I saw 700144 with 9S52 from Three Bridges to Cambridge, 700140 with 9J60 from Horsham to Peterborough and 700115 with 9J57 from Peterborough to Horsham when I was at Farringdon that we went home, breaking up from school for the start of the summer holidays!
Hitchin railway station serves the market town of Hitchin in Hertfordshire. It is located approximately 1 mile north east of the town centre and 31 miles 74 chains north of London King's Cross on the East Coast Main Line. Until the current Stevenage station opened in 1973, many Intercity services stopped at Hitchin. In August 2007 Hitchin was awarded Secure Station status after improvements to station security were made by First Capital Connect, including new lighting, extra CCTV and the installation of automatic ticket gates.
Brent Cross West station on the Midland Main Line is to open later this week that Thameslink trains will mainly serve the new station. I haven’t been to Hitchin before.
@@benGBRf I had planned that nothing ran anyway and that was the case! It was a Bank Holiday which I don’t think Alstom work at any of their depots. Thanks though.
Thanks for the suggestion! I hadn't considered Heworth but I have considered it and I will definately attempt this in 2024. I love the idea of the Tyne and Wear metro and it will be even more appealing when the Class 555s enter service.
The Gatwick Express units are on long term loan from Gatwick Express but since GX and GN are part of the same Franchise, its technically not a lease or a cascade. The GWR units - 387173 and 387174 are on long term lease to Great Northern whilst the 387 fleet are fitted with ETCS In Cab Signalling. Hope this helps!
I literally had the weirdest Thameslink to Sutton Surrey from st Alban's it came into the station and it opens it's doors closed departed for 1 sec stopped opened the doors tha closed them the left at like 50_60mph at London st pancras
This is stupid but it's always annoyed me that the Azuma carriages are 10ft longer than the Mk4 ones because even though they go the same speed, now the doors / bogies don't pass with the same frequency and it feels a touch slower, idk I just hate it lmfao
Class 700s operate all Thameslink services. They are all Third Rail (DC) and Overhead 25kV (DC). They swap power sources within the Thameslink core between Farringdon and City Thameslink. Thanks for watching :)
Great video Ross. Nice to catch 3 freight trains and a Tamper unit 👍
Freight on the East Coast is rarer than it should be but I’m glad to have caught these four! Thanks for the kind comments as always Arnold 👍🏻😃
@@StarlifeStudios No problem Ross

Glad I could visit your local! I've fixed the description, that's a copy-and-paste error. Thanks thediamonder11 👍

Because you might spot the new class 810 EMR
nice video! can you go to King's Langley next?
What a great intro Ross 😉
Thanks Ben, you might be a bit bias!😁 I wasnt expecting it on the fasts to be honest!
@@StarlifeStudios always expect the unexpected with GB 😂
Random question for you. On Monday, is there any chance of 5Q68 running or anything WTT from Derby Litchurch Lane? Thanks 😊
@StarlifeStudios just seen this apologies. How did you get on in the end? Is there anything else you need to know?

Great video can you do Stevenage soon i live there
Starlife has been to Stevenage
Can you do you Banbury please I live there I can show you round
Hi Joshua, I plan to visit Banbury early next year. Hopefully the 68s are still around!
Good video, you should go to Heworth it gets loads of action from the tyne and wear metro and national rail.
Thanks for the suggestion! I hadn't considered Heworth but I have considered it and I will definately attempt this in 2024. I love the idea of the Tyne and Wear metro and it will be even more appealing when the Class 555s enter service.
How come GN have GX-liveries and GW-liveries that they haven’t repainted?
On lease

Ah thanks that makes sense. Is that why some white trains have blue but others have green doors?
387 172 is also with GN.

Wait a minute, i thought the 700 was third rail only, not both like the 395 or 387
