i always adore these streams and compilations because i feel like so many people think science is very serious and boring and stoic and it's not!! it's people seeing sea cucumbers or siphonophores and saying "i love you!! you are so cute!!! you are my favorite!!!" it makes me so happy :)
While watching this, I'm just imagining the HOURS and HOURS or tireless prep, scanning & just endless waiting that goes into these expeditions. All that effort for these "2 minute moments".... Totally worth it! ❤👍🥰
I have an intense fear of the ocean, but I try to find videos like this every once in a while to appreciate the ocean and everything in it. I think if I didn't have this phobia, I would have loved to go into a field like this. Maybe in the next life. For now, I will watch from afar, safely in a land locked state
Your UA-cam channel is changing our opinion on the seabed and the life of sea creatures in general. Your way of commenting on the videos is also just as extraordinary: wonder is a form of invigorating faith Really thank you for everything A fan living in Dakar, Senegal, West Africa
Its crazy to think for thousands of yrs all these beautiful creatures were just living their lives out unnoticed in the dark. Im so glad we have the tech to see this stuff!!!
I clapped when the Sea Urchin went into the box. I love how the guy kept saying is that just one? That Coral was like something from a horror movie, but beautiful at the same time. Thank you all you Boys and Girls for taking us along. I always love the commentary 🤣 and information. When I watch this I always think of a teacher who says now? boys and girls I want you to use your imagination and draw me something you think might be under the Ocean, only its no longer an imagination it's for REAL.
Even with such incredible footage as this, it's hard to imagine what it truly looks like down there without the lights. And also how much beauty is hidden.
Thank you all for the wonderful opportunity to learn more about our oceans. The commentary by the scientists is adorable. This channel is the most entertaining, and a fun way to learn.
That nudibranch was phenomenal. Absolute Spanish dancing she needed was a 🌹! Also stunningly visual stimulus undernsea gardens help me to envision visiting an octopuses
I love this channel not only because it’s so informational, but you guys also bash the belief that scientists are super serious all the time. If I’m being honest, one of you has probably used the word “skrunkly” to describe an animal you’ve seen. and if it hasn’t happened yet, then it’s definitely going to happen eventually.
The absolute joy and enthusiasm these people have for their job is what makes these videos so fun to watch. It’s engaging, and makes you want to learn more. I come across your videos every so often and every time it makes me so happy and want to learn more! A few hours ago I watched some of the current livestream and I forget the exact things said but the topic was UTC time and the two men discussing it made the topic so entertaining to listen to. I swear anyone in these videos could talk about paint dry and make it interesting! The absolute joy in your voices make me want to learn more, and the people I’ve shared your videos with agree. Thank you so much for sharing your videos and making the amazing organisms of the ocean more accessible to the public! I know for a fact that this channel will be the thing to bring people into this field. Keep up the amazing work! I hope all of you have an amazing day and find even more things!
Thank you so much for doing what you do, I've learned so many things about sea life through your channel and streams, you guys make everything so fascinating. I used to tune into practically every single stream no matter what else was going on, and I'm starting to do so again lately, I just love having it on in the background. It's all so positive and informative and everyone involved is just so passionate and happy to be doing what they love. One of the best and definitely most wholesome channels on UA-cam, never stop doing what you do!!
Yes we melt for, fawn & adore "dumbo squid"🐙but how about some love for grumpy batfish1:30? To me, the epitome of cute & misunderstood😁Great work as always! Appreciate how EVNautilus has improved research methods & technology. All these individual glimpses & brief observations, inspire ideas how they could provide assemblage, relationships, general assessment of various communities & ecosystem function over the region, beside determine how affected by Anthropocene activity. Status report!🐬Another matter is the astounding diversity that still provides surprises😳could be pleasing but unaware of richness or whether indigenous to particular marine communities, health & function or any intrusion, instability, & risks.Thx for your service!🐳
Trevor (the pilot) says he has an untrained eye at 6:57. C'mon Trevor, you've spent more time pointing that big lens at paragorgia than any coral scientist.
The museum I work at has an entire deep sea dive with footage and specimens from one of the canyons off of the coat of New York. They also added a small ‘Marine Biologist Chat’ in the corner of the presentation where there are ‘comments’ on the various animals that are shown. Id like to think it’s in reference to you guys 😂 I still want a ‘looks like a dropped toy’ comment for the dumbo footage
These videos make me so happy, I’ve always wanted to be a deep sea marine biologist but I’ve settled on becoming a chef, so seeing how excited y’all are about these amazing animals is like being there with you guys 💜.
The crazy thing is: You are thinking, they mapping a big precentage of the ocean floor. Hydrographer: Nah we are currently on 0.00025% of 100. My mind is blown away how big the earth really is.
The EV seems to really be affecting the sea life. I wonder how much of this is due to the lights? Has there been much work done to try and image these areas *without* using the spotlights? A low light camera on a stationary (very stationary) EV may yield a different perspective. Great videos as is, with the lights. Thanks!
Was für wunderschöne Videos, wie ein Traum. Ich kann nicht viel englisch aber die Stimmen sind auch sehr nett, man fühlt wie die Forscher sich freuen. Danke fürs zeigen😊❤!
This footage is incredible!! Thank you so much I love watching these and listening to the commentary. Can’t wait to see what more extraordinary creatures get discovered!
Those areas have a certain beaty to them like every creature is different and special in it's own way you don't have mostly fishy fishes but you have a lot of diverse fauna squids, corals and sea cucumbers
Hello! How do sea corals produce such vibrant colors when light can't pass through/get through the deepest part of the ocean on where they are located? Thank you.
This material is a fountain of creativity and new ideas. A book I read with comparable themes influenced my journey. "A Life Unplugged: Reclaiming Reality in a Digital Age" by Theodore Blaze

Hello 👋 How are you doing today??
That’s because you are a naive woman
where to watch the full streams? i can only ever find clips.

Hearing the scientists reactions is one of the best parts, seems they really enjoy their job.
While watching this, I'm just imagining the HOURS and HOURS or tireless prep, scanning & just endless waiting that goes into these expeditions.
All that effort for these "2 minute moments"....
Totally worth it! ❤👍🥰
to be fair, also a ton of usable data and samples for ongoing research
Scientist sees a crab holding an anemone “what is he doing with it?” The other scientist “he holds it 🥺” “where is he going with it?” “He loves it 🥺🥺”

You could do it remotely like they are.
You probably died drowning in your last life.
same here

Cthulhu rises from the deep. These scientists: AWWW WOW! How pretty! I love him!🥰

It was like playing basketball except you control the hoop
Thank you to the EVNautilus team. You guys always bring great footage and incredibly funny commentary! Keep up the good work guys!

I absolutely love listening to the marine biologists going "Oh My God it has a grumpy faaaaaaacceeee"
This channel lifts my spirits every time. So nice to know other people love the world and all it's weirdness as much as I do!

I don't know anything watsoever about oceanography but I can't stop watching this, the conversation is sooo wholesome, it got me drunk on serotonin
Wow, spectacular video! Is there any additional information on that fossil picked up from sea floor in one of the highlights?

Researcher 5's enthusiasm after spotting the sea dandelion at 13:37 is infectious, adorable, and iconic. I wonder if she was on LSD
it’s love, not lsd

Another compilation! Everyone’s favorite😍
So sad to see the viewership go down… the algorithm really plays no favorites does it…
"It's got the biggest Dumbo flappy flaps". This is the commentary I'm here for. Love you guys xxxx
It's amazing how many alien like creatures live deep below the sea. This must be the coolest job ever!
Imagine if I could watch this all in VR 360. oh man especially with everyone sounding so excited!
THIS is the correct application for this technology, although I would probably be as terrified as I was excited

13:35 the most adorable reaction
14:40
That looks like what I expect from a alien planet or something .It's stunning
The scientist at 13:41 fawning over the siphonophore is so cute, that’s my reaction to seeing them too
30:40 absolutely fascinated by this controller

“It’s extruding!” “Yayyy!”
Science was and still is my favorite subject. I can't go near a boat on water but I appreciate people who do. 😂😂😂
45:39 he’s a smart boi 🥺
I love you EVNautilus, live laugh love EVNautilus❤❤❤❤❤
I adore these videos
Little known fact, Magic Mike actually learned to do body rolls by watching footage of swimming sea pigs
😂🤪
I loveee thisss 🥺
The octopus at 45:02 is so pretty! Do you know what kind it could possibly be?
I would also like to know the exact species, but i'm fairly sure it is a species of Benthoctopus.
god it must be fantastic working as a programmer on a task like this. actually contributing positively to society with code
30:40 Didn't know Harry Mack was piloting ROVs now. Dope!
God all these things are out there right now, I’m in bed watching a video and that seapig is flopping around
Thanks a lot for sharing this amazing footage

52:09 What is this structure at the end of the video? Is it a sunken Ship?
Do Chimeras have Lateral lines like sharks? Are they distantly related?
I heard them answer this on the vid- they are sort of between sharks and fish, in their own category, so yeah I think so! :)
@@Petemossnchaos I missed that part apparently. I’ll watch/listen again. Thanks!
They're in the same class as sharks, skates, and rays (Chondrichthyes), so yes!
what depths are yall sending the ROV down to?
Hermosas tomas
13:35 “It’s extruding!”😂😢😅
to answer the man that keep wondering ! may be they don t think !!!!!! they don t need to ! njoylife
Wish there were Timestamps for this. 😓

3:25 it looks like the lobe of a lung!

44:57 Octopus
wow my favorite moment is at 16:00
what have you done with that "sample", was it released again?
They most likely dissect it and analyze it, to learn more about the species, the individual creature, and what it could be related to!
