I've had an Equinox for nearly 5 years and in my heavily farmed UK mineralised soil (with extra helpings of fertiliser, poo and pee from sheep/cows/and horses!!!) I've always ground balanced using the pump method which generally settles between 43 and 53. At this level I also suffer with bump falsing. You are the first person on any platform that I have seen or spoken to (including several detecting retailers) that advises to manually set at 25 and not above 35!!!! I'm hoping that this is the lightbulb moment I've been looking for as I've struggled with depth and - numbers since I first got the Nox. I'm not mega keen on the beach to land method 0 GB with iron volume set to zero either - it feels like cheating even though I can just about find as much as my mate with his Nox on beach to land - but I've felt recently he's digging many more targets and deeper. Fingers crossed for next weekend and thank you very much if this gives me better results!!! Btw I've searched for this topic for over 4 years and this is the first time you have popped up with an explanation on UA-cam - although this has been posted for 11 months :) many thanks and happy hunting!
Thank you for the comment! That is why i felt this video was so important. So much bad advice or little advice is out there on ground balancing. Even from the supposed experts. (Salesmen) I hope it works for u mate, dont go about 30/35 and let me know how u get on 😎😎
Very informative

Be interesting to see how this effects a fairly deep hammered will it loose depth or sound clearer ?
A less confused machine will perform better.
