Excellent!!! Our "Founding Fathers", as progressive as they were for breaking away from a monarchy, always seemed to forget that they wouldn't have been there without their founding mothers and those that provided support, whether by wages or slavery.
Since then so many people seem to forget that they wouldn't be in the here and now without their relatively progressive ancestry. I do wish we Americans could catch up with, keep up with, or better yet get ahead of, the times, instead of staying stuck in the past which was so great for only a select few. VOTE! No matter who tries to stop you.
By the way, when you vote, please remember: You can't be "Pro-Life" without being Pro-Healthcare for EVERYONE!

Meanwhile, those of us who remained under the European monarchs now often have a democratic system that operates more, well, democratically than that of the USA. USA might be suffering from the law of the handicap of a head start.

Saw Laura Love on her comeback at Millpond in Bishop last fall, and Roy Zimmerman back live in concern at the UU Church of Fresno last week. Just discovered this treasure! WOW!!!
Not only some amazing voices but what a great song. As an Aussie I am stunned at how difficult voting seems to have become in the US. Voting (or at least turning up and having your name crossed off the electoral roll) is compulsory here and if you don’t, you can be fined. It’s not a perfect system but voting is so easy. Postal votes are a breeze or if you’re away from home you turn up at any polling booth and cast an absentee vote. Pre-polling is open for a few weeks before the day and polling booths are everywhere. I hope the election process goes smoothly for everyone. Good luck.
Thanks. I like the way you describe the voting there. Mostly the process is the same here. However, we don't have the fine if we don't vote. Not all those that are eligible to vote are registered and of those registered, normally only about 1/2 to 2/3 actually vote. I think we will have a much higher turnout this year.

I saw Laura Love at a women's music festival in the early '90s, shortly after she released "Pangaea." Loved her music and her voice ever since!

Wow whatta inspiration n such a diverse choir....just like our already great wonderful nation! Sure we've had our growing pains n maybe it took a few centuries to begin to get it right. Up until 2016 we were on the high road and then in the last few years we've done a u-turn n seems like we regressed about 50yrs. On Nov. 3rd we can stop that regression by casting a "Blue Ballot. Rid Democracy of the likes of McConnell n Trump n put us back on the high road!!!
