They’re in No.1 Dress - Dress Blues.
Green hat band - Irish Guards - also have spaced buttons 4 and 4
White Hat Band - ColdStream Guards
Red Hat Band - Grenadier Guards
I like the dress blues and wish they could wear them more often. I didn’t think to look at the button spacing to distinguish the regiments. Thanks
Is this the summer dress?
This is the main ceremonial dress for most of the Army. It's only troops of the Household Division (Foot Guards and Household Cavalry) and military bands that wear No 1 Ceremonial Dress on a regular basis.
@@beateengelhardt8064 No, No 1 Dress is worn throughout the year.
@@beateengelhardt8064
No it’s not
Really fantastic.😊 Perfect in all points.
They are just rehearsing a regular guard change as there has been a bit of a reshuffle of band members with a few new musicians from the regional bands now posted to the Guards bands.
Thanks
The red aprons protect the uniform from the metal polish on the instruments.
Fantastic! Thank You so much.
My name is Elizabeth Elias from Maesteg Bridgend South Wales & I am a channel member who enjoys your downloads. Keep up the good work guys.
Brilliant. Thankyou for filming. Really appreciate it
Good evening, the video is very interesting - thank you for showing it. Greetings from Austria (Lower Austria) 😊
Thanks for watching!
Watching from Bundaberg Queensland,Australia.
I think this is Spring Drills which was a punishment by Queen Victoria (I believe) due to lacklustre marching by the band. The tradition was for I believe for 100 years which has long since passed but carried on as tradition.
I’ve read where the guards on duty were/are subjected to that
@@charlottecunningham2141 I think that's the 4pm parade at Horse Guards (When Queen Victoria arrived at Horse Guards one day and the ones on duty were asleep and or drunk(I think.) There is a segment in the documentary about the Grenadier Guards that followed the band and the Spring Drills were included. Doesn't make sense to practice without actual guards and the amount of drill sergeants in the clip would (hopefully) support my logic.
Red cap band and WIDE red trouser stripe is CAMUS uniform (lyre on the collar front both sides)
It's a "composite band" of musicians from different regiments and, perhaps, corps.
They are in No.1 Dress Blues
Gracias 🙂
Well do from sue in coventry UK. TAKE CARE AND all the best. 😊😊😊😊👍👍
Hi from Ne Zealand. 👏🇳🇿
Can’t see it for rehearsals for trooping the colour as it’s a bit to early, maybe VE Day, which I think is coming sometime in May ?? But depending on the regiments schedules, ??
Hello from Upper-Austria and thank You!
Thank you for watching 👏
This is so cool!
Two sargents with pace sticks and a Captain, not a good day for making mistakes. Rehearsals for changing of the guard?
Im not super versed in the kings guard tradition, but we are approaching VE Day(may 8th) , so perhaps its for that?
Is the building in the background the WELLINGTON BARRACKS?
Yes, its Wellington Barracks!
Blues
There are D-Day celebrations coming up this year in May. They look mainly to be the Irish Guards band with a few Coldstream and Grenadier Guards musicians mixed in, probably to make up the numbers.
They're in 'Blues'
It's the Bands Spring Drills
Rehearsal for the guard mount buck house
What does “Avarage” mean?
no.1 working turnot
The Dress is Blues Order
In your title it's average, not avarage.
No 1 dress, or more commonly known as Blues.
They are dressed in Blues.
Guard mount buck house
I believe that they are wearing blue’s today
Why red, green or white bands in the hats?
Shows what regiment their attached to
Red - Grenadier
White - Coldstream
White and red - Scots
Green - irish
Grey - welsh
Some of the red ones are from the royal corps of army music. You can also recognise them by a thicker red band on the trousers but do not confuse them with the officers.
@@daviddumbraveanu589 Thank you!
thanks for the nice video 👍 greeting from the Dutch Marchingband Channel : muziekkorpsen - marching bands🎵 🎶 🎵
Should say Average Day
getting ready for trooping of the colour
i think its the irish guards trooping there colour this year
@@richardcoombes9491 I don't think it's trooping the colour rehearsal. As you can hear from the commands these are rehearsals for the Changing of the Guard as of the use of "New Guard" and "Old Guard".
@@daviddumbraveanu589 yes i agree but also the ousehold division will be getting ready for trooping of the colour as the guardsman will have a lot of work to do between now and then
Please refrain from talking over music.
Average, that’s how the word is spelt.
Average
It's known as dress blues.
What a mess this is what Happens when you lower standards.
