No we must blame the ANC for the immigration crisis, go to the next interview... Where he interviews the manager... As a South African the immigration crisis does not upset u after watching this then I don't know
As the head of state he must be blamed. He's the one person who allocates positions of power and that should percolate down the hierarchy. As a leader, you're accountable for everything
Let the Quality Control measures be implemented right at the entrance to the power stations; much like security checks. That way they'll be able to separate good quality coal from garbage. Moreover, those who supply garbage can either be held accountable or arrested. Delays are a small price to pay compared to expensive maintenance work and loadshedding.
The bottom line is that Eskom management were incompetent in putting policies and processes in place to secure top grade coal....thief is a problem in most companies...but Good management make the difference....People respect what you inspect .....if you put a plane in autopilot it will soon crash ....Good human intervention is required ...
We can't talk about how the supplier stores the coal... Eskom is supposed to have an SLA on what amount of moisture they'll accept and if it's not in spec, they don't buy. And another thing, doesn't Eskom test for calorific value of the coal? Cos I think at that point they'd know whether or not the coal will burn
They should ask the supplier for sample results of their coal quality and before Eskom use it also do the test on that coal for quality before being loaded into their boilers. If its not matching their standard or requirement of the coal they need, then reject it immediately. I can imagine the costs and the damage on those boilers and downstream equipment, whoa....
One question where is the inspector that used to inspect each load of coal before it goes into the ESKOM Stock yard ???? Or have these syndicates done away with him years ago they hade inspectors at all stock yards and this was a process but i suppose that has also done away
There is no way this wasn't known to our so called authority...now that it's out there people will pretend otherwise...sivalekile isghodi Se sinkwa madoda, people must be jailed and the concealers of this rot too
I hope they will sit in jail, and not get out for many years. They should not think they can get out for evil plans they do for money. The evil in this world. Go and work for your money to live on not steel other people's hard working money.
So Carte Blanche needs to step in 1st before there is action taken 🤣 wow .... Our media does a quick skit about it to explain BS reasoning why and now this story will die with the hawks " investigating " and how can you interrogate somebody on private property as a service man 🤔
Watch Carte Blanche, there are more than 2 or 3 episodes on coal that explain what happens when coal is stolen/switched and dumped to make this coal which is off a bad grade... Companies and mines end up having a bad reputation because the coal leave the mine in a condition called grade A and when it reaches final destination it is in a condition grade B, C or D which is very bad.
Eskom has an economic theory problem, it is not an engineering problem.. Economic theory says you cannot control both the price aand the quatity of any commodity and electricity is a commodity. The price has to go up because that is that is what will lower the price as new supplers enter the market . Price controls are stopping the market mechanism from functioning.

Well done Hawks👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Excellent Hawks .
They should get the death sentence.
They must be arrested and put in jail as an example to other illegal suppliers to ESKOM
Why not terminate the contract if the product supplied is of poor quality?
It's the truck driver to be blames they are offered 20k to offload a bit of high quality coal and the swap and mixed with low quality
BEE
The contract itself is probably illegal too lol so maybe thats why they wouldn't just cancel it. This is banana republic you know

Bravo the hawks. Great story.

Now the government is working, people were doing as they pleased.
In New South Africa crime pays

That's a coal Discard. Government should monitor coal waste dumps and the coal brought at Eskom.
