  • In this video we go over the differences between the red and white version of the Cheerwing RC boat shown in a couple of our recent videos.
    Trever goes over all of the troubles he had with his and we do a side by side comparison out on the lake!

    The battery that comes with them is a really low C battery. I purchased a 3000mah 3S 100C graphine battery. It did require removing the battery tray and shaving the raised edges off to make the battery fit!

      That sounds awesome, we may give that a try in the near future!

      a good 100c battery is great if you decide to prop up...but for stock even a good 30-40c is fine with this boat..

    These really are the best boat to buy for the price…
    Add 4s battery and I have almost as must fun as I do with my $1000+ boats
    The arrow is now my 6 year old sons boat… (on 3s……. 4s is a little much for him)

      Now we have to get some 4s batteries and test these things out!

    boats are so simple to check over before you put them in the water... but yes boats should come put together correctly..and screw tight etc.

    What battery were you using and how much time did you get compared to the stock battery?

    • @DummyTechTalks
      @DummyTechTalks  2 роки тому

      I would say the new battery gets about 5 more minutes (up to 20 minutes in total if you're not flooring it the whole time )of use. The battery is as follows: HRB 3S 11.1V 3300mAh 60C Lipo Battery with XT60 Connector

    Is the ESC and motor all upgradable and is there a lot of parts available?

    • @DummyTechTalks
      @DummyTechTalks  Рік тому

      There are tons of replacement parts and from what we've seen, if you're willing to buy a new motor and ESC you can just pull the old ones out and put the new ones in. You may need to include a new receiver / transmitter too though because I believe the one it comes with is locked to the factory ESC... I could be wrong though

    i bought 2 of the red ones, I don't know if they are new or old versions, the esc is Velcro on the left, one has a leak ,that i cant find, it don't leak until its moving, all my lines are tight, and i cant see any damage to the hull, any ideas would very helpful, love your channel

    • @DummyTechTalks
      @DummyTechTalks  2 роки тому

      The one that has the ESC attached on the side with Velcro is probably like the white one in the video. As for the leak, it sounds like it could be something wrong with the water cooling loop, we can look at ours to see if we can find anything. I have noticed that I can get a little bit of water in the hull when using reverse, but haven't really thought too much of it. We are going to be re-greasing the shaft for maintenance and that should also prevent some water from coming in. Hopefully we can help you out!

      That's a good idea, we don't have any 4S batteries right now but we will look into getting some for testing them out!
      Thanks for the suggestion.

    Sorry gentleman, these boats are shit!! I am going on my third boat! First white boat ran only six times and the ESC sustained water intrusion. Sent it back. Received the red boat, ran this boat once a week for sixty days, and the prop shaft broke. AND THIS WAS “NOT” USER ERROR!! Yes these boats run on rails, but they are Chinese garbage!! Hope y’all have better luck than me. Waitin on my third boat from the eBay seller.
