You are a cryer? Well, Frieren has made all of us cry more than once, sometimes even more than once per episode. It is lighting in a bottle, as each and every element (music, characters, world building, art style, storytelling) works and fits perfectly together to create a whole that is definitely bigger than its parts. And most of the questions you asked here will be answered throughout the season (and the manga)! Is Frieren slice of life? It can be. But trust me, the show also can portray combat magnificently, if necessary. You ain't seen nothing yet! Which is a statement that can arguably still be made even after you have watched the whole season, as the chapters of the manga which have not been adapted yet are amazing. Here is hoping for an official season 2 announcement sometime in the near future. Preferably by the same team and studio who made the first season.
This episode had several excellent examples of symbolism with Himmel as Sky. When Heiter fell, we saw the massive rain storm. Himmel was crying. When Heiter tells Fern about his lost friend in the flashback, the backdrop is a clear blue sky. When Frieren finds the Blue Moon Weed, she is framed against a beautiful sky, showing Himmel is with her and happy.
Given that the first 4 episodes were intended to be watched in one sitting, as an introductory prologue, it makes more sense when you finish the next two. Since those of us in the comments have already seen this, we give you all the permissions to cry. I tear up a little in every episode, some more than others. Being a "details person" is actually helpful in this anime more than others, so don't be afraid to let go and enjoy the journey.
There is so much more to come, most people will find something to love about this anime!! I also enjoy learning about the worlds and the details of the magic, classes, leveling, etc. in these types of anime. I had a lot of dust in my eyes, I am not crying! hehehe Best wishes always!! 🙂❤
This is a journey where the journey is the destination. The second bottle frieren was pouring on the grave is actual the bottle were Heiter has in the hand and was talking to fern where she standing on the cliff one step away... and decide to stop drinking.
I can't wait to see you discover all the details subtly included in every episode. It's still a bit early to point them out and a lot of it is fan interpretation, but Fern's personality is a simple example. It kinda makes sense that she's reserved when you consider her past as a war orphan saved by Heiter. She's spent a good portion of her life trying to repay Heiter for saving her and we don't really see her socializing with kids her age.
You'll get your combat. And when you do you'll be like "wow this is like some of the best combat animation i have ever seen" I'm telling you when the devs made this series they were like "I know we want a lot of budget for the story but what about combat" and the boss was like "yes"
You’ve got a great journey ahead of you, this anime is so beautiful and chill, but it also has its intense moments. It does have combat, not a lot, but they pop off when it does happen, I promise. Stoked for the future reactions!
Episode 4/5 you will be very invested👍. Also she will explain a bit about Elves in episodes to come but they do live for millenias so they have a skewed sense of time
There was recently a story like a month or two ago, where a Taiwanese man helped stop a knife attack on the Taichung metro because his anime hero, Himmel "would've done the same."
First of all, I'm a little sorry if my English is a little strange because I don't understand English. Also, please understand if this seems like a long post. Also, I would like to pray for the repose of the soul of Ms. Atsuko Tanaka, the voice actress who plays the role of Flamme. This anime is overwhelmingly more beautiful than other anime, and it has gags and is a sad anime. You may not feel the sadness of this anime if you watch it normally, but I think those with a rich imagination or who are highly sensitive will understand it. Sadness is hard to understand at first glance, but if you use your imagination you will understand it. Also, this is a work that places more importance on inner feelings than flashiness. Also, this anime places great importance on the dialogue, and it's full of great quotes. Then, from around the 18th episode, the appearance becomes relatively more flashy. The lines of the characters in this anime are also very useful in the real world. When watching this anime, pay attention to the dialogue. Every episode was good, and even in the build-up episodes, it's rare to find such a good story, and episode 27 in particular is in a class of its own, it's an amazing and good story. It took many years for Fern to finish her training and become a full-fledged person. And even Heiter died. I'm glad Frieren was able to find a flower from Himmel's hometown. This anime is a really beautiful story. The way you use words is also wonderful. In Japan, it was broadcast in four episodes on a TV show called Friday Road Show. This is extremely unusual and has never been done before. This is the first time something like this has happened. These four episodes are the prologue.
@@KaiMaeReacts it's appreciated that you do that. Speculation from reactors is something I appreciate 😊 I was intending to just kinda gush about how well written Frieren is, and reading it now I can see how it could be seen as a criticism of you asking the questions. I apologize for this.

ahhh yay I'm so excited! and I'll be ready to cry LOL
3:56 notice how Heiter was holding a drink when he saved Fern, which implied he must have quited drinking for Fern.
Frieren poured exactly the same bottle on his grave It was the 2nd one. It had same amount of alcohol as in the flashback when he met Fern.

All your questions will be answered. This is how well written is this show.
hehe I know I just like thinking aloud for my reactions 😁
Just ran into your channel today. Seen it's fairly new. Glad you decided to get into frieren pretty quickly

awh I love that 🥹
Great reaction I like this anime.

yess totally
Trust me, you have no idea where this is heading save that it is spectacular...
👀
If you cry easily, this series is going to hit you hard. It's wonderful and beautiful, but keep those tissues handy.
oh gosh I'm SUCH an easy crier 😅

I have read that the combat animation team had previously worked on Chainsawman.
@@ObiwanNekody i could believe it with how some of the movement was in that anime as well
hehe I like a good mix! I've just been watching so many action packed animes lately lolol

It's a little slow at first. It'll pick up eventually, but this is definitely the journey of a girl on her self discovery.
Though had you watched the first 4 episodes together, you see the direction of her journey as well
I don't mind a slow burn ☺
There was recently a story like a month or two ago, where a Taiwanese man helped stop a knife attack on the Taichung metro because his anime hero, Himmel "would've done the same."
omg wait I actually love that 🥹
Thank you for sharing 😊

After the first 4 episodes it gets better and better and better and even better.
There is combat here and there throughout the series, but it's not the focus of the show.
it's actually a pretty interesting mix and since the combat is more rare it's so cool when it actually does happen haha
