    why does it look like a misting/fogging machine. Is this good for spraying lawn chemicals and insecticides around my house? Sometimes I have to spray grass-weed killer on larger areas, will this tool be good for that?

    • @IAQJosh
      @IAQJosh  2 місяці тому

      I’m certainly not an expert of the use cases for this sprayer, and others like it. However, I have seen others use these types of sprayers for applying lawn care products.
      I would recommend downloading the user guide for this sprayer and reviewing it.

    You can tell you put a LOT of time and effort into your videos. Very well made, with top notch equipment. Props to the originality and to the fact you're actually, physically reviewing the product, a rare quality to see on these "review" videos. Most simply read Amazon descriptions and call it a reviews video. 👍

      Thank you for the kind words! I definitely don’t want to simply use someone else’s feedback as my own. Not to mention, this video review was super fun to shoot! 😎

    • @brianmilette

      Not entirely. If the electrostatic switch was turned on, it would have easily covered both sides of the objects.

  • @damionedmonds8290
    @damionedmonds8290 3 роки тому +6

    For wrap around effect your supposed to spray over top of objects not only directly at them. I seen it in another review.

    • @johnhubbard6262
      @johnhubbard6262 3 роки тому

      Sorry wrap around is specific terminology relating to the wrap-around effect, spraying down just is more effective at covering more surfaces in a single go. Two different things.

    • @brianmilette
      @brianmilette 2 роки тому

      If the electrostatic switch is turned on, they charged particles attach themselves to both sides of the object without having to spray overhead.

  • @DatsiKxModz
    @DatsiKxModz 2 роки тому +1

    Shouldve done a more thorough slower and overhead spray when trying to test the wrap around gotta think about how many drops are actually coming out and a slower steadier spray like you would to achieve a more thorough coverage would probably have a better effect

    • @IAQJosh
      @IAQJosh  3 роки тому

      Unfortunately, I’m not an expert on electrostatic sprayers models and the varying uses for them. My recommendation would be to look around UA-cam and other online sources for reviews specific to electrostatic spraying for pest control.

      I’m certainly no expert on electrostatic sprayers. With that said, I spoke with a colleague of mine, whom is better suited to answer this question, and he recommended the following: ESS, Dinofog, Bioplanet.

    Hi Josh, Great program. I was wondering if you could you review the IAQ EXTECH VPC 300 particle meter. I am really interested about the different particle scales, what they represent, how are the used and specifically which scale us most useful for detecting mold spore contamination, and what is could be identified with the different scales

    • @IAQJosh
      @IAQJosh  Рік тому

      Hi Alex. Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately, I do not own that Extech meter, nor do I have a need to purchase one. However, if the folks at Extech are ever looking for a third-party review, I’d be happy to put this meter through the ringer! 😎
      As far as best particle sizes to look at when it comes to mold/fungi, PM2.5 and PM10 have been the ideal channels to look for anomalies within an environment that may have mold-impact. With that said, mold spores and fragments can vary in size, so one should not get fixated on one channel over another. I’ve learned from others that it’s best practice to simply look for anomalies in quantities - whether that is much higher concentrations within one area of a property or in comparing channels.
      In general, you should see the highest quantity of particulate within the 0.3 micron range and the least within the 10 micron range. You’ll typically see the 0.5 micron channel be slightly less than the 0.3 channel, the 1 micron slightly less than the 0.5 channel and so on. However, when you see one channel higher than the smaller channel above it, that would often be considered an outlier - prompting further inspection on your part.
      Hope this information helps!

      From my understanding, yes. In fact, many electrostatic sprayers are used for applying pesticides to agriculture, because of its ability to apply thorough coverage.

      I would advise taking a look at the manufacturer information for this device. Here is the link to a page that discusses compatible products.

    You are spraying wrong according to Ryobi Manual. You should spray up so it can rain on products, wrap affect works, not direct spray.

    What you didn't do was spray upwards from the object, so gravity will bring the spray farticles downwards. Duhhhhh
    and the way you spray you can create that air flow to make the chemicals wrap aroudn to the back. Re do your experient, and consider this one YOUR failure
