My First Time In Quebec City + Charlevoix! | Epic Brand Trip With Chevrolet
Вставка
- Опубліковано 11 лип 2024
- Quebec is one of Canada's most beautiful provinces, so I was very excited to be invited by Chevrolet on this brand trip where we got to experience Quebec City and the gorgeous Charlevoix country side in the new Chevrolet Trax! Even though the weather was a bit crazy (snow in May lol), I had so much fun touring around Quebec and especially at the gorgeous eco resort called Repere Boreal that we stayed at in Charlevoix. Highly recommend checking out this beautiful part of Canada!

The travel health insurance I use - PassportCard Nomads: www.passportcardnomads.com/?r...
*I highly recommend this travel health insurance because you don't have to pay out of pocket for your medical expenses and they have very reasonably priced long term plans. You can buy the packages for shorter trips as well, but they're especially fantastic for digital nomads and nomads who want regular health insurance when they are abroad. I am an affiliate of this company, but of course use the plans myself.

I was born in Montreal. Lived nearly all my life there. I speak several languages and moved to Quebec for retirement. In my opinion Quebec city is a precious gem of the French culture in North America.
Did they have a Police escort and a marching band when you returned ?
On Twitter, Domenic claims he's a Columbian ex-pat who wants to overthrow the federal government.
I really enjoyed my time in Quebec City. Love the French influence and the whole city and surrounding area are absolutely beautiful. I did not go to the island so did not get to see the chocolatier. But I was absolutely blown away by a chocolatier I found in Montreal - these places are magic. Quebec province is my favourite in Canada. The French influence a really wonderful aspect of North America.
Good choice, Quebec City is a very nice city, which feels like a village. And the chalet is really cool!
Hello Alina! 😁🙏👋🌟 I hope your having a wonderful day! This is really a marvelous fantastic video! 😄👍❤️👏📹🇨🇦🥇💯💫✨🌟 Wow! Quebec City and Charlevoix looks incredible! The new 2024 Chevrolet Trax does look really cool! Also the Repere Boreal Resort is so truly magnificent! Thank you so much Alina to share with us this excellent video. You are the best and greatest world traveler adventurer! 😃👍👏✈️🌎📹🥇💯🏆💫🌟 I wish you Alina a marvelous glorious amazing blessed day. 😊🙏👋🇨🇦👍✨🌟
Thank you, David and likewise!
What a wonderful opportunity! Congrats!!🎉
Looks like it was a great time!
I love Quebec City, one of my favorite places in Canada!
The hotel in Charlevoix was so lovely…that chalet was perfect for relaxing. Can’t wait to see your Quebec City recommendations. ❤
Thank you so much :)
I was born in Westmont, the Anglophone quarter of Montreal! Quebec is like little France, the atmosphere, the language and culture leaves one with an indelible impression! What I fell in love with is the hot mess that’s made the province famous, poutine. For me, the mix of french fries, brown gravy and fresh cheese curds is the ultimate Canadian comfort food! Its a taste of home. Chevrolet for its part was considerate in inviting you to test drive their new Trax. You’ve never looked happier taking a vacation away from your globe-trotting travels and you’re not one to force yourself to stay home when wanderlust calls you! I will concede its not Paris but there are worse places you could visit and the Charlevoix region was absolutely serene! Thanks for the video and I’m looking forward to more Quebec content in the future.
Poutine is definitely the real deal!
👍
Hello , Alina What a great video. Want to mention that I spent a lot time driving back and forth to Montreal and Quebec City from Boston (during my college years) I had a long-distance relationship with a gal who was from Montreal and went to school at McGill Unversity . The quaint little shops in Old Town Quebec City and the historic Fairmount Le Chateau Frontenac are must dos. The winter months are celebrated with Ice Hotels and Sculptures. My girlfriend and I would enjoy our walks in Charlevoix. Simply Beautiful. Harriet and I were there as well. We hope to go there soon. Repere Boreal sounds like a great place to rest and relax. Both of us can you use it right now. Hope you're doing well. 🙏 Sending you much love and affection from Richmond, Va.
Harriet, Jim and Yuki ❤❤❤
Aw that's really lovely!
Loved that chalet and the food looked super scrummy..looking forward to seeing more of Quebec ❤
More to come! 🙂
Quebec City is undoubtedly one of my favourites in Canada. It has that unique European charm that's remarkable compared to other Canadian cities. Never heard of Charlevoix region before, but I definitely plan to visit after watching this video 👍🏼
Totally agree. I assumed it would be lovely before going there, but it definitely exceeded my expectations!
Very well said.
Charlevoix region is well know for food, whale watching ( 13 species of whales and the largest ) inculding Beluga and the unique Fjord of Saguenay . You way stay at an AUberge ( small family hotel , best food ) or Manoir Charlevoix ( Castle) .... Baie St Paul is all about art galleries and food... Ile aux Coudres is beautiful ... major ski stations as well in winter . Charlevoix has the largest estuary in the world for whale watching from Tadoussac ..
It's definitely a phenomenal presentation of the magical city of Quebec in Canada. A very informative and relaxing road trip coverage as well !! Greetings from India.
Hi Alina! it's great to see you having a wonderful time in my home province, Québec! Our capital, Québec City, established in 1608, is among the first cities established by European settlers in North America! My hometown, Montréal, is relatively younger - founded in 1642, just 381 years ago. I know that you will have an amazing time exploring and discovering Québec City and Montréal! And you're going to make me miss my beautiful homeland region in a big way. I'm very much looking forward to your next videos, Alina!
Wow Alina what an awesome place to stay focused upon nature and relaxation. The new Chevy looked like a nice ride as well. Thanks for sharing!
Welcome home! Keep the interesting content coming especially from new places. Actually I have been to Quebec city many years ago as well as ile d'orleans so brought back memories.
The editing of your videos is so fluent and professional. Love it. Also I like your personal narratives that gives us as viewers a better insight into the places. Love the resort! Look forward to more videos.
Thank you so much!
Wow ecotourism, very interesting.
Their hospitality service very stunning.

Thank you my dear was such a nice video
Quebec City downtown wall is a beatutiful city. i remember so many murals painted on the buildings. The lower level of the city looks great. in day and night time The frontenac hotel really stands out on top of the hill.
ile d'orleans is the best place ive ever been to canada ever
A long time ago, I suppose from the 1940s-1970s, the spokeswoman for Chevrolet was Dinah Shore. Her parents fled Western Russia for the USA during the Russian Civil War and she got involved involved in the country music scene in Nashville as a teenager growing up in Tennessee! Her signature song in Chevy commercials was "See the USA in your Chevrolet".
It is interesting that you were born in the Ukrainian SSR and now you are representing Chevy.
If they have beignets in Quebec, try them!
The place to get them in New Orleans is Cafe Du Monde, famous place! I bet Quebec has them too! 🙂🇺🇸🇺🇦🇨🇦
That's very cool!
Quebec is beautiful. I did a St Lawrence kayaking trip from Baie St Paul.
Yes Quebec is something else beautiful place 👍
Drop Dead gorgeous ❤️
i love Quebec City too.
Hello Alina McLeod, yes the region of Charlevoix, often people from Quebec city and around the region go often to the famous Charlevoix region for nature and local products. 1st) When you go to the Ile d'Orléans chocolate store, i've been there and yes it was a delightful moment :) 2nd) Not go to the place that you where sleeping or massage, but it was a great picks, I've got to others places, but the food and care (spa & massage) are really great outhere. 3rd) The meals that you've shown in your video, is usually what we saw, quite often in Quebec/Charlevoix style, but it always pretty good/great to eat it and surely for you too. I'm happy that overall you liked Montréal/Québec/Charlevoix region Alina. Enjoy and have a beautiful day :)
Nice trip have a good weekend 👍

Hi everyone happy wonderful Sunday stay up
I always wanted to go further downstream along the St Lawrence out to the ocean by boat and stop off in places like Saquenay, Sept Iles etc etc.
There I was in your last vlog asking if you ever or have done a Quebec vlog, and here you are.

Alina you looks great👩💯💌
Very nice place
Congratulations 👏 nice video and what song was that sounded really good 👍
Beautiful ❤
Bienvenue au Québec!
Merci!
Well, buying and driving Chevy's for years got me nothing. So yes, you are living in a fairy tale. I really really like Quebec City and Montreal is a mix of new and old. I've ski'd in Quebec but that's been my experience in the rural area of the province. I did drive from Ottawa to Montreal but never left the highway so don't count it. Nothing is better than being in a hot tube as the snow falls depending on the time it takes the getting in and out of the hot tube, and back indoors in winter is an adventure. You might even say at -20 to -40 Celsius it's kind of chill. Looking forward to more of your Quebec content.
haha maybe someday you will be able to feature in a commercial for them for your patronage
Beautiful video and beautiful young lady; best of luck.
Heading to Quebec City in September for the first time to see Peter Gabriel in concert. 🤘🏼
That's awesome! Hope you have a great time!
Enjoy Quebec city. Charlevoix is the most beautifull place in the world at the peak of fall season. try to imagine yourself at the chalet with all the multi-colors leafs.
That would be beautiful!
Watching sending my love and support injoy godbless
Forget about Montreal, Quebec city is the real deal. The old part of the city is out of this world. Charlevoix is also very nice, for a road trip it's fabulous.
I had a great time in both!
Magnifique!#
Beautiful ❤❤❤ city
Quebec is the birthplace of the legendary Gilles Villeneuve. I'd like to go even if it's just once.
Wow, 140th comment! And 14 is my lucky number. Or I'd like it to be. Quebec city looking really continental european.
Quebec City is quite a pleasant place.
Totally miss my Chev Trail Blazer, if it was pheasble I would buy another n a moment.
Husband loves Quebec City
I want to visit Quebec. I have family roots in Quebec in Montreal and Laval. My cousins founded the city of Laval.
Oh my part of a trip that my wife and I have dreamed of taking! The other part is into Laborador and then see Gras Morain. Yes, to Quebec City! Never knew that it had a little under 1 million people. The hotel sounded great and of interest to us. The Trax is a SUV that has interested me as well as Honda's CRV. ( I have to put something good in here about Honda). It has gotten a bad report about the 1.8 L Ecotech engine but ironically I am drive a similar sized Chevy with a an Ecotech engine in it. If you change the oil regularly ( hint ask your mechanic when you change your oil don't go by the manual) , use a high quality oil ( Mobile 1 Full Sythetic or Penzol Platinium Full Sythetic or equal), and change your timing belt out at 80,000 miles ( instead of the manual suggested 100,000 miles) the car doesn't seem to experience any engine problems, as my consumer agencies are reporting. I also change the transmission oil out at 35,000 miles and have my mechanic fill and drain the transmission 3 times. ( you can not economically change the filter in my transmission and in many newer cars and SUV's they don't have a transmission oil filter) I am getting up to almost 37 mpg (15.73 km/l) in most of my open road driving in warm or hot weather. ( I.e. summer time) I have close to 100,000 miles on my car with no apparent problems. It appears that the biggest problem with the EcoTech engine is the vehicles manual. Anyhow perhaps that will help Chevy out a little with that problem. You missed many of the historical sites & buildings in Quebec City. Quebec City appears to have more tourist appeal than Montreal in my and my wife's opinion so lets see if Alina can prove us wrong. ( to convert to km's multiply the miles by 1.609)
A full Quebec City vlog will be the next video!
Thank you for doing this. The province of Quebec isn't known as "la belle province" for no reason, and it deserves to be visited and appreciated for its uniqueness by all Canadians.
If you want snow in July, go to Lake Tahoe. Only in Aug, early Sept there won’t be any snow.
Great video, Alina! What was Chevrolet's purpose in doing this promo? Did they film any of it, perhaps for an ad? Were you asked to "debrief" Chevrolet about your experience driving the Trax? Why did they do this project? Many thanks for all of your videos -- they're instructive, well-produced, and beautiful!
Alina amazing
Very proud to see you involved with an event such as this. Name tag, VIP status, opinions sought oat. Whomever found the group had hundreds (1,000’s?) of travel and hospitality hosts to choose from. But … please … the plumbing lines in the cottage are as mixed up as every telephone pole in Viet Nam. Gahh!
Chateau Frontenac. Up there over Christmas & New Years, our sons were young hockey players then. Of course we had skates and sticks (Mom, too). Chateau Frontenac had an oatdoor rink, fun afternoon shinny with other families. Under the lights as well. Coming up to bedtime, long day, as skates are coming off us Dads said to each other ‘…I’ll come back oat … me, too … sure thing once they’re asleep…’ Aboat eight of us laced up later on and played till after midnight. You’ve got to do that, eh.
Trax can be seen here, nice car!#
will there ever be a chance to visit any of the small villages/townships county fairs this summer out in ON eastern townships or Quebec townships ?
Beautiful, beautiful Canada!
Как там пожары?
Надеюсь получится их заносить. На прошлой неделе у нас в Нью Йорке было "очень красочно". Успехов
