This is a fantastic video! Showing the old fella who was a pioneer and telling his story was the best part. If only folks knew the things he had forgotten in bass fishing.
I got to meet Mr. Marion Tipton at the Gadsden, Alabama Fishing Tackle Expo. We talked an hour about building baits and Racing Dirt Late Models around Tennessee, Georgia and the Carolinas. Couldn’t get any better.
Tip a legend in the game !!! Andy is the man for bringing this bait with all the help and support from tip flipping as good and wholesome as it gets tight lines guys !
Legends right here. Growing up myself on Lake Chickamauga & camping on weekends at Watts Bar when I was young teenager, this is a true inspiration to me. The "chick magnet" is Definately going in my kayak arsenal 2022. Thank you guys.
I would give anything I have worth any value which isn't much by the way, just to spend one day in the boat with Andy, never pick up a fishing pole and just sit there and watch that man fish and see the way his brain works while he's fishing and why he makes the decisions he makes as he's fishing. One of the best to ever pick up a fishing pole in my opinion and stupidly underrated!! The other day I was on someone else's channel that I won't name he's a pro and he has his own channel and he had a list of the top five anglers to ever fish pre-electronics, I agree with that guy's list but I feel like if you don't put Andy in that top five you're highly mistaken! But I agree with every person he put in that top five I just feel like Andy and one of those guys have to have an asterisk between the two because Andy's one of the best to ever pick a fishing pole up and I dare anyone to argue that... Natural instincts are something that cannot be taught, you either have them or you don't and that man has them!!! I wish I just had a quarter of the knowledge that he did.. but I'm still young I'm in my early thirties I still got plenty of time to figure this thing out even though I've been fishing my entire life, but now it's more like playing a video game than it is fishing. If you don't have a setup to play fortnite on the front deck of your boat then you can't compete.. but I feel like Andy can get on anybody's boat with or without electronics and come back with a bag any day of the week just off natural instincts and that is exactly why I would give anything I have worth any value keep in mind which is not much at all, but I would give it just to spend one day in the boat with that man!!!
Great job and giving credit to the duo that got it started years ago, great story that needed to be told!! Can't wait to get my hands on some of these cranks!!
I am new to fishing I watched your video the other day I bought a red color chick magnet I have never used a crank bait I used it today water was 52 water color muddy I caught two bass today with it was awesome never caught a bass using a crank bait thanks guys
Love the story! I’m sure it’s a fine plastic bait and ill buy them, but it really should be balsa wood, there is no duplicating the action of it with any man made materials
Nope. When this plug was made ott was in diapers. They were painted in my shop when tip first cut them many years ago. I'm speaking of the balsa 24 not the plastic. You can never duplicate exactly but this is very close.
Hats off to all the old-timers who made the sport what it is today. Respect👍🏻🙏🏼
Amen
Yes indeed much respect 🙏

Need more stories and videos like this one - AWESOME!!!!!
If everyone was like tip and Andy the world would be a better place
Huge Thank you to "Tip" for his ingenuity and craftsmanship, because it all has to start somewhere 🎣🏆

I said it once,& I'll say it again, there is no school like old school, period
I love this but I'm worried what this world will be like in 20-30 more years just don't see men like Tip as much anymore
No idea👍
Hopefully you did the right thing and made sure old man Tip was taken care of…..
Unfortunately we are pasts the mindset of" get it done"..
😂 strike kings attempt to dispel the fact they stole this plug off of Ott
I was thinking the same thing.
Body looked like a Frittsides

I think you kinda missed the point here dude.
Did you even watch the video? Jeez...
Exactly what I was thinking. I don't see what all the fuss is about TBH.
I agree all. Nothing new but let the old fart have his glory
