It does make sense though. For characters to be memorable in character design, you have to make them exaggerated. And many of us are gonna be lazy af and re-use some stuff I did that for Crystal by making her star hairbands much larger so you can see them in the sillouette
OK so first of all: with the claws I dont see a similarity, Engel's claws are smaller (in comparison) to Fen's claws. His claws are more comparabale to that of someone like miss Thavel or Circle. Second of all: Fen sports an ahoge, Engel has two feathers on his head. Those are not the same. Third and last of all: the spikes are Fen's feet (for as much as you can call them feet). Engel is wearing shoes. Those are also not the same.
