Kristin Vigard ( Morgan) was the very first person chosen as Annie on Broadway. But somehow they fired her before she even got started. Andrea McArdle took over. This devastated Kristen. They showed this on a movie on Showtime about fifteen years ago and looking back at it, after all those years Kristen teared up at the memory.
John Wesley Shipp has a great singing voice and this is the only the 2nd clip I have seen him sing. I also have heard Lisa Brown (Nola) sing and she was great as well.
The Justin/Elizabeth/Jackie/Alan storyline was a bit of a let down with the departure of Cindy Picket in the role of Jackie. I wish Picket had stuck around to finish the story.
Morgan has a very bad reaction when she sees Amanda. Neither of them realize at the time that they are in fact half sisters. Lucille Wexler raised Amanda as her own child her entire life, when in fact her exec housekeeper, Jennifer Richards, was Amanda's real mother. When Lucille found that out, she tried to kill Jennifer but ended up killing herself in the struggle that ensued. On her deathbed, Lucille told Amanda that Jennifer tried to kill her and Amanda believed Lucille. Jennifer went on trial and intentionally perjured herself so she would go to jail and Amanda would not find out she was her biological mother (Amanda was pregnant at the time w/a difficult pregnancy).
Omg! Memory lane! I started watching when I was in Jr high! I'd rush home from school to watch!
OMG!, This scene with Elizabeth and Jackie has me in tears. It's sad and beautiful.
Wow. Great scenes. Such nostalgia.
Classic Guiding Light.

Because she was too sweet for the tough orphan Annie
She reminds me of the little girl on The Waltons.
He has an amazing voice.
The scenes with the children is so sweet.

Mike Bauer can sing too. He was an opera singer.
@@ChrystalSmithdirect Yes, I saw an episode where he did sing and he had a beautiful voice!
This is great!
The part of Ed Bauer is now being played by Peter Simon

The children that spent the holidays hospitalized.
The girl that is in the slammer with Jennifer later plays the innkeepers daughter in Ireland where Nola and Quint and stay on their honeymoon
The original Jackie was so sexy and alluring. This one was positively mousey.
At 13:25, I heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend who heard it from another you know Kevin Bacon! I just realized he was there.
He was on Guiding Light in the early 1980's. His character had an alcohol issue that Dr. Ed Bauer was trying to help.
Kristin might not have been Annie on Broadway...but she got to have Kevin Bacon as a Boyfriend that has to account for something!
Kristen Vigard performed Annie on Broadway but was an understudy
Did the curly haired man star on Search For Tommorrow?

Sadly Amanda lost the baby when the truth came out.
