynos, not only do you have thousands of shots, admittedly not all one hit kills, but the ammo shows up in crates. you can literally run around with just the later rynos, for the most part. so, they kinda win in that regard, imo. stil, insanely powerful machine gun isn't nearly as awesome as an orbital cannon barrage.
Argonwolfproject is one those awsome looking and expensive weapons but even in my childhood i was disapointed on how little damage and fucking little ammo had

Nothing beats the original R.Y.N.O from R&C1. It might not be the most overpowered but it has the best theme. A weapon that looks like it's made of junk parts held together with bolts that fired kinetic rockets. It had a grit the other super weapons don't have, the rest just look too professional and shiny. Though the Harbinger and R.Y.N.O V felt awesome to use, just lacked the kick the original one had.
In 1, it was a powerful weapon stolen from the blarg (allegedly). The one in Going Commando seemed like a fully developed version of that prototype. After that, yeah, it went downhill.
Yeah I prefer the original RYNO. Just a handful of powerful rockets per shot, instead of the mishmash of particle effects that the more recent editions are.
The 2016 RYNO is like all the past RYNOs combined: It has the origins of the original RYNO. It decimates bosses like the RYNO II. It clears the screen like the RY3NO. It looks like the RYNO IV. It plays the 1812 Overture like the RYNO V. It fires missiles like the RYNO VI Proto Suit. And it ANNIHILATES like the RYNO VII.
I know its technically not a Ryno but THE FREAKING ALPHA DISRUPTOR was just beautiful, the charge up and then the Insane DPS is satisfying AF and just makes it RYNO level tbh.
I just recently got the chance to play the future series after managing to not have it spoiled for me for over a decade. I found the alpha disruptor without much effort in tools of destruction and thought, this isn't going to be that good of a weapon, I got it for free, I honestly assumed it was probably a gadget at first. I then took out one of the t rex monsters in three shots and had a holy shit moment.
I like Ryno II the best. the rockets are also the coolest and sound the best, in my oppinion however the deadlocked variant is really neat as well! I would place that on 2#
For me, rhyno 4 is the best. And R&C Tools of Destruction is the best of all. So many great memories with that game. Countless hours of fun to be had 😍😍
Is it just me or are the games after R&C 1-3 just slowly losing their 'Ratchet and Clankyness'. I haven't played them besides Gladiator and the PS4 version. The later PS3 games look good though
Roy Wardenaar Could you define why they lost their "Ratchet and Clankyness"? I started on the PS3 games ( with the exception of Full Frontal Assault ) and I see them as being more story oriented compared to the older games. Is that why?

+Roy Wardenar If by "losing their Ratchet & Clankyness' you mean platforming and strategizing, than yes. That was lost in R&C2 and onwards when Insomniac decided to add a strafe mechanic and an enemy spawn system that encourages monotonous run and gun style of play.
The Zodiac and V5 Rhyno 3 are by far the *worst* imo, their damage output vs bosses is shockingly bad and it makes it near impossible t see what you're doing. Great for crowd control, horrible for anything with a decent amount of HP. As for best i'm torn between the supernova and Rhyno 5.
i find the RYNO II extremely frustrating, it has a shit load of lock-on but no tracking! if the target is moving, and they only have to be walking, you'll miss almost every shot. my favorite is probably the original R.Y.N.O., it's lock-on and tracking capabilities are incredibly effective, far better than any other weapon in the series... plus i love (for some reason) watching the missiles follow things, it brings me great satisfaction :3 the RYNO V is also a favorite simply because it's _so_ ridiculous that it's hilarious - blasting dudes while simultaneously "blasting" Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture at maximum volume :D

EDIT: 7 missiles for each round= 350 missiles (!!!) +True Lock-On (Track the enemy even if the enemy travels very fast and FOLLOW until hit) +Badass looking design +OP Damage (One missile= One kill [Bosses not included]) +You could get the ammo in ammo crates +Amazing range (You could kill the enemy from other galaxy and even further and beyond...) +Fun to play with +Better then R.Y.N.O. 6 Cons: -VERY EXPENSIVE (In original R&C getting 150000 bolts was very difficult... Or just use the "Blackwater Glitch") R.Y.N.O. II Pros: +Very high rate of fire +The cheapest R.Y.N.O. in the series for ps2 (You could get it in the first run) +AGAIN Badass looking design (Minigun style) +You could get the ammo in ammo crates +Controllable +Fun to play with +Better then R.Y.N.O. 6 Cons: - Damage depends of the size of the enemies (You will not always kill enemy with one missile) - ONLY 100 missiles... not rounds but just missiles (350> 100) - Bad Lock-On (Missiles NOT tracks the enemy... In long range fights the enemy has to be slow as shiet to get hit from the distance... or just not moving) - Range is medium - Missiles are more like a torpedoes (that's why lock-on is bad) - You can easily run out of ammo on harder planets tl;dr I love them both :3

Ya know, I always believe the RYNO II was the best one since it turns the final boss of Going Commando into a "YOU WIN!" situation until I used the RYNO Extreme and did the exact same thing on that hallway and beat Nefarious so easily too, oh how I smiled with glee after that ^_^
Not a RYNO, but the Devastator was always my favourite. The sound it made firing as well as the sound it made coming out. Unreal. And the fact that it was the best and most expensive weapon on the demo disc 🙌🏼

Where the RYNO one is has a special place in my heart, the RYNO 2 is in my opinion the best of all of them. it actually hits the target that the player aims at with a single shot, it's powerful, and it doesn't eat up ammunition. Playing the 2016 Ratchet and Clank Game, I didn't have to experience the future games RYNO's when that was pretty much the same thing as them, i got hit more times because i couldn't see enemy fire while using the RYNO in the 2016 game due to the whole screen being taken up by fireworks. why was that necessary, i thought they were suppose to improve the ryno as the games went on not make it pointless to use.
The Ryno4ever was definitely the most overpowered, and this is more than personal opinion, if you fully upgraded that thing it had so much ammo, an auto lock on every enemy in the room, and could clear the final boss in under 10 seconds, it was legit amazing
RYNO II was a gattling, homing rocket launcher with insane damage. Harbinger has the coolest aesthetic, bur in terms of power and usability, nothing beats the RYNO II

the first RYNO is a fond memories bc never before had I used a weapon of that destructive capability in a video game. But RYNO V & RYNO Extreme my favorites. With the later adding music as you just hold the trigger & everything in your path is obliterated 🤙🏽
The first ryno and the ryno 2 they're both equal being one of my favorite in the Ryno series, my least favorite being the Ryno 3 because of it's upgrades, it went from shooting missiles that can kill anything in 1 hit to a more crappy laser shooter that can kill enemies if they're close or a distance from you and that can be used if there is a lot of enemies surrounding you and the Rynocirator will do little damage to neferious though and I didn't like the ryno 3 for that reason and also Don't like that flash when the Rynocirator is shot because that flash will get me killed and my eyes didn't appreciate it.
RYNO IV is my favorite because it can target your enemies and it does tons of damage. I like the RYNO V from A Crack in time also but I hate how it doesn't target your enemies and it's very hard to use at enemies that are in the air.

The RY3NO in the right hands was unstoppable. Get some direct hits on a boss with it and they're gone in no time.
I know its technically not a Ryno but THE FREAKING ALPHA DISRUPTOR was just beautiful, the charge up and then the Insane DPS is satisfying AF and just makes it RYNO level tbh.
I just recently got the chance to play the future series after managing to not have it spoiled for me for over a decade. I found the alpha disruptor without much effort in tools of destruction and thought, this isn't going to be that good of a weapon, I got it for free, I honestly assumed it was probably a gadget at first. I then took out one of the t rex monsters in three shots and had a holy shit moment.
I like Ryno II the best. the rockets are also the coolest and sound the best, in my oppinion
however the deadlocked variant is really neat as well! I would place that on 2#
For me, rhyno 4 is the best. And R&C Tools of Destruction is the best of all. So many great memories with that game. Countless hours of fun to be had 😍😍

Roy Wardenaar Could you define why they lost their "Ratchet and Clankyness"? I started on the PS3 games ( with the exception of Full Frontal Assault ) and I see them as being more story oriented compared to the older games. Is that why?

+Roy Wardenar If by "losing their Ratchet & Clankyness' you mean platforming and strategizing, than yes. That was lost in R&C2 and onwards when Insomniac decided to add a strafe mechanic and an enemy spawn system that encourages monotonous run and gun style of play.
bloodsoldierZ strafing was a good thing, rac1 is painful to control, if you've played any of the others first it takes time to get used to.
The Zodiac and V5 Rhyno 3 are by far the *worst* imo, their damage output vs bosses is shockingly bad and it makes it near impossible t see what you're doing. Great for crowd control, horrible for anything with a decent amount of HP.
As for best i'm torn between the supernova and Rhyno 5.
If you were using the RY3NO/Zodiac for damage output instead of the Bouncer, I have some news for you...

2 was the most controllable.
i find the RYNO II extremely frustrating, it has a shit load of lock-on but no tracking! if the target is moving, and they only have to be walking, you'll miss almost every shot.
my favorite is probably the original R.Y.N.O., it's lock-on and tracking capabilities are incredibly effective, far better than any other weapon in the series... plus i love (for some reason) watching the missiles follow things, it brings me great satisfaction :3
the RYNO V is also a favorite simply because it's _so_ ridiculous that it's hilarious - blasting dudes while simultaneously "blasting" Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture at maximum volume :D

+Very high rate of fire
+The cheapest R.Y.N.O. in the series for ps2 (You could get it in the first run)
+AGAIN Badass looking design (Minigun style)
+You could get the ammo in ammo crates
+Controllable
+Fun to play with
+Better then R.Y.N.O. 6
Cons:
- Damage depends of the size of the enemies (You will not always kill enemy with one missile)
- ONLY 100 missiles... not rounds but just missiles (350> 100)
- Bad Lock-On (Missiles NOT tracks the enemy... In long range fights the enemy has to be slow as shiet to get hit from the distance... or just not moving)
- Range is medium
- Missiles are more like a torpedoes (that's why lock-on is bad)
- You can easily run out of ammo on harder planets

correction - the R.Y.N.O. has 9 barrels, however it fires 7 missiles per shot (because of PS2 limitations i guess).

Last time I played original R&C was like 2 years ago ;) It so sad that Insomniac (Or what is left from their bright past...) didn't reworked or just bring the same, good old, original R.Y.N.O. with some tweaks, upgrade possibility, and some fresh paint... rather then just copy/paste the R.Y.N.O 4, 5, and 6 and say: "Hey KIDDOS! Look! It's the NEW and IMPROVED powerful R.Y.N.O. for your special snowflake Ratchet! Just like the original! And for old fans, the new R.Y.N.O have all your favorite thing from the old games... You know... OVERPOWERFUL FAKING MINIGUN WITH BIGGER SPREAD THEN A SHOTGUN THAT SHOOTS A ONE RACKET PER 5 SEC THAT DO AIN'T SHIET AND GETING IT IS NOT A BIG ACCOMPLISHMENT WHAT'S SO EVER AND YOU WILL GET TIRED OF IT AFTER 30 MINS OF GAMEPLAY... just like the old times, right? When I saw Ratchet and Clank all for one and R.Y.N.O. 6 I know something is going wrong with Insomniac, like someone is forcing them to make a games, just copy/paste weapons from other games rather then create something new... Like for 10 copy/paste weapons there's only 2 new ones... Where is MY Insomniac from 2000-2012??? Remember the ending cinema scene from R&C 3 and all these characters? I wonder how many side characters they made for the last 3 games... probably less then a half of cinema room form R&C 3... Ok I need to stop ranting and just accept the fact that old Insomniac is gone and they at least making new R&C games... Movie was descent...

Ya know, I always believe the RYNO II was the best one since it turns the final boss of Going Commando into a "YOU WIN!" situation until I used the RYNO Extreme and did the exact same thing on that hallway and beat Nefarious so easily too, oh how I smiled with glee after that ^_^
Not a RYNO, but the Devastator was always my favourite. The sound it made firing as well as the sound it made coming out. Unreal. And the fact that it was the best and most expensive weapon on the demo disc 🙌🏼

Where the RYNO one is has a special place in my heart, the RYNO 2 is in my opinion the best of all of them. it actually hits the target that the player aims at with a single shot, it's powerful, and it doesn't eat up ammunition. Playing the 2016 Ratchet and Clank Game, I didn't have to experience the future games RYNO's when that was pretty much the same thing as them, i got hit more times because i couldn't see enemy fire while using the RYNO in the 2016 game due to the whole screen being taken up by fireworks. why was that necessary, i thought they were suppose to improve the ryno as the games went on not make it pointless to use.
The Ryno4ever was definitely the most overpowered, and this is more than personal opinion, if you fully upgraded that thing it had so much ammo, an auto lock on every enemy in the room, and could clear the final boss in under 10 seconds, it was legit amazing

The first ryno and the ryno 2 they're both equal being one of my favorite in the Ryno series, my least favorite being the Ryno 3 because of it's upgrades, it went from shooting missiles that can kill anything in 1 hit to a more crappy laser shooter that can kill enemies if they're close or a distance from you and that can be used if there is a lot of enemies surrounding you and the Rynocirator will do little damage to neferious though and I didn't like the ryno 3 for that reason and also Don't like that flash when the Rynocirator is shot because that flash will get me killed and my eyes didn't appreciate it.

I have to say, having the RYNO V play classical music as it fires is genius.
RYNO IV is my favorite because it can target your enemies and it does tons of damage. I like the RYNO V from A Crack in time also but I hate how it doesn't target your enemies and it's very hard to use at enemies that are in the air.
The amount of damage the RYNO does to Otto is honestly depressing.
