My bichon lived to be 18y . Healthy to the end, passed away in my arms . The 2, I have now are healthy and happy. Can't be beat !! My bichons love walking , keep their coat short and they cool just fine. Don't listen to this, they are worth it. They are protective too
I second that - DON'T listen to this! We have an adorable 10 year old male Bichon we adopted 3 yrs ago this May from an elderly woman (almost 90), and the same for us. He was already trained in basic commands. Pretty smart - communicates well his needs and wants. Not been picky with food or treats. Funny though, I think his previous mom allowed him to have human food along with his dog food sometimes. He let his temptations get the best of him a few times the first year we had him lol. Now that was a little costly going to the ER for for getting into chocolate and raisins. Very sweet and affectionate. Free alarm and security. Anyone at or messing with the door, he's on it! Grooming isn't that expensive. A visit every 2.5mos ($75-85 tip included). A couple weeks after he's groomed, a little brushing and combing to help prevent matting 1x a wk or every other wk. I use short grooming scissors to trim around his eyes, bum, and his little one in between grooming to keep those areas clean and free from build up of things. We live in N.E. (MA) - in the winter he wears clothing and boots just like other pups and is more than fine. In summertime his hairdo is cut shorter. Neck coolers/cooling bandanas help for 90~+ temps for everyone. He loves being outside for walks. I'm a Pet Sitter so he gets to come along with me for visits with other pups and kitties. He's Mr. Sociable! Super friendly with everyone, people, sociable with every breed of dog, no matter the size, male or female. He walks with a pack of sometimes up to 5 other pups at a time. He's usually the smallest one. A great leader too. No anxiety. He stays home alone for hours with no issues when we're not able (or we don't want to) to bring him along. Date night with hubby doesn't include the little one :) Just leave the tv on something good.
Our first Bichon lived to be 16. She passed almost 3 years ago and we still miss her dearly. She was the sweetest dog either of us had ever had. To find a Bichon, expect to be on a private breeder list for up to 2 years or more. We choose a smaller breeder and it still took 15 months to get our new female baby. Male's are easier to find. Bichon's are best for a stay at home owners as they get very attached and extremely protective of their people. We try to make sure that one of us is at home. Our Bichon is groomed every 4 weeks and we bathe her every 7-10 days. Expect to spend $100 a month in caring for your Bichon and another $500-$600 a year for normal Vet visits. Every time you look at your adorable Bichon, the pure joy they give you will be well worth the money.🤗💗
@@JT-2012 I live in Oslo In Norway so there are only two people who is selling Bichon puppies at the moment (one hours away from where I live) that I trust. I don't' to buy a dog that is not certified healthy. I've seen so many places on internet who seen them way too cheap
As an owner of a Bichon Frise, I couldn't recommend them more. I love my Bichon more than anything in the world, and they are the cutest dogs ever. (In my opinion) 🇮🇪
That's going to be a wonderful reunion. 🐶❤️ Bichons are the most wonderful dogs I have been fortunate enough to have had 3 in my life. Love from Ireland 🇨🇮 👍 🐩
I'm onto my fifth Bichon and I find them the most perfect dog (and I've owned other types). Mine gets a cut every 6 weeks. But I try and brush my dogs every 2 days. It's quite therapeutic brushing them. They're great with my grandchildren and with other dogs. I love them to bits!!!
Most affectionate happiest smartest dog. They're like adorable little children. No shedding. You won't be disappointed. They're an inside dog. House training isn't anymore difficult than any other dog they want your approval. They just want to give love.
My Bichon is the best dog I’ve ever had. I’ve never had any issue with him, he’s fun, friendly, and easygoing. He loves people and other animals, and I take him hiking and swimming. He’s a sturdy dog who’s had no health issues and doesn’t at all show his age even though he’ll be 15 soon. I have no complaints
This is my first one. I got Holly at a rescue shelter. She is 13. I know they don't live much longer at 16 maybe. I fell in love with her and she has been a real joy.
My cousin had a Bichon named Bijou. He was a male and he was 6 years old. one day when my aunt took him for a walk he got hit by a car and died right when my cousins other dog Masha had puppies in her stomach. We miss him very much. Now i have a little Bichon named Milo that looks exactly like him. He always reminds me of him. Miss you so so so so so so so much and RIP Bijou. I still love you you little cutiepaws.
My beautiful Marley passed away 2 days ago, he was 12 years old and unfortunately had diabetes for 3 years, I wish he can be in a better place, missing him so badly 😢 Bichon frise are the best.
The perfect dog for me! I have my second one and she's just as special if not more than the boy I lost to natural causes in 2011. I am disabled so have only so much energy per day. My little girl is clingy, which I need! I have trained her to be a service dog. These dogs are highly interactive, highly trainable and the most wonderful companion for an apartment dweller, low activity person like me. Potty training was a breeze! We use pup pads and she caught on super fast! She's brilliant and amazing and I'd never choose another breed. I love this breed and I've had many. I love all dogs, but my perfect match is the Bichon Frise :)
As a former owner, I can attest to the accuracy of this video. You won’t find a nicer dog but they are prone to skin allergies and housetraining is work. That said, they are so sweet and loveable they are definitely a great pet.
My sister has a 13 year old one that was my parents dog. He doesn’t shed that soft curly fur. He does get along with 2 cats so far. I used to played with him when he was living with my parents. He is a sturdy little dog.
I live in Las Vegas Nevada and over the years had 15. We had a doggie door and that made things great for them, they would go play in the heat and be back in when they had enough. PJ was one goof because he liked laying in the sun and watching kids walk to school.
I love my 4 year old Bichon Lulu. She was housebroken really quick and she learn to let me know when she wants out, which she learned on her own. I do agree with the separation anxiety. She’s so smart and playful.
I have a Bichon and she is PERFECT. Yes, she does need attention. She came to me at six years old and had been socially neglected after she came out of the show ring. She was used for breading but is on the small side and couldn't produce enough puppies so I was blessed and received her as a gift from a breeder who gave her to my daughter for me. I also have a Yorkie something. His vet calls him a Yorkie mix but I think he's really something. They just love each other. I had her spayed after she got used being here and I got the Yorkie neutered after he came to me from being dumped in the desert. I have had fur babies as long as I can remember and the two I have right now are awesome. I live in Las Vegas, NV. and in case you don't know, it's hotter than blue blazes here in the summer but my Bichon does just fine. She and my Yorkie are allowed to go out to do their business but they are timed because of the heat. In the winter, they have little jackets and can run and play as much as they want. Of course they are inside VERY high walls so they are safe. Just love your Bichon, enjoy your time together, I work from home, and your fur baby will return your love 10 times over.
❤ I know its been a long time, but a tear was shed for your baby. The conundrum for me of getting another one after this. It really hurts so so so so bad. Honestly, for me it's like scar tissue that kinda always festers- good and bad. Its unfair that they don't get more time for creatures that are 100%❤
My entire life I had never been a “ dog person “ my family was the busy type who never had time for pets so we never had any, at 31 years old my girlfriend bought a bichon for my 2 little girls, and i admit I wasn’t best pleased at first, but now 3 years down the line I can’t imagine life without her. In typing this message I’ve actually just realised my dog likes me more than my girlfriend actually 🤦🏻♂️
I just adopted a bichon from a kennel (puppy mill) in Nov at 7mo old. He just turned a year old🥰. He definitely has major separation anxiety even when being babysat🥴. Car rides are difficult for him so have to give him calming chews. I feel so blessed that he's attached to me. Oh my gosh Blake is a billy goat! I've tried every trick to get him to stop eating rabbit pellets on the ground but NOTHING works. I've had to take him to the vet 3 times but I have peace of mind that Blake's needs are being met. He deals with allergies. Most definitely stubborn. Hates the word "No!" Becomes even more feisty to corrective behavior, the stinker. Training is challenging but loves to play with all toys including destroying 3 of my shoes lol. Have had to baby proof my home lol. So freaking energetic and keeps me active (on my toes). He LOVES water especially when I take my showers lol. I fully groom him myself, so patient and accepting of it. Currently training him as my medical service dog. Helps my PTSD and type 1 diabetes. He alerts me, which is amazing!😀. I believe God pairs us with the fur babies meant to be. We're their pets for sure.🥰.
My Bichon is almost 15 years old and she has been the most wonderful dog I have ever had! Smart is an under statement and I never even had to potty train her, she followed her mom outside and that was it! She has never been to a groomer cuz I have groomed her all her life. She has a sister who is a Havaton and is 3 whom keeps her on her feet and they just love each other so much!! I would highly recommend the Bichon breed! Very sweet good natured and mine never barks!
I have a Maltese bichon who is now 3 years old. Definitely a fussy eater when we first got him and separation anxiety is a big thing. When I leave for work he refuses to take a treat to show his unhappiness. Short walks are fine as he is smaller than average but he still wants to play when we get back, otherwise he will bug you until you give him attention. Absolutely adorable though, we feel so lucky.
We have to bichons so loving and attentive. Follows me every where, well the one does. He broke his vertebrae earlier this year which was awful for him. Had an operation so was sleeping on the floor with him for 12 weeks so as he didn't jump on beds or chairs. So I was lucky I didn't have aa full time job at that point so could dedicate my time and life to him. He's doing well now. The tears shed over this special boy could have floated a boat.
We had a Bichon Frise. She was the sweetest little baby ever! She lived to almost 15,She may have lived longer but she had doggie dementia and had gone from a healthy 12 pounds down to 6.9 lb because of forgetting to eat. We even fed her dog friendly people food after she started losing weight. We had to go on a cross country trip for our son's wedding and were concerned that something might happen while we were gone, so we had her put to sleep, surrounded by the people who loved her. She was so sweet
I have always been partial to big dogs... Shepherds, Rotties, Dobies, and the like. But if I ever get a small dog, a Bichon would be my choice! The first time I saw one, I fell in love at first sight! They are, absolutely, the CUTEST dogs on the face of the earth... Bar none!! Now that I live in an apartment with just a balcony patio, a big dog would not be happy. I would LOVE to get a Bichon Frise, now that I'm a 'senior-ish' homebody!
I loved my bischon, he was with us for 18 years. My husband purchased him for me after I had a stroke. He was a wonderful companion and I truly miss me. They are the perfect companion.
I have two Biscons ... twins/ Beau and Button[ The correct spelling for their names are Butnz and Beauz. I brought them home at 9 weeks old. They are now 3 years old. The two of them have become 9:21 my companions, children, and trusted friends After the death of my husband and family dog, Jack in 2020. They brought new life and joy into the house ... never a dull moment.
Lovely Lovely breed of dog. If you have time to look after their devoted needs then they could well be the dog for you. We had a bichon who lived until 14. Very hyperactive she was. Never had problem with weather. Double coat guards from hot sun, have coat longer in winter, ours loved the snow! Sensitive stomachs yes but resilient too, ours never fussy. Would eat anything if had rhe chance, but we only ever fed healthy. We miss our little Bichon so much.
My Sassy was easy to train and very independent. She wasn’t clingy. Easy to potty train and teach tricks. I would recommend them. No separation anxiety. Loved everyone.
My wife and I have one and has chosen me as her favorite human. He always goes to me first whenever he wants to do/need something. He is also clingy at the moment he is almost 2y.o. we love him very much!
I had 2 Bichons Frise . One bichon was a son of 2 champions and was absolutely beautiful and so vey smart the other was as beautiful and smart as well. Both were a RESCUE dogs as all the animals I ever had . You need to walk them out every so often otherwise they will forget to ask to go out and there it goes another accident inside ; they are difficult to house train , but I was able to obtain that with a lot of patience and time . It is costly to groom them but I learn how to do it myself . They are very sweet and easy to train to the point of becoming a "CLOWN " . My were dancing , rolling over , jumping and walking on the hind legs. Absolutely loving dogs , but with a very sensitive stomach , so I cook for them myself and this way I knew exactly what they were eating and they were very healthy . I also brushed their teeth , cut their nails, cleaned their ears , walk them and LOVE them to pieces . I was staying at home , so I could afford to take care of them . One was an ALFA dog and he was 19 years old when he died in my arms . The other one was only 15 years old and he died also in my arms of a stroke . I miss them terribly but now I have Siberian Husky and Yorkie which are so completely different but as loving and as wonderful . Remember that not every dog suits your life style so choose the one which fits the best and I am sure you will have a BEST friend for many years to come.
They are the happiest dogs I’ve ever known. I’m in love with this breed and I’m on my second. It is very true about them barking at predators or dangerous animals. My first Bichon barked at a moose so much, that it crashed through my fence to get at her. Fortunately at that point she ran. Took her a dozen hours to stop shaking. Did she learn anything? Nope. She kept barking at everything. My current Bichon saw a black bear in our yard and ran at it, barking. The bear was on the fence and Clancy kept jumping up at it and the bear was swinging it’s arm at the dog and barely missing. I had to pick up the nearest thing I could use, a plastic push broom, and swung it at the bear until it left. I was never so scared for my dog. He also learned nothing. I absolutely adore him.
I love Bichons! I lost my first one, Max, to liver cancer at 13.5 years old in 2012, 6 months later got Gracie who just turned 11 (10/20/2023) and my third one is Sammy, he just turned 1 on 10/15/2023. The only thing I don’t recommend is this huge age gap if you have more than 1. Gracie is not that interested in Sammy being she’s 10 years older, almost to the day. Same breeder. Didn’t have to wait long to get them. Gracie is attached to me and Sammy is attached to my sister. They are a lot of work, but they are worth it! ❤
Many years ago I helped my mother in law find a Bichon Frise that an acquaintance of a coworker was looking to re-home because their kids weren’t spending enough time with the dog, Milo was about two at the time and he ended up spending another 14 years or so with them. He was the most gentle dog, and never even so much growled at anyone. The only annoying tendency that he had was frequent whining and would steal food if you weren’t paying attention. When Milo passed away at 16 years old, I cried as if he were my own dog, although I only saw him once or twice a week on average.
I owned one. He was so precious to me. I had him since she was six Weeks old till he was 17, he died, but he was my companion when he was young. He was bossy, he was demanding, but he was a lover. He didn't like anybody else touching me a Oh boy.
Our vet said our small cute dog is Bichon cross. We got him as a mature young dog. He's 17 lbs at nearly 3 years. He has soft curly white fur with small black spots. He is FULL of energy, will bark demanding that we throw his toy for him. Hes quite protective. He has nipped several ppl and we are trying to break that behaviour. Thia is thwmost loving little dog and very funny!
We've had three: Daisy, Peony, Lily, now Ivy. Daisy was a rescue and we fell in love with them. Sadly our little Lily died young at 7 from hydrocephalus, very unexpectedly. Luckily we were then able to find a friend of a friend who was having her first litter. So we got our Ivy. My baby. Being disabled she is a joy and comfort to me.
We have a fourteen-year-old poochon. He's every bit as charming and sweet and cute as a full Bichon but because of the poodle half we didn't have any problems with housebreaking. Also mixed breeds tend to not have as many hereditary issues. Bichons are completely adorable.
This is my 2nd Bichon my first passed at 14 yrs old, I was heart broken. My daughters gifted me with my new fur baby, I truly miss my old boy, my new boy is just as sweet and loyal. Love Bichon’s great family pets. They don’t shed, so if you suffer from allergies or possibly asthma they may be a good breed to consider🤗
I housetrained my Napoleon in two weeks. They're great if you have allergies. They're also very sturdy with few health issues. Yes. They are active but Napoleon exercised himself in the house between walks. All they need is a straight, unobstructed pathway to do their Bichon Zoom 😊. They love to be under you but that's true for everyone because he never met a stranger. My aunt used to babysit him during the day or he would go to doggy daycare. He would forget me as soon as they closed the gate...lol. He died in 2015 and yes I was gutted and still am so I want three more😊
I had a Bichon 18yrs.She was very intelligent. I had her put down in 2020. On Sunday I will be getting a 2yr old female 'Bella" .A lady just decided she does not want her she was dropped off at a Kennel. How you do that ,just throw them away. A Bichon is not a dog you drop at a kennel .How could I say know. My Gypsy was a very special dog. I will need to remind myself this is Bella not Gypsy Rose Lee.
Both of my parents used to have one. Now the dog is my sister’s little dog. He is such a cute little dog. He is also very sweet and friendly dog. When my mother first got him home when he was a cute puppy. I fell in loved with him. When he gotten older that he hardly barked at me when I was hanging out at both of my parents house. I used to played with him and even cuddled with him. He is a 15 year old dog that lives with 2 cats. He did played with bigger dogs. He is a sturdy little dog. My sister has him for a little bit over 6 years now. I think if I visit my sister that I will play with him inside the house. He was funny running around the house. Even grabbing a pair of shoes in his mouth running around the house. I still loved him since he was a cute tiny puppy.
My baby boy is a bichon. He is stubborn but sweetest, little man. I wouldn't wish for a better pet.💜 I alao bought him for a breeder, and his dad was a top ahow dog. He was also the only pup in the litter, hence why he is larger than moat bichons we see. I love him so much ❤
I rescued my bischon 3 years ago when she was going to be euthanized because she could no longer be bred. I encourage everyone to look to adopt one of these older dogs that need a home.
BOGY is the best thing to happen to me besides my daughters he has been a major part of my being happy he is very caring and comfurting and everone loves him
I have now parented 10 Bischons Frises. Eight of them lived till 16/18 years of age. I now have 3 and 2 year males. I agree with everything that was discussed. This is not a breed for everyone. They are highly intelligent and will out smart you when given the chance. Especially when there are more than one. They will definitely work as a pack to get the job done! Despite the eight reasons provided, these dogs bring so much joy but only to dedicated owners. This is not a breed you can bring into your house and not to the work that they require. Thank you for providing accurate information to prospective owners.
My bichon rescue is terrified of people and doesn't like other dogs but with his family he's a cuddle bug 🥰🥰 Expensive grooming is probably the biggest con for me as otherwise he's been amazing
I absolutely believe I would be a good dog mom to a Bichon Frises. I am older but I still can get around fairly well. I don't go out for long periods of time. I have the time to groom properly and would enjoy doing so. I've owned dogs before but they were larger. I believe owning a Bichon Frises would be a good fit for both of us.
Sounds perfect for everyone. Bichons don't like long walks 30mins is enough. I'm on my 3rd & have to carry her if it's longer than 45mins, I swear she can read the time. She's not spoiled I'm just very well trained. 😂 She's a young dog but on walks will always approach older people & is naturally very gentle, she just loves that age group. They are wonderful dogs & their level of affection, sense of joy & fun is off the charts, I groom her myself, good for you for planning on trying it, it's not as hard as groomers make it out to be. You will be addicted very quickly & one extremely happy & contented person having an angel like this in your life. Good luck I'm so happy for you sending love from Ireland 🇨🇮 👍 🐶
Sadly, I live in a state that has all 4 seasons. I'd LOVE to have a Bichon, but, can't. Are there any small hypoallergenic dogs similar to the Bichon breed?
My adorable little Bichon Frise is the second Bichon I have had. He is absolutely the nicest little dog you could find This breed does not shed fur as some dogs do. They don not all bark . All I can say is these dogs are about the most adorable happy and loving dogs for young and old alike. that you can find. They are also not that difficult to house train. That depends on the owner and his/her patience and character. During my lifetime these dogs are the nearest to little angels and I have been lucky enough to have had many different breeds. The only thing is they are not really too much an out doors dog. This breed was originally Spanish and therefore loves the heat!
My parents have one of these dogs and right now it is a terror. It's just a puppy now and it's last owners kept it crated all the time, so he's just happy to be free. But training him is so difficult. He's smart, but he doesn't listen. I'm hoping as he gets older he'll get easier for them
I have my second Bichon “Murphy” don’t know what life would be without him! He’s extremely intelligent stubborn and very affectionate on his terms of course😉 Yes he requires grooming every six weeks and yes his appetite can be very fastidious. I cook for him and he seems to enjoy... However there are times where he will be dismissive and turn his nose away. Of course he'll reconsider later on... On his terms😂 I give him only bottled water... His face, muzzle eyes and paws were turning brown UGH! my brother made this suggestion... From tap to bottled. Within a week not kidding I noticed the staining started to lighten up. In about 2mos his face is all but white like he was as a pup! I will forever love my Murphy unconditionally as he gives me so much more in return.
A lot of these are totally not true except for the grooming and picky eater part. I live in the desert and my bichon could out hike me any day. I love my fur baby he’s been with us for 9 years and I wouldn’t trade him for any other dog 🥰
My first bichon frise last did about five days. His vet appointment was on the fifth day and my dad stopped to hold him for a little bit and then he just passed away my dad’s arms so when they got to the vet they were doing like all of the stuff needed but he just couldn’t stay alive but then the breeders felt really sorry for us because the stock is it Liz supposed to last year if they if we buy it so they sent us another dog buddy but still I miss curly more because curly love me a little bit more than body but I still love buddy just as much as I love curly
I have a Bichon/toy poodle mix, otherwise called a Bichon-poodle. Yeah, definitely has issues with separation anxiety and also food sensitivities. He can't digest kibble. I give him rotisserie chicken, roast beef, beef tenderloin, cheese, cottage cheese, eggs, and mix that usually with some "wet" dog food (but never kibble). He's 7 now, almost 8 years old. Has slowed down somewhat, but when Chochki (his name is Chochki) was about 4 years old and younger, we could easily walk like 2 or 3 miles, TWO TIMES A DAY!!!! After the walk, he would come home and want to play for like 30 minutes!!!! He had a huge amount of energy back then. These days I usually give him one nice walk every day (half-mile to a mile) and two other trips to the backyard or around the block. He's a happy little guy, but yeah, doesn't like to be left alone. I'm semi-retired, so it actually works out very well. On days when I'm working or have medical appointments, I put Chochki into Best Friends, a doggy daycare facility that is about 30 minutes away by car. That way he's not alone. He really doesn't handle being alone very well, especially since my mother and brother passed on last year. He's a happy little guy, and loves to play with me, but not the right dog for someone who works long hours or is enrolled in a very rigorous academic program. This breed needs a ton of hands-on attention! But they are very lovable dogs for the right owner. Very cuddly, and very protective of their owners. AND THEY DON'T SHED!!!!! Hooray!!!!! 😀
I have a bichon and she is the best. She’s 12 and I think she will live to be a weird crunchy white dog that is 20+ years old😂 She’s known as “honey the wonder dog” she to amount of stuff she has eaten and been fine. We have spent more on grooming bills than vet bills. She is a posh princess and we could not have asked for a better dog
I have a bichon frise currently. He is the sweetest boy. He's my best friend. I would recommend this breed to anyone. The only con I have is their allergies. My boy will chew his paws off if I would let him get that bad. But he gets allergy shots every 6 weeks to help. They also need grooming often. Just make sure you get them into a groomer every 4 to 6 weeks or brush them daily to help with their coat, not matting. Other than those things, he is the sweetest, cuddly, curly headed cutie I've ever had. They are truly one of the best breeds. ❤
I'm on my 3rd Bichon my 1st 2 had skin allergies, they ate chicken. My 3rd 1 very very rarely eats chicken & has zero allergies she's 4 & a half. Hope this helps. 👍🇨🇮🐶
If you don’t mind. What do you feed them?
Awww.. I'm sorry to hear about your doggie
That is so saddd😢I love them😊😊
It would be a perfect breede but I can't afford it😭
@@Miyana22 Yes, they are expensive to buy and care for. You can sometimes find an adoptable Bichon.
@@JT-2012 I live in Oslo In Norway so there are only two people who is selling Bichon puppies at the moment (one hours away from where I live) that I trust. I don't' to buy a dog that is not certified healthy. I've seen so many places on internet who seen them way too cheap
Just bought one!! We are on the way now to surprise our three daughters. We're so happy!
Our bichon was also a surprise from our parents when we were kids!
As an owner of a Bichon Frise, I couldn't recommend them more. I love my Bichon more than anything in the world, and they are the cutest dogs ever. (In my opinion) 🇮🇪
That's not an opinion that's a fact,I have one.I'm on vacation and can't wait to get back to see her
That's going to be a wonderful reunion. 🐶❤️ Bichons are the most wonderful dogs I have been fortunate enough to have had 3 in my life. Love from Ireland 🇨🇮 👍 🐩

Iam devoted to this breed. I have had four and wish i can have twenty. I love them❤
Bichons are beautiful, intelligent dogs.... I have had 3 and would highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed. 🐕❤👍
I have one named Otis and he is truly my heart and my world ….we both love each other so much ❤❤❤❤❤
Agree me as well we've had 2.
I know the feeling it's been 5 yrs I lost my Char Char and my ❤️ is lost still. Wht a really bad ❤️ ache. Ahh.😢
@@kathydennisallen4091 I’m sorry to hear that …. words can’t express the loss.🙏
@@kathydennisallen4091I lost my Charlie a week ago and we are heartbroken. The most wonderful friend I ever had.
I am lazy, high maintenance and loving person. Bichon is my dream dog 🤍💙
They are perfect
What about when you leave for an outing that you can’t bring a dog to for a few hours?
@@Roettgirl16 I keep them in my bathroom with their little bed and some water. If they need to go to pee they do it in the shower recess.
You should have a dog sitter or bring them to someone to watch them. They get separation anxiety. And I’m just a kid! @@Roettgirl16
My family dog growing up was a Maltese Bichon mix. He was such a beautiful loving dog from day 1. He lived to be 15 and a half.
My bichon frise passed recently at 14. She was such a wonderful dog and I miss her so much
My bichon frise passed a few weeks ago too. Lived to 16. I miss him so much, who knew a small white fur ball can change someone’s. life
They are the best dog you could ever have x they are loving and loyal ❤️ we lost our 13 year old 2 years ago, I picking up my new bichon next month ❤
RIP Bijou
My beautiful Marley passed away 2 days ago, he was 12 years old and unfortunately had diabetes for 3 years, I wish he can be in a better place, missing him so badly 😢 Bichon frise are the best.
My dog name is also marley he is 2months and we adopted him
My Bochon is 8 years old and still makes me happy 😊 he is also the most beautiful boy fur baby I have ever had
We had a bunch on frise I think for about 14 years. He was an Angel on Earth.
Bichons are the best most loving, smart, and adorable
I love my 4 year old Bichon Lulu. She was housebroken really quick and she learn to let me know when she wants out, which she learned on her own. I do agree with the separation anxiety. She’s so smart and playful.
100% agree I'm on my 3rd & they nearly toilet trained themselves they wanted outside to toilet at 8wks old. Incredibly clean clever affection dogs
I have a Bichon / Cavalier mix. She's half and half. She is the sweetest, loveliest dog. She loves to cuddle and is just so joyful.
I have a Yorkiepoo and looking into getting a Bichon, so your post is encouraging!
We just lost our bichons at 17+ years old we really miss her☹️
❤ I know its been a long time, but a tear was shed for your baby.
Thank you for your support in providing such valuable info!
GET A BICHON, THEY ARE PERFECT DOGGIES ❤ 🐶
They’re beautiful! We own one. Highly energetic/playful, and a ton of love to give. Indeed, they’re clingy. :) ❤
I have 15 no regret love them 🥰
My Bichon is almost 15 years old and she has been the most wonderful dog I have ever had!
My baby, Kenzo, is one of the best choices I’ve made!
I have one and you nailed this review. Great dog, but definitely clingy.
My favorite dog I’ve ever had. They are so loving and love to cuddle.
Best breed by far!
I appreciate this video. I was thinking of getting one. But I know I wouldn't be a good hooman for a bijon.
What a cruel thing to do! Why didn't you give her away.
I have a Bichon, he’s more than a year old and is really protective of me. He’s really really sweet and behaves like a kid
Yep. They learn nothing from near death experiences😅
My Bichon is the most amazing loving dog. Very blessed
Mine is so so soo cuddly, the best cuddle dog in my experience, like he loves coming to cuddle and get petted
Mine too
Many years ago I helped my mother in law find a Bichon Frise that an acquaintance of a coworker was looking to re-home because their kids weren’t spending enough time with the dog, Milo was about two at the time and he ended up spending another 14 years or so with them. He was the most gentle dog, and never even so much growled at anyone. The only annoying tendency that he had was frequent whining and would steal food if you weren’t paying attention. When Milo passed away at 16 years old, I cried as if he were my own dog, although I only saw him once or twice a week on average.
First time fur mama here 🥰 from Philippines, bitchon frise are the sweetest dog i met he's my stress reliever
I had one for 15 yrs. He died n November. OMG i miss him
I just lost my l mine in January.. he was 15 y/o. I miss him every single day.
I have a Bichon Frisée.
I agree with you comments.
Thank you!
I have one and ahe is great! Grooming sucks but lots of fun
Most of these are accurate however ive had 3 bichons and they've all come hiking and on adventures with me and love it
I owned one.
Excellent!! Bichon frise ❤🙏🏻🐶
Lovey dogs. Quite independent and very vocal!
Bruh finally someone who knows the correct pronunciation of this breed. Too many can pronounce bichon, but then say "freeze" lmao
I have an adorable bishon and he loves me a lot!!!!!!! ❤❤❤ beautiful dogs adorables!!!!!
My 15 year old Bichon has been and is perfect!
I love my Bichon mix ❤
I love our little bichon
My baby boy is a bichon. He is stubborn but sweetest, little man. I wouldn't wish for a better pet.💜
I alao bought him for a breeder, and his dad was a top ahow dog. He was also the only pup in the litter, hence why he is larger than moat bichons we see. I love him so much ❤
I rescued my bischon 3 years ago when she was going to be euthanized because she could no longer be bred. I encourage everyone to look to adopt one of these older dogs that need a home.
Great info, thanks! I have some prep to do before I would be a good match for a Bichon Frise. Will keep in mind when able to adopt next furry friend.
BOGY is the best thing to happen to me besides my daughters he has been a major part of my being happy he is very caring and comfurting and everone loves him
The absolutely most adorable pet I’ve had sisters plus one Male and one Female they were all perfection ❤
Bichon are wonderful dogs. Mine never would bark and bite for attention
Nor was she destructive. Best dog I ever had.
Mine would bark and bite for attention lol
I have now parented 10 Bischons Frises. Eight of them lived till 16/18 years of age. I now have 3 and 2 year males.
I agree with everything that was discussed. This is not a breed for everyone. They are highly intelligent and will out smart you when given the chance. Especially when there are more than one. They will definitely work as a pack to get the job done!
Despite the eight reasons provided, these dogs bring so much joy but only to dedicated owners. This is not a breed you can bring into your house and not to the work that they require.
Thank you for providing accurate information to prospective owners.
My bichon rescue is terrified of people and doesn't like other dogs but with his family he's a cuddle bug 🥰🥰
Expensive grooming is probably the biggest con for me as otherwise he's been amazing
Well. I we as a family love our Bichon with all our hearts. Have a brilliant day bubby
Bichons are one of the best breeds for allergy sufferers, cause they have hair not fur!!
Maltese
That’s very informative thank you. I was ok up to they don’t like long walks.
Cheers
We have our mijo our new alaga because my 3 grand daughters go to UK its very much fun taking care of this cuteee little one
Love mine he is the best 💙
I have a shih tzu bichon mix and I’m glad my paupers got nothing but his color from the tzu. Great dogs.
My parents have one of these dogs and right now it is a terror. It's just a puppy now and it's last owners kept it crated all the time, so he's just happy to be free. But training him is so difficult. He's smart, but he doesn't listen. I'm hoping as he gets older he'll get easier for them
Victoria Stilwell videos will help! I recommend your parents watch some and consult her website.
Love my Bishon Frise and she loves to go for walks
I have my second Bichon “Murphy” don’t know what life would be without him!
He’s extremely intelligent stubborn and very affectionate on his terms of course😉
Yes he requires grooming every six weeks and yes his appetite can be very fastidious. I cook for him and he seems to enjoy... However there are times where he will be dismissive and turn his nose away. Of course he'll reconsider later on... On his terms😂
I give him only bottled water...
I love ❤️ my Elvis he is 9 years old 👍
A lot of these are totally not true except for the grooming and picky eater part. I live in the desert and my bichon could out hike me any day. I love my fur baby he’s been with us for 9 years and I wouldn’t trade him for any other dog 🥰
I have a bichon and he's amazing.
I had 2 they were adorable
I have a bichon frisé
AND IT’s THE BEST DOG EVER !!!!!!🐩🐶🦴🐾
Congratulations
