It is a tradegy that Strauss did not go on to write lots of chamber music. This early sonata has everything that a major concert piece should have. It is played here with enormous confiction by both partners to great effect. Anton Sorokow's intense vibrato fits well with the broad expansive phrases typical of Strauss.
At 21:03 it looks as if the page turner transformed her body into another human being. If so, it might be even more noteworthy than your magnificent interpretation.
