@@martina_eberl_coaching_en I’ve not tried it, as I do not have a hula hoop. Seeing the plane the hula hoop needs to stay on is a great visual of what we should do. I may have to buy one, video my rotation, and see the plane I create myself.

I was a strong competitive tennis player but really struggled with golf until recently. After years of listening to golf professionals, reading books ,etc. my swing looked like I was trying to kill a poisonous snake with a club. It was so stiff, so inconsistent, I quit playing for years at a time out of frustration. Last year I decided to give it one more try by throwing out everything I had seen and heard about the golf swing and incorporate the natural feelings and motion of my tennis swing. Your video is the exact transition I ended up with. I was pleased to see the confirmation, as well as the positive results that have me enjoying the game for the first time in years.

Using the hula hoop is such a great way to show the continuity of the rotation from up swing to down swing. excellent video..I was trying to feel bent over baseball swing and now can add hula hoop angles.. it really clears up bent over swing vs vertical feeling..can you do video with baseball bat swing with hula hoop? Baseball swing with golf club is so powerful and soft but angles have to be right after you bend over and it has to remain at same angles back and FORWARD..you saved me so much time realizing that left should does work down in a turn [not forward pivot] and right shoulder goes down forward and the CONSTANT is the head and body dont change height or angles both BACK and 80% through until end a swing where the soft momentum drives you up the full finish.

I have been playing golf for 30 years and have always had a problem with the turn - I think this lesson is brilliant

Thank you Steve! I beat you with 6 years more... But I totally understand how you feel. Even I am wondering a lot, if I do it well enough myself...

Very well done!! Best I've ever seen at clearly describing and providing visual cus for the proper shoulder/hip rotation in the golf swing. Thank you for sharing.

Gold. Best instruction I have ever seen. And it works a treat…best part is when I’m hitting poor shots I know why and go back to this.

It took me 20 years to learn this 😩 and I’m still learning. I was doing a flat turn (turning my shoulders in a parallel line) and no one ever told me that I was doing it all wrong! i’ve had at least 8 teachers over the years. this is a very important video! got to get that shoulder tilt!

Just try to get it more towards the ball. It's still a turn... Step by Step!

It’s insane how most instructors don’t address the foundations of the swing and biomechanics

Well done Martina! Bravo! Excellent description of the turn. You are also showing a good example of early extension or coming out of the shot. Many amateurs including myself are guilty of that. Also, I really like the segment of what you are thinking as you address the ball. Not thinking turn but left shoulder down and than right shoulder down. I’m sure this video will be very helpful to a lot of people. Thank you!

Martina - a great way to explain the difference between “turn” and “rotate” - especially when “shoulder down” is dismissed as
S&T witchery and the “new way” is stay centered and turn/turn/turn hard! Love it!!!❤

When I try shoulder down, shoulder pointing towards the ball, left next flexing down (slightly - hard to judge when I am swinging) - I feel like I always chunk and can't get through. Where am I going wrong here (obviously big question without giving video).
