Dygert Farms Creamery: Farm to Product

  • Have you ever wondered just how a delicious glass of award-winning chocolate milk gets from cow to your refrigerator? To celebrate Dairy Month, the New York State Grown & Certified team joined forces with dairy producers Robby and Shannon Dygert for a behind-the-scenes tour of their award-winning dairy farm and processing plant!
    The Dygerts own and operate Dygert Farms, a 13th generation dairy farm and dairy processing operation. Rich in history, the farm celebrated its tricentennial anniversary just last year, and also was New York’s 2023 New York Agricultural Environmental Management (AEM)-Leopold Conservation Award, which honors a farm and its nominating Soil and Water Conservation District for their efforts to protect the environment through the preservation of soil and water quality. And, the Dygerts also took home gold in the Chocolate Milk category 2023 Dairy Products Competition! It’s safe to say they know what they’re doing, so take a peak behind the curtain at how this award winning, 13th generation farm and creamery makes their delicious dairy products!
    As a participant in the New York State Grown & Certified program, Dygert Farms is adhering to a higher standard for food safety and environmentally friendly practices.
