    Best video on the topic yet. I see you lined up the red dot with the valve. You made it look easy...........I suppose the wheel you are working with makes it easier than most and I think the fact that you lubricated all the right spots also makes a big difference. JOB WELL DONE!

    I think this is the best on UA-cam , Considering the the tools you had to work with you done an excellent job, I've been 23 years in the tyre trade and i must admit i hate changing car tyres by hand.

    Just replaced a strap-on pressure monitor on my 20" Ford rim with a low profile tire. Crackhead at the tire place broke the band and taped it with electrical tape. Great video. Fifteen minutes work. Thank you for the tip about crushing the tire into the drop rim...

    Thanks man. I got a wheel and a used tire in good condition to keep as a full size spare to get rid of my useless donut spare. Hopefully it will go as smooth as this.

      A spare is always good to practice on. Low risk so to stay. Difficulty depends a bit on the tire profile. High profile - easy, low profile - trickier. Good luck and cheers for commenting!

      Yes! Especially the front tire of My motorcycle is a PITA. These balloony tires are a breeze to mount.

    Well normally with a new tire you wind up with a 3 or 4 inch gap between the bead of the tire and the rim flange which makes it way more difficult and requires a bead blaster to-seat the beads.. .

    you would of made it easier if you would of started the mounting process from the backside of the rim...also after you completely air up its recommended to deflate completely and re-air ....sounds wierd but as your tire shows you where to line up valve stem with dot marked on side wall...its prebalanced..the inflation and deflation the rei-nflation relaxes the rubber and actually ensures the tire isnt "out of round" which most tire manufactures recommend

      if You start from the front first . and then Finish it from the back side YOU May Bend Your Rim When Mounting It . Because there is nothing Supporting It. The Front Of The Rim Has Rib's To support It So It Won't Bend. the back Can Bend Much Easier. i hope This Help's someone out there. Peace

      This tire is easy to mount thanks to the to the high tire wall, which is very flexible (and of course a little bit of practice). It is much harder with low profile tires. The lube is a generic brand tire lube. Many parts stores sell it. Thanks for commenting Tony!

      That is tyre lubrication to make the install easier. Some use just soapy water. I bought a generic brand tyre lube. One can use glue, but that is only needed when the rim is pitted or corroded and you smear that only on the mating surface on the rim. Cheers for commenting!

      @@mrwiback Foot pump pressure and it comes straight back out.

      @@eddierodden Oh, you need quite a bit of pressure to seat the bead. Compressed air is the way to go. Any shop or gas station should be able to help you. About twice the recommended pressure should do it. It can be a bit scary but the tyre can take it. Just inflate till it pops (both sides). Good luck!

      @@cristianparra9621 About 32-34 psi after the tire has popped if I remember correctly. It takes a lot more to pop the tire and then i deflate the air and fill again to about 32-34 psi.

    Fredeilk, what type air compressor you use in your garage? Can you recommend one for pumping new fitted tyre like yours? Following your video, I changed my car tyre but my small inflator could not pump it up due to low power. Thanks a lot.

      Yes, full pressure. Of course I stop inflating as soon as both sides pop and then insert valve and inflate to correct pressure.

      @@mrwiback man, thank you so much for answering. Is like no matter how many ways I formulate the question to google all the results were about not overinflating your tires... And I never attempted this, and no video shows how to use the air compressor for this matter. So thank you so much again! Now I just have to figure out if the 2 gallon compressor from Milwaukee would be enough or maybe buy something else electric just for the tires.

      You have to scrunch the tire into the drop rim as you pick the opposite end over the rim. Pay close attention to what his feet are doing, or you'll NEVER get it.
