I just looked up the BMI chart for my height and it says anywhere from 118 to 159 is a normal BMI. The last time I got down to 130lbs I had people tell me I looked too skinny or sick. I couldn't imagine being 118lbs. I am not sure about these charts. :)

I liked your sincere thought about noticing your skin is flatly as you lower weight. That is happening to me too.
A little loose skin is the price I have to pay for gaining and losing hundreds of pounds over the years, as I get older I am ok with it, how we feel health wise is so much more important! -Em
I love that you guys are just showing how to cook normal food, not pushing all the keto products. Also agree tracking is like a ball and chain, we really need to learn portion control. I have to stick to OMAD to reign it in.
I definitely have flabby skin after my weight loss. The more I lost, the flabbier it got. Especially on my arms.🤨 I’m not a fan, but it is what it is. 🤷🏻♀️ The good thing is I feel so much better..😊

I think as we get old we the loss of collagen isn't helpful with the loose skin. I certainly have a number in mind where I want to be but we will see. I've seen so many older people who lose a lot of weight ( usually through weight loss surgery) who look like somebody just stuck a pin in them and they deflated like a balloon. I would rather have a little more weight on me.
I've been doing longer fasts and I believe that helps. You get new skin every three months...so be patient and some of this will improve over a year or two. Many people rush to get skin surgery too quickly ( not something I would consider by the way) but it is recommended you give your body some TIME.
I love sleeveless tops and dresses and have always had very big arms that I was never a fan of but wore those sleeveless tops anyway. I will do the same after the weight loss, I don't care....I'm letting my bat wings fly! I've lived too long being self conscience ...I'm over it.
@@marciahorn471 my skin isn’t so bad. I can live with it. Lol on the bat wings. I’ve been using collagen for a year now. I do wish I knew about it as I was losing my weight. I’ve seen the people with the weight loss surgery. You’re right about the skin. Mine doesn’t look like that. I’m definitely not getting my skin removed. I’m learning to love the new me!♥️
@@marciahorn471 how long are your longer fasts? Any suggestions for someone that isn't sure they can do more than 12-16 hour fasts?
When I think about my loose skin, I remember my beautiful little grandma who was about 4'9" and round as a punkin. Her underarms were like wings and when she hugged me, it felt like an angel hug. Loved her so much. And to those who love you, those are your angel wings.
I think using the sauna blanket also relaxes the nervous system too, which lowers insulin! ❤️🙌🏻🙏🏻
LOVE what yall said about eyeballing the carbs and trying to stay under 20!! That’s my intention! Been on keto for only a week but when I first saw yall and heard you say (paraphrasing) that you were somewhat laidback-yet-serious about your approach, I was all IN! Overthinking is always an issue for me! I eat lots of meat, eggs, and cheese, and really my only carbs are blueberries for my smoothie dessert each night.
I don’t do keto even though I tried it and found it wasn’t for me. I left the FB keto groups I was in but I still watch your videos because I love your personalities and still gain things from the content.

I’ve heard that you will be disappointed if you only focus on the end result and you really need to focus on the process and the small wins along the way. It’s the work and sticking to your path and the hard work you go through is what you need to celebrate and attach the feel good vibes to so you don’t end up being disappointed when you get to your goal and it’s like what now.

You girls are absolutely adorable. This video really touched me because I try so hard to track everything I eat. It is exhausting. I only needed to lose 20 pounds, and I did. Now everyone is saying I look so much older. That is disappointing to me, so I have now decided to gain a little than stay keto to maintain it. I get confused as to what to do. Remember that people see you one way, and when you lose weight they aren’t used to seeing you that way. Hey Angie, I look much younger than my actual age (I am 45) and I would love looking my age or even a bit older! Looking very young is not what is cracked up to be. That being said, these people saying you look older are indeed being rude. This will sound cliched, but diet-wise you should do what is good for you and your health, and not act based on what other people think. Cheers!

Thank you for saying that tracking macros is overwhelming. That's why I quit Keto before. I felt like a failure because I couldn't make my macros work out perfect and felt like I had to eat a bunch of fat that was actually unnecessary. I've only been doing it now for going on two weeks, but letting go of the tracking and just making sure I'm staying under 30 net carbs (to start) has been very freeing.

Thank you much for all this extremely valuable info! I can't even begin to tell you how much your honesty and candid talks about a keto experience has helped me. I lost 21 lbs in my first 2 weeks and I was so revved up about it but when I suddenly stopped losing I started feeling very discouraged - even though I was totally comfortable with my 18/6 fasting and NEVER being hungry! Hearing you say that it is possible to go back and forth with a couple of pounds on the scale but ultimately moving in a downward direction is fairly normal. I can't tell you how much this helped me stay on track! Thank you, thank you!

Also, peanut flour - I used it quite a bit the last time I was on keto, favorite use was adding a bit to almond flour for breading on my baked chicken tenders. Is it something that you you've used? I love the stuff!

I have started a know carb diet and I have lost 20 lbs my first 6 weeks . My highest weight was 265 lbs and my goal is 175 to 165 . I think you need a good healthy balance so you don't look old and sickly. I'm glad I found ya all and I am super excited to try 0some of these recipes.

I think you are bang on about goal weight, I had the hardest time with the last 20 and didn’t lose it but I would also not been able to maintain it without strict exercise and hate exercising! I also love to garden!

I 100% agree.... that it’s NOT about the number on the scale, but instead it IS about the whole package deal.
What would be the point of being 125lbs, if you feel and look unhealthy when you arrive at that number? So many ppl loose too much weight, and it makes them look older & sickly.
In reality, we look much healthier & more youthful when we have the right amount of flesh between our bones and the outer skin. I’ve been there, and lost weight in an unhealthy manner.
I didn’t focus on my overall health (the PACKAGE DEAL) and when I achieved my “number on the scale”, and when I looked at pictures of myself....😱I was so sad!
This weight loss journey is achieved when we feel good (healthy) and happy within ourselves... and at the same time we can be proud of who we’ve become, when we look at a picture of the outcome.
I do the same as you two, I just stay at roughly 20 net cards a day. Started July 15 th this year at about 305 and am down at 264 now. Just started on a whim and haven't really had too much problem with it, haven't fallen off the wagon at all.

I’ve tried and failed at weight loss so many times. I’m considering creating a channel to put myself out there and hold myself accountable but I’m so shy. Do the video help? How did you overcome and become comfortable in front of the camera?

Really like your videos. I can’t relate to some of the keto vloggers. Continuous blood monitoring. Super athletes. Plus you introduced me to chaffles! Have you guys done much with yam noodles, shiratake noodles? I really miss noodles and Asian food with noodles. I can live without pasta. But Asian like Japchae and jajangmyeon, even those horrible ramen bowls. The yam noodles are tricky though.

Hi Cheron! Great question, its been so long for us though and this is the hundredth time weve done keto (this time has been almost 2.5 years) Some people experience keto flu and brain fog, but that's just because you are changing the fuel your body and brain are used to. Once you get adapted to keto, you will experience mental clarity, and sleep better. Added electrolytes will help alleviate most keto flu symptoms- Em
