    Une splendide version de ce trio en La majeur, de 1882,, composé à la mémoire d'un grand artiste, ici interprétée par trois grands artistes. Excellente prise de son.

      I discovered this piece recently (also in my 70's). It's my favorite piece of Tchaikovsky's, i think his finest work. Right up there with the greatest piano trios in the classical repertory.

    Una interpretazione profondamente lirica e romantica di un pezzo ultra romantico nella produzione del grandissimo maestro Tchaikovsky. Non è vero che gli interpreti contemporanei sono incolori e pavidi. Qui c’è arte e coraggio, signori. Bravissimi.

    チャイコフスキ-の音楽性を崇美に引き上げた.3人の素晴らしい演奏技術がチャイコフスキ-独特の粘着質な曲想を、ペトロ-ヴアもカント-ロフもパスカルモ。3人3様に、絡み合いながらレヴエルの高い曲を作り上げていると思い、聞き入りました。

      @@Janaceks_Dad They omitted the vital fugal variation no.8 that I was comparing between different ensembles (please see my separate comment). Having ascertained that, I did not listen to the whole piece to see if anything else was missing.

    Pues francamente no soy en absoluto ni un conocedor ni un erudito musical pero si puedo disfrutar, ahora con esta obra del maestro ruso que ya no lo es porque se ha hecho maestro universal...uno siente emoción grande al simplemente sintonizar en esta aplicación esta interpretación y surgen desde la fantasía, vibraciones de alegría, tristeza, sentimientos oceánicos que puede uno dejar esparcir como energía musical por todo el orbe y al miso tiempo puede comprenderse qué significa la expresión el arte suprime barreras, es la paz, somos uno, vida, luz...y llanto!!!

    Ah, enfin une version qui me plait. De la finesse! C'est mieux que le mytique trio Rubinstein, Heifetz, Piatigorsky et bien sûr bien mieux que les nombreuses lourdes versions avec Maïsky.

    • @jean-loupcourtier3444
      @jean-loupcourtier3444 7 місяців тому

      oui mais il y a aussi Richter, kagan et Gutman, Gilels, Kogan et Rostro, ainsi que Repin, Yablonsky et Berezovsky pour les versions russes qu'il ne faut pas oublier, même si les codes interprétatifs ne sont pas les mêmes. Superbe version tout de même. Espérons que ce trio perdurera.
      En ce qui concerne Rubinstein, l'enregistrement date de 1950 et a été réalisé dans son appartement parisien, ce qui peut expliquer un cdertain manque de présence due à la prise de son. JLC

    Why did you omit the fugal variation no. 8 that should have been played at 28:16? Too diffficult?
    Why has no one else pointed this out in one and a half years?

    • @jamesandrewes9640
      @jamesandrewes9640 Рік тому +3

      The score says "This variation can be omitted" (a cut permitted by Tchaikovsky himself).

    • @rocamaxivojofahd333
      @rocamaxivojofahd333 Рік тому +1

      @James Andrewes Thanks for this info, you are correct. Also Tchaik. indicated a big chunk of the finale was optional. Still, the operative word was "можно"= "one can" and most other trios play the material, for good reason.

    • @jamesandrewes9640
      @jamesandrewes9640 Рік тому +1

      @@rocamaxivojofahd333 you obviously like the fugue 🙂 I'm on the fence. To me, it doesn't really add much, given that the previous movement already ends on an exhilarating high, setting up the surprise of the melancholy C# minor variation to come. And fugues usually come at the end of a set of variations, so it seems misplaced. I can see why Tchaikovsky suggested this variation could be cut (as opposed to any of the other variations, which, to me, have more character). In what way do you feel the fugue is 'vital', as you mentioned in another comment?

    • @rocamaxivojofahd333
      @rocamaxivojofahd333 Рік тому +1

      @@jamesandrewes9640 I guess because fugues were rare in late-romantic music and Tchaikovsky was quite adept at them, writing several including for Orchestral Suite No 1 and various piano pieces before this Trio. A good performance--on YT for example Viviane Hagner & Co (who play it hell-for-leather) or Kirill Troussov & Co (more lyrical) should hold the listener's attention from the first piano entry in octaves and then with the visible contrapuntal interplay of the string and piano voices. The trio is poorer without it in my opinion, whatever conventions may apply as to its positioning within a set of variations. According to Wikipedia it seems the entire trio was an experiment anyway at the request of Nadezhda von Meck, because Tchaikovsky disliked the instrumental combination.
