  • While staying in the town of Sestri Levante, Italy, on the northern Mediterranean Sea, I decided to do some shore fishing. After fishing the rocks and beach out front of our house with little success, I noticed a rock point with some big cliffs on the other end of the bay that looked like it would be holding fish. So I decided to head over and throw out a couple casts to see if anything was there. Sure enough, there were a bunch of small snapper called Painted Comber that were absolutely smashing my lures. Even though they were small, they were good fighters and were incredibly beautiful as well! Oh, and the scenery was epic!
