A similar spoof happened in a game called you only live once. It starts off as a Mario style platformer where the plot is a man trying to rescue his daughter and the game has two endings Ending 1 is if you die at any part from beginning to end and the bad guy gets arrested for kidnapping and murder. Ending 2 is if you actually beat the game and you get arrested for murdering the bad guy.
