your scrub radius could now be wrong as you've spaced the front wheels out, unless the aftermarket wheels were the wrong offset and you've now corrected it with the spacers. the rear spacers don't appear to be hubcentric, so that's gonna be dangerous, the studs are now taking the weight of the wheel as opposed to the hubcentric ring as the manufacturer designed.
Did the back wheels wrong, those lugs you put on for the wheel lugs are supposed to be the lugs that attach the spacer to the hub not the way you did it
Excellent job on detail and putting the cookies on the lower shelf. Sure it's not rocket science but you pretty much answered most every reasonable question some of your viewer might otherwise have. Thanks much for doing this.
I have a mk4 Jetta 2.0 same color as the oem color on your lil bros golf most mods you have done are the same/similar to what I have done i actually just purchased the same exact front 15mm spacers which came with the extended lugs on my car. Thanks for the videos keep them going , if your brother goes any lower in the front I recommend rolling the fenders due to wheels sticking out more and possibly get a hybrid oil pan $80 us dollars and is steel at the bottom of the pan a true life saver.
Seems like it's just extra weight if there's no actual interference. Also, some guys prefer a "tucked" look to the wheels being clearly within the fenders and somewhat under the fenderwalls.
Hi Milan! I need your opinion about wheel adapters. I'm driving VW Golf mk3, and last week I bought new wheels. Now I need to use wheel adapters to make switch from 4x100 to 5x100, but people telling me that wheel adapters are not really safe. I need your opinion about that, couse you have much more experience with that.
Not a spacer question but i bought some aftermarket wheels for my Mk4 Jetta they are 5x100 17x7 offset is 45 i believe and i know the stock lug bolts are Round 14x1.5×28mm so which Conical tuner lugs would i need i know they will be 14×1.5 just not sure on the mm?
Those spacers are not a good idea but those are fine adapters fine as they fine true center any. I'm a professional machinist and true up centers all day everyday. I have a set wheel adapters one for the past six years and I've had no problem with them so far. If you can find hub centric spacers or adapters for the exact size hub for the possible two different sized hubs on vehicle then do it. These spacers and adapters are probably just generic meant for more than one type of bolt circles.
that's not the difference between the 2. there both wheel spacers. wheel adapters are actually made to fit a different lug pattern to your car then the existing one.
+Joseph Kaufman as a matter of fact the front are not. neither are adapters. the fronts are universal for 2 different patterns. 5x100 and 5x112. the rears are just spacers as well.
+ Brendan Chennells Exactly! Those are spacers. Just bought a set of spacers for my Jeep for clearance and they are a 5x5 to 5x5 bolt pattern, which states it's a wheel "spacer". You're 100% correct man. But what really got me heated was that they used the nuts that come with the spacer as their lug nut. Those nuts are meant to secure the spacer to the hub, not the wheel to the spacer. That's why vehicles have closed end lug nuts. Supposedly Milan is a car guy though...
That's not what I was saying. You're supposed to use closed end lug nuts for the studs on your spacers, not the nuts that come with the spacer. The nuts that are included are for securing the spacer to the hub. Of course you can't do that with a car that doesn't have studs on the hub but you should have bought true lug nuts because it is 10 times safer.
love the stance. but if you're using wheel adapters/spacers, make sure they're hub centric, the ones you got on the rear aren't hub centric, the front ones are
Hey guys. I have a Dodge Ram 1500 20in 5 lug rims and a friend gave me some American Racing rims that I like. The problem is the rims are Ford F150 22in 6 lug rims. What will work safely and still look good. Thanks
What size where the wheel adapters? The smallest ones I could get from ECS for my Audi where 22mm and I’m concerned it will push the wheels out to far. Thank you,
do wheel adapter change the offset of the wheels ur installing? im trying to to install custom 3pc wheels made for a 95' BMW M3 to 13' VW CC by using wheel adapters. I know they make wheel adapters in different thicknesses too.
I have a little problem in the rear tires of my SUV it has the same adapters in the front and rear...the rear tires are wearing out on just one side of the tires ..and I can see the wires .how could I fix the problem..
+MichaelEscobarTV You can purchase hubcentric wheel spacers. They are typically better for your vehicle anyways so that the wheel is flush to the spacer and doesn't cause vibration/wobbling. Just search on amazon bud.
If i put wheel spacers with 57.1 Center bore on my mk4 golf will i nees biggger hub center rings or no? Just a question, what would a squeaking sound from the rear right wheel i think, I'd like to think its brake pads but the squeaking STOPS when the brakes are applied even slightly. Can anyone help me out here?
milanmastracci Thanks for replying, I wasn't sure if it was because my brakes are in pretty good condition, I'll get it checked on tuesday, test is in 2 weeks
That couldn't be explained as it is different for every car. Look up the ET value of your stock rims and then just buy the wheels with the "correct" offset (one you would like). It is also safer that way instead of using spacers.
Anyone know if running 5mm or 8mm spacer in the front and 10mm or 15mm in the rear is safe/good on a MK4 Jetta? My car is not lowered still on stock suspension just running 17' wheels and 205/55 Tires all around. And are hubcentric wheel spacers the way to go wanna try adding some to the rear first.
Hey milan I installed spacers similar to the ones you have on your accord coupe. I noticed at regular speeds driving in the city everything is fine but once up to highway speeds i feel the car wobbling. I dont get a vibration noise just feels different like its not supposed to be like that. Any advice? Thanks in advance for any help
You need alloy hub spigots that change the fitment of your alloys to match the hub I had to do the same for my e39 alloys to fit a e60 only 2mm diffrence but stopped my wobble from 40mph to 80mph on motorways Find the original hub fitment for your old wheels and your new alloys and find the corresponding spigots They cost virtually nothing but make a big diffrence Its because the 2mm diffrence is quite a lot and when you fit them on your car the alloy can still move so when you tighten up the bolts it pulls it out of centre causing the wobble

No. Do you use loctite when putting your lug nuts on? You can if YOU want, however it isn't needed, as long as you torque the bolts up to the proper specification.
milanmastracci No because my wheels come out often enough. I don't think im ever removing my spacers. Do YOU remove your spacers/adapters whenever you work on your wheels? I don't think so.

Yes they are hub centric. Center bore 64.1 mm, same as whats on my 2016 accord.
You need alloy hub spigots that change the fitment of your alloys to match the hub
I had to do the same for my e39 alloys to fit a e60 only 2mm diffrence but stopped my wobble from 40mph to 80mph on motorways

***** correct, having a gap between the centre of the wheel and the hub itself puts all the stress on the wheel studs/bolts.

Doing a google search is the easiest way, however your wheel should have stamping on the back-side of the spokes indicating the bolt pattern :)

I prefer spacers with extended studs, but there are pros and cons to both.
milanmastracci adapters sit on the hub?
hi my friend you have make a mistake.the spacer need to have a lip so the wheel be on center
dio944 it's just not hub centric but yes it is a mistake
Most aftermarket rims are not hub centric at all. What centers the rim is the nuts when tightened down. Ben running non hub centric 2inch spacers on jeep for 3yrs.
Aren't these bad for your Ball Joints and Wheel Bearings?
+NBA Truthster only? Pretty expensive changing wheel bearing if you ask me lol
