Robert Cray is a hidden gem. I'd like to hear him more on the main stream. One of my guitar inspirations too. Great voice, and down to earth lyrics to boot.
This man is a maestro with his Guitar, it's plugged directly into his heart, it's upbeat Blues music, it'll get your toes tapping,✌️♥️
I love this guitar player. For me, the best song of Mr. Cray is "Right Next Door". He is amazing!
I prefer "Acting this way". Tastes n colors...

A real legend here.
Saw Robert on small stage in the early 80's @ Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. "Robert Cray and the Persuaders"..OMG...didn't walk and further..stayed there for 2.5 hours. Later went to San Fran and picked up his first album..knew he'd be a star.!
Alot of people can learn something from this. ROCK ON Cray!!
Saw him in 80's at Brisbanes Festival Hall. Brilliant isn't he😎 Right up there with B.B. and Clapton 😎😎😎

I went to a Robert Cray concert in CT - 50% of the audience were musicians. Some musicians don't get him either.
+Jacqui Crawford ....I've been listening to him since he started playing in Eugene, Oregon way back in the early to mid 70's.....and he still amazes me. He was always a good act to watch for good music and good times!!
My Brother played this for me in his car many years ago and I was Hooked!

Gray, and George Benson are very handsome and stylish stage performers and got voice of God .
Robert Cray is yet another example of good old American Blues, a brilliant singer the line up delivers a wholesome sound that makes listening to the blues so much more enjoyable, reminiscent of Clapton.
Obviously a blues legend. He has So many great songs. This is one of my favorites. I'm not usually into horns, but they sound great in this song...... Check out 'I can't go home'

From the days when they tried to change Mr Cray. No need to change him as he realized. He is a machine for emotional listening without the marketing.

Young Bob sounds great !!!
One of my all-time favorite concerts was at Alpine Valley it was the first night of 2 shows there was an opening band from Georgia Jada something like that they were really good and then it was Robert Cray and then Stevie Ray Vaughan and before Eric Clapton came out Jeff Healey did a few songs and what I remember Jeff Healey went to the front of the stage I just about fell off because Jeff Healey is blind at Eric Clapton came out and grabbed him before he went over the stage that was a really good show all of it and then they all came out and did an encore together the sad thing you could see on the monitor Bonnie Raitt was in the back stage area but she never came out and played with them I wish you would have we were going to stay another night and I said well we'll come back next year and catch Stevie Ray Vaughan well that never happened he died but I did get another chance to see Robert Cray years later up at Big Top Chautauqua in Wisconsin
wonderfull!
