My pomsky is 6 months old and she is VERY active. If my family were not big, I would never be able to get work done! She loves lots of attention, always wants to play, and she loves the cold. She sits in front of the AC vents in the summer, and she likes to nap outside in the winter. She will only go outside in the summer if there is shade. Oh, and daily runs at the park are a must. Training her was quick and easy, and she is good with kids. I'm a first time owner, and it was difficult at first but she was definitely worth it :)
We got a Pomsky six years ago. She is the smartest dog we’ve ever had, which included Dobermans and Beagles. She was easily potty trained, likes the leash and her crate; knows 30 voice commands and loves people. Yes, she needs a lot of “hair care” but the many hours of companionship far outweigh the weekly brushing at home and the bimonthly trip to the professional groomer.
I rescued my Pomsky from an animal shelter. He’s a great dog about 2-3 years old but, he’s high energy and likes to breaks everything. I’m good at training him so he’s better now that it’s been over a year I have him. Pomsky’s like to escape from offers so I suggest if u want him running in the yard make sure your fences are high and intact. Other than that Pomsky’s are very loving dogs. Good luck and like the author of the video said try your local shelters and rescues, lots of luck. Greetings from New York City 🌃🦊🐶🐩🐕
Love the very dark pup. Looks like a quality husky cross. I have two pomchi dogs and the male is amazing. Totally follows hand signals and directions which he figures out on his own. It’s because we spend so much time together. The fem is the sweetest little dog who doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. Cute as a button.
Hi, we have a 9 month old Pom Pomsky that was abandoned on us. A drop and run of a very casual neighbor. Who has not contacted us. We are experienced dog owners and this little charmer has gained weight and grown into a real dog. He finally is playing with toys! Such a cuddle bug to! He is displaying some some adorable mischievous behaviors. He really wants to please us and really really wants to learn and learns fast! He is the most charming dog we have ever had! He is great with all ages. Such a gentleman, he has great manners. We really got lucky with a second generation Pom Pomsky. A Pomsky bred back to another Pomeranian.
I have 2 F3 pomskies. Both from same parents. My 2 1/2 year old girl is 19# and my 1+ year old boy is 14.5 #. Definitely will be smaller. Love this breed. Not too clingy and not really destructive as some other dogs as pups. But I have 5 acres and they love to run. Fenced in due to husky run away tendencies. Pomsky Northerns is my breeder in Utah. Genetic tested and responsible. No regrets!
I took a dog in from a woman that could not care for him and he was only 8 months old and beautiful and friendly ... he was a pomsky and I never heard of one and I did not research ...I love dogs and it was a fast decision ...he also had this blue merle coat ,so pretty , but anyway he has been destructive (tore up my sofa completely, no exaggeration) he does jump the fence so i am working on raising it (half way finished) ...I am not a good trainer but I do know how to love my dogs (I also have a yellow lab) .. i can never get rid of Jack now , no way ever, so I will work on training but I definitely recommend researching first before you fall in love ... it is better for you and your dog ...and yes there are the vet bills so please make sure you include it in your budget...I take more pleasure in making sure my dogs are healthy than buying new boots or designer purse .. of course if you make better money than me you can have both :) ... good luck and happiness !
I have seen a beautiful Pomsky, I lost my white German Shepard and I had one neighbor complaining that he barked a lot, which he didn’t only when he saw a cat in the garden or someone he didn’t know. Will I have the same problem buying this Pomsky? Are they load an bark continuously as I am worried about the neighbor complaining again ?
I want to buy a pomsky and i have one but im not sure if it is one actually because i dont know anything of the parents, what should i look at to notice more if it is one, i have pictures of her if you could help?
I am considering helping out a collegue looking after her pomsky for a longer period of time because she is unable to. Her pomsky is a mini dog. Not really like shown here. I am just curious is that possible as she has a 3rd generation litter sibling ( 1 year later) that look like the pomsky showed here in the video. The older pomsky looks very much like a typical pomeranian with very skinny legs and mini size. More like the mother. Is that possible?
If you’re in the northern region there are millions look online for a long time! However keep in mind scammers I don’t recommend paying until meeting the dog n breeder best way to know for sure he dog exists
So, i love dogs and Pomsky was always my ideal type since the time I got to know about it. So can you please tell me, from where I can get a pomsky? And how much price? Or from where I can adopt one?
Try calling your local shelters because I was able to adopt one form the shelter near my home. Keep calling them every two days to see if the have any or stop in to see them and put your name on a list. Pomsky’s are not that often available. They’re very high energy and like to talk so be ready. Other than that I love mine and can’t live without them. Remember they’re escape artists. Good luck!🍀
@@jingerbread5110 Hi, I don’t really know where you can buy one or Rescue a Pomsky from. I did look on the internet to see if I can help you but, since I adopted mine from a local animal shelter near my home I don’t know where to suggest you get one. I didn’t have to really pay just animal shelter fees but, they cost lots of money from what information I got from the internet. Since you are in India you need a place that will ship the dog to you unless you come to the states and pick him up. I’m sorry I can’t help you with that if I find out any new information I will gladly message you. It would be more convenient if you could see if there’s places where they breed them in India because the transport would be overwhelming for a small puppy or even any dog. I wish you luck. If I find out any news I’ll contact you. There’s a city in India where they’ve got lots of dogs I’ll look and see if I can find out the name and place maybe u can contact them, meanwhile I wish you the best. The adoption places where I am usually don’t have them I was just lucky that I was there and went often and the workers there wanted me to have it since my Pomeranian had just passed away and he was almost 14 years old so they knew I would care very well for any dog I got. They’re not available in shelters all the time. Lots of luck to you.
@@jamilahadade4412 hello there too, yeah i did some research too. And i even emailed them about my enquiries. Thank you so much that you took out time and did tried to help me out. I'm very grateful for that. Though we have lockdown here, but I'll try to move out on my city to get a one, 'cause I love them and want to be a dog mom too. But thanks for your effort♡
The price of a pomsky puppy depends on its looks and size. Minis usually cost more, as well as, puppies with blue eyes or husky coloring. $750 is a fare price for a puppy with brown eyes
It will take decades before a “Pomsky” will be considered a breed to be accepted by any of the major Kennel clubs around the world. By decades, we’re talking on the scale of about 40 years. There ARE groups working to create the “Arctic Spitz”, but the majority of Pomskies will not ever be a part of the development of the breed as many breeders focus on creating F1 mixes and nothing after that. My breed, the Mini American Shepherd, took about 50 years before it became a fully accepted breed with the AKC. There’s no shortcut. And there is no such thing as a “designer breed”. They are a mix. I suggest anyone seeking a Pomsky instead seek a responsible breeder who is actively working toward the Arctic Spitz.
