i marched mello that year. surprisingly no stories of anyone dropping the horns from the toss. my job was just to grab my buddy’s mello amidst the chaos so he could then huck a guard person in the air. good times, thanks for posting
@@declandougan7243 ok, guess i'd better just shut up re: opener then, friend. xD. btw i'm not anti vocals. 04 crown was pretty magical imo and that was the use of vocals that hit me in my feels the most. just that 13 ballad was so gorgeous musically and spoken words no matter how apropos were distracting to me.
@@cowapocalypse75 In DCI it’s all fun and games anyway. I find the antics people get up to arguing about show quality quite amusing. I was mostly fucking around, because we’re both crown fans, and this was such an amazing show.
A recording done by a proffesional recording studio, they did this with 2013 as well. Basically get the hornline to do a full run through with proffesional microphones
This is called dci, marching band on steroids essentially, there is a huge fan base and audience for the activity :) also nope this is not from captain america
All these bands, should buy American Products. Ludwig Drum Company, is right up the road from Carolina Crown, in Monroe North Carolina. Please start purchasing products made in the United states. Junior in high school here.. I could never do that to my trumpet lol with my luck, I'd drop it lol
i marched contra in 2012!
@@andrestretchnikov4591that is so cool!
11:21 is the greatest musical hit in dci history. Everything is just perfect
I may be a bit late to the party, but even though BD is my favorite corps, this will forever be my favorite show of all time
DCI should do a thing where studio recordings are available for purchase
Finals and semifinals shows from I believe 2014 onward are available here marchingmusicdownloads.com/
@@Matt-ox4gz That’s from on the field though, not a studio.
5:43 I like to call this part "SCV 2018 but better"
SCV by any chance?
5:58 my fav part
The articulation does it for me🤯
i actually liked this one waay better than 2013
I am irrationally angry at you. Opinions are subjective but you’re objectively wrong in your opinion.
@@declandougan7243 haha, ok, xD. well fwiw if they had omitted narration in ballad i would've liked it a lot more than i did.
@@cowapocalypse75 Now I’m even more pissed. That was the best use of vocals ever in dci and the only show I’ve ever shed a tear about.

*Um som incrível e uma afinação perfeita, Parabéns Carolina Crown*
The chord at 6:22 chills!!
Fanfare for the Common Man at the beginning 😌
Am I the only one who thinks of a what if scenario where if this season had a drumline like crown 2009?? That would have been so sick
I can’t find any studio recordings on their website anymore. :’(
Bruh both of yall made an account may 5th.... kinda sus ngl
To any Crown members! Did anyone ever drop a horn when they tossed them into the air???
Look at the cadets 2011 opener. : )
Look at 2019 crown finals a bari drops their horn 😬
@@christiangonzales1372 yo
@@santiago09aguilar yeah I saw you talk about it on insta lol. Nice to see you have a good attitude about it
@@christiangonzales1372 yeah it happens lol. I never dropped it...until finals. Nothing happened to horn or anything.
that thumbnail looks scary
Ballsy to have a whistle in the pit at the opening hit 0:59 kinda works... kinda hate it?
It drives the suspense of the brass hit.
What's a studio recording?

Please don't ruin it for the rest of us
Courtland Brewer what???
Theres no mouthpiece on the bari in the fronts horn????? Am I blind??
That's the left side of the horn so the mp and valves are hidden.
The mouthpiece's reflection hides it, the end of the mouthpiece is right around at the end of the bell bow so it looks hidden
anyone else just see the drill in their head watching this?
11:22
this from captain america?
This was in 2012 ☹️
What do you mean?
This is called dci, marching band on steroids essentially, there is a huge fan base and audience for the activity :) also nope this is not from captain america
Ummm no it's not.
It definitely does sound like music from a Captain America movie though. Or The Incredibles.
