Great tutorial. I was able to do it (and I’m not techy) myself and I saved $150 for someone else to do it. Now I’m doing it for my friends switches as well :)
I just bought these in white ! And I’m doing it in a scarlet red shell hopefully it looks good

@@ExtremeRate I would also love to see these for the Pro Controller. I mainly use the pro controller, so I would much rather have replacement buttons for that than my joycon.

I did this but with the gameboy shells. It’s really good! The shells were very high quality and the D-Pad completely blows the original switch’s Joycon D-Pad out of the water. I was thinking of getting a gameboy backplate for the switch OLED to go along with it, but I’ve never seen a gameboy backplate designed for the OLED switch

Is there a way to buy the shell without the buttons? Cause I want pink shell and white buttons but I don’t see an option for that cause the Sakura shell comes with it’s own buttons and the white buttons comes with grey shells
Do you have similar buttons for the PS5 DualSense controller? A set with the four different colors would probably sell well for those looking to do a retro themed controller.
Remind me to never do this myself again. I accidentally pulled out the wire cords and ruined one of my joycons 😭
Sadly my battery was glued in and I didn’t want to break the controller, my wife was so excited too. 😢

How am I supposed to differentiate between screw sizes 🤔
If you buy a kit it’ll usually come with that screwdriver, but from experience they don’t really work they’ve not the best so I’d just pickup a ifixit kit it’ll come with literally every bit you’ll need.
What about Dpad versions?
No Dpad at this moment :(
