Rx7 all day.
I agree with you 100% on the tuning being a huge factor! Did not shoot the carbon 1 but I did enjoy the CP30 . Can’t wait to see if they add the time lock for next years hunting bows and they can take my money! I also shot the rx7 ultra and kinda fell in love with it. All this is coming from a 5 year mathews shooter
I have mentioned this before, other than tune ability, and the fit and finnish, only due to hoyt's paint tends to chip on the solid colour options. I think the draw is better on the hoyt, i have big hands so the grip is better for me, less vibration, hoyt is a little lighter and faster. As for the price up here not a major difference to make me pick one over the other. Hoyt has been producing carbon bows for a long time and have been the king of the hill for sometime. This is bowtech' s first year with a high end carbon bow and smashed it out of the park. Competition will make these companies more competitive and innovative. Can't wait to see what these companies bring to the table next year.
This is bowtechs third carbon bow.they had the carbon knight and another bout 2014.
@brucehillbillybarthalow3786 he said high end.
Solid review! Good to see your honest reaction to these bows! Its pretty much how it shook out for me. Tough decision to make. Really its a win win!
Any plans to review the SS34?
If the shop I shoot at gets one in for the shelf i will for sure!
Another great review man. Personally id take the Bowtech also. Keep your content coming! The Helix i won has been a dream come true. I'll hunt with this bow until i can't pull one back. 😅 It's a shooter. Keep on rockn bro 🤘
Heck yes man good to hear!! I’m pumped it’s still rockin for you!! That bow was honestly one of my all time favorites!!
I like the grip on the hoyt rx7. The bowtech is smooth but ugly and heavy
After seeing your first review on the carbon one, I was surprised to see this review and even the carbon one vs era. But I noticed that the orbital dampeners were missing in the first review. Thats probably why it had so much vibration.
I wouldnt mind getting my hands on any of the carbon bows this year, though. They all look fantastic.... but I would make an enemy of my wife pretty quickly, haha.
Great catch!! Yes they make a big difference! And just do a few side jobs so she doesn’t know😜😂😂
Thank you for a Great video
Bowtech offers military discount
The price that we pay for the compound bows technology is huge on the better buy.
Not to mention the fact that bowtech is essentially 2 bows on one
The question is would i rather go home with a blonde, brunette. Just personal preference at that point honestly.
Exactly🤘🏼
With the Hoyt I can hear the release of the string and the impact of the arrow but the bow Tec is a lot quieter sound wise but it is a indoor sound so if I were to shoot them I could choose a better one 😊
The Hoyt in person is super quiet
@thehunter9149 yea, my rx7 is quieter than my v3 31 or v3x 29. It's about the same as my athens vista 31. Super quiet.
@@WolfinWolvesClothing713 the rx7 is an awesome bow
How were those orbit dampeners attached ?
what is that release? the link dont work
I'd love it if you would take the stubby stabilizer off the hoyt, or add it to the bowtech (or other bows) so the comparison would be more equal
I get what you’re sayin! I try to compare them “out of the box” rather than swapping them around. However I do want to start doing them as a fully setup bow as well to give more opinion on each bow! Appreciate the support!!
Out of the box is a more fair comparison. I have an 80# rx7 and that little stabilizer makes almost no difference. I took mine off because it wasn’t worth the weight
I totally get the "out of the box" idea but it seems that a weighted, dampening device already attached to the bow is a little bit of an advantage. Like what if a bow came with an 8" stabilizer attached, and then we compared it to a hoyt with a stubby and said oh well, that's how it came. In any case, I think set up with the same stab set and sight would be an awesome way to do it. I really dig your reviews none the less. Thanks!
@@jeffersoncroci9406 go shoot the bow with and without the butt plug and see if you notice a difference
@@jeffersoncroci9406 I mean the stubby is supposed to be the equivalent of having a six or 8 inch stabilizer.
What type of vanes?
Odd this should be called the Fourth as they had the carbon knight 2013,the icon 2015 and Zion 2021 and now the carbon one. Makes me wonder what happened and why.
They have also had the carbon rose, and that all being said, the carbon one is their first carbon flagship bow. Maybe due to better quality materials? Not too sure the reasoning.
This was Bowtech’s first hand laid carbon bow, like Hoyt makes their carbon bow. The previous carbon models were injection molded, not ideal.
speed comparison would be a tie breaker
They are rated within 1 foot a second of each other. Unless one is 20 feet faster speed isn’t really something that’s make or break on either one
@@bigz5262they are only rated close together if Bowtech is in performance. No one wants to compare a Bowtech in performance, which is unfair to others, because they have performance built in. If you want to compare a bow to Bowtech in comfort, then other bows need to back their limbs down to 60lbs so performance is the same. Then their super smooth draw isn’t really any smoother than the others at the same performance level.
Are you over at Humphries?
Yeah!
@@HaxenHunt Nice! I watched more o your stuff and it’s good to see another local! Great content my man
@@jarenteague5189 appreciate it man! Maybe we’ll run into each other over there!
Blowtech limbs is still a problem
Nope
yes

Guy almost pulls the cams off on the one...relax bro😅
Whoever designed the carbon one needs to be fired. It is so ugly. Probably one of the ugliest bows I've ever seen.
