Hope he finds a good ball club he can thrive in and play in Post Season Baseball again. Twins weren't the best option, as an Astros fan he probably should have stayed but it was his choice. I love JP though he definitely gonna be special for this team in years to come.
Thanks, I appreciate the support! I’m definitely gonna have a “10 years ago” series where I look back at MLB events. KTO has been doing that for the NFL for years now and it’s a killer series, I want to do that but for baseball
Damn I didn't realize Correa has averaged over 7 rWAR per 162, that's higher than guys like Machado, Soto, Arenado, Acuna, Harper, Vlad, and J-ram have, yet it never seems like he is talked about as a top ten player like those guys are. Though it is worth mentioning that Fangraphs does view him a lot less enthusiastically, particularly by defense, having over 8 less fWAR, though 31 fWAR by the end of your age 27 season with a 5.7 fWAR per 162 average is nothing to scoff at.
Damn who knows how many playoff games he’d have under his belt had he stayed and been good with Houston. I know it’s not unheard of, but for a top prospect to be drafted and not make their debut for 9 years? That’s crazy. With no injury history? Life is crazy.
Just two years after a breakout season with 33 HRs at Tampa Bay in 2021, Mike Zunino was traded to Cleveland. He started out well but slowly slid towards the Mendoza line with a minimum amout of power. A totally different player. The Guardians finally gave up on Zunino and released him. Whether he makes it back to the Show remains to be seen. At 32, he may have peaked. A good kid and a UFla legend, he had a decent career but fell short of real stardom.
Cubs don’t win the World Series without Almora tagging up from 2nd, he was also never the same after hitting a ball that ended up injuring a little girl in the crowd. Really great guy and I hope he can get back into baseball, he deserves it.
“Maybe, just maybe, Correa can help Minnesota beat the Yankees” 2 months later: “man, that Jeremy Peña kid is having fun in the playoffs? I’m opting out!” - Correa, probably
I understand that line of thinking but I feel like top 10 picks are expected to at least make some impact at the big league level. Someone like Dahl, for example, is tough to call a bust cuz he at least contributed for a little bit, but someone like Zimmer never really did anything and was drafted a couple picks ahead of a star pitcher. Anything beyond the top 20 picks or so and it gets really random really fast. Hard to call any non first rounder who makes the league a bust imo.
Best part of Buxton being the best centerfielder In the history of Minnesota twins, is that he doesn’t play centerfield at all because they prefer his mediocre bat over his injury risk….
Unfortunately, I’m a twins fan and man do I love watching buxton play. I’m happy we locked him down with a long contract, but I’m terrified that his career his gonna end up being like a David wright career. And the thing is it would be even worse because we haven’t even seen ONE full year of buxton playing yet. I’m honestly losing faith in him and it makes me extremely sad because he’s a mvp caliber player but he just cannot stay on the field for a full year.
Where does this come from? This dude just said he has a legit shot at the HOF!? And it’s not just that he can’t stay healthy, even his 162 game average is .240 with 28 home runs. He’s fun to watch but so was Shane Victorino but nobody called him the best player in the game.
I want the astros to trade for Byron so bad, the injuries won’t affect them that much because. That’s how u prolong a dynasty imo, u strike while you’re hot.
Didn’t know this video was a year old when I watched it lol crazy what happens in one year. Buxton continues to be injured and can’t hit when healthy and Correa is mediocre
I see this is reaching a new audience. If you liked the video, please leave a like and subscribe. It’s free and it helps me a ton. Thanks!
MF Doom samples throughout make the watching experience even better. Nice video.
MF DOOM ALL CAPS
The fact that Minnesota has both Buxton and Correa in the same lineup, man, it still feels like I'm dreaming
Top 2 picks, 2 most successful, now, both Twins. Sounds pretty sweet to me
too bad he leaving already, overrated
Too bad the twins suck and couldn’t make the playoffs in an awful division even with Correa being the best offensive shortstop in baseball
@@AndThatsBaseball i would take healthy royce lewis over correa lmaooo waste of money we could spend on pitching
Idk what more you want from correa, he was the best player on your team this year
Bro you background song choices are 🔥 so many classic samples 💯

Astros fans getting to go from Correa to Pena while I'm stuck with IKF is truly unfair to me and I will be angry about it now.
@@AndThatsBaseball Many months late, but hey, you’ve got Volpe now!
Loved that you used music from the best baseball movie of all time "Major League"
I loved the major league soundtrack lmao that alone got my subscription
Love your background music choices.
Love this, please do more of these! You got a new subscriber!
Glad you enjoyed!
Hey dude you’re doing a good job with content. Keep it up.
I REALLY like this “where are they now?” prospect theme. Maybe you can make more in the future.
Thanks, I appreciate the support!

He just needs to be on the field
In my feed today and my first time watching you, and I gotta say your context is awesome! Love this top 10 picks too! Keep it up!
Glad you liked it!

Dahl is now in the Padres organization
Carlos Correrá… that name will forever be infamous with us Dodger fans. (Shuddering to my core)
Same for Yanks fans. No matter how much I hate him I have to respect him as a fantastic player
@@AndThatsBaseball - I wish I can give the same amount of respect - I can’t.
At least he unites us fan base with one thing. 😆

Love Correa his time in Houston was a great ride. Wish him the best, he’ll probably be a Dodger next year.
Not a Twins fan but I hope Buxton stays healthy. Dude is one of the most exciting players to watch in all of baseball when healthy.
definition of insanity
Agreed just one year 155 or 162 keep dreaming I know but I'd love to see it
Love the Major League tunes playing in the background
This video is Pretty Good

6:58 “Fried would become the de facto ace”
Lol and also just like the only starting pitcher on the team
I’ve been fascinated with the late 2010s Braves rotations. Folty, newcomb, touki, so many guys who were supposed to be stats
“Maybe, just maybe, Correa can help Minnesota beat the Yankees”
2 months later: “man, that Jeremy Peña kid is having fun in the playoffs? I’m opting out!” - Correa, probably
Correa doing the pregame show while the Yankees start IKF at shortstop is the most comedic part of this
Imo if the player makes it to the majors then he can't be a bust. The odds of any minor leaguer making is astronomically low.
I understand that line of thinking but I feel like top 10 picks are expected to at least make some impact at the big league level.

please make more of these bro
Same time next year
Best part of Buxton being the best centerfielder In the history of Minnesota twins, is that he doesn’t play centerfield at all because they prefer his mediocre bat over his injury risk….
Carlos Correa also seems to have a keen interest in percussion instruments.
Maybe so, but he hit better than any shortstop this year in Minnesota. There’s no denying his ability
nice vid
Thanks!

buxton is the most fascinating player since bo jackson. dude is unbelievably toolsy

spleen injuries are very serious...
Yeah, I don’t know how that happens playing baseball, though. Must’ve been a crazy collision or something
yooo! what was the beat over Max Fried?

Playing outkast in the background while talking about Max Fried...
My friend who did that part is from Atlanta
Buxton has no shot at the Hall of Fame😂
If he had like 4-5 healthy seasons he’d absolutely have a shot. He’s that good. That’ll never happen, but that’s the context of what I said.

Oh god no, I don’t need to see him beating the Yankees down in the ALCS, too

Zunino just recently retired right before this season started
Almora Jr was good this year in cinci
Really talented outfielder. He’ll have a job as long as he can play defense.
Correa’s contract is not team friendly lol but dope video
It was team friendly compared to the contract he’s about to get I bet
everybody finds a way into Cincinnati
"great team friendly deal" lol

Correa Buxton Fried Zunino and Gausman are all good to great and Heaney was pretty good this year too
@@AndThatsBaseball ehh...Correa and Fried are the stars (Buxton is to injury-prone)

September 5. He came in relief and coughed up a four run lead if I remember correctly, maybe got one out.

shohei is gonna win a silver slugger 🤭
It’ll prob be yordan
Correa never apologized his word were literally I’m not sorry
3:09 Heaney throwing 90 without the least amount of effort possible. That's crazy to watch.
Correa had some serious balls to propose to his girlfriend right after cheating his way to a title
That was pretty cold tho ngl. He said I got a ring now u get a ring.
